If your fantasy baseball season is in the dumps, I’m here for you. If you just like preparing for your fantasy football drafts as soon as the calendar strikes June, I’m here for you too. We are going to start kicking it into gear over here at Razzball with regular fantasy football content to inject into your thirsty veins. But, I can’t give it to you all at once, my dear readers. You’re about to get a taste of your favorite thing to argue about. RANKINGS! A top 100 is the perfect place to start. I have a couple of explanations for some players before you peak at the rankings at the bottom of this post. I’ll keep them tweet length, but I promise that our writing staff will go into more detail as the preparation period wages on.

The ability to insert quarterbacks wasn’t available to me for some reason. I’ll just have to do that by hand right here:

Patrick Mahomes #34, Baker Mayfield #41, Andrew Luck #49, Aaron Rodgers #63, Cam Newton #82, Deshaun Watson #85, Drew Brees # 93

Players I’m Seeking Out

Julian Edelman- With Rob Gronkowski retired for the time being, I expect Julian Edelman to be an even thicker blanket for Tom Brady.

David Montgomery – I expect him to take over the Jordan Howard in Chicago and be very good at it.

Damien Williams – He is a clear 2nd round pick for me. He will continue to be a huge asset for an offense that scores a lot.

DaeSean Hamilton – I expect him to be a good fit for Joe Flacco.

Dalvin Cook – Finally stays healthy and has his breakout season.

Kerryon Johnson – Takes the next statistical step in being a top fantasy football running back.

Players That I’m Fading Right Now

Le’veon Bell – Bad offensive line and a coach that is a running back killer.

Todd Gurley – Get that knee away from my fantasy team until I hear some good news. I reserve the right to promote the discounted price at a later time.

Julio Jones- I think that Matt Ryan has a down season and Julio continues to pile up yards but not touchdowns.

A.J. Green – I don’t believe in any Bengals outside of Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon.

Marlon Mack – He’s good, but there are running backs that I would rather have at his 3rd round price.

Note: I concentrated on 0.5 PPR rankings and the FantasyPros algorithm set the standard and PPR rankings for me. This makes the standard and PPR rankings look weird so don’t get mad at me for it! Blame them!

Can you explain the Ertz ranking. I’m not really high on him either, but that seems so low compared to the industry, I’d love to hear why.

There was an algorithm error converting 0.5 PPR to STD. I figured out how to change it manually. Everything should look normal now for standard

The first thing that jumps out to me, is the ranking of quarterbacks. The likes of Baker Mayfield (fourth round) and Andrew Luck (fifth round), shows a strong cup of confidence. Both guys, are not going to provide anything in terms of rushing, which does give me caution to drafting either of the two that high (I do realize Luck had been much more of a runner in the past, but you have to error on the side that last year is more of what to expect in terms of trying to keep him healthy. With the position being deeper then ever, it seems like every year it gets stronger with quality depth. With players like Watson (seventh round) and Brees (8th round) and a Matt Ryan that is not even in your top 100, the list is endless with options that make more sense in pushing that position down further and further in rankings.

I generally wait on quarterback. Strategy is at the descretion of the reader. I see Baker having a big statistical hike this year and I also don’t think we’ve seen the best of Andrew Luck. I understand your point on lack of rushing yards with Baker.

Im assuming you expect the playoff touchdown production (six) to be more of what to expect for Sony Michel instead of the six over the course of the regular season? His absence in the passing game, makes it hard to view him that high, if you don’t expect it to carry over to this upcoming regular season.

The Chris Carson and Rashad Penny rankings really pops out, Carson saw at least 17 total touches in 12 of his final 14 regular season games. He out touched Penny 15 to four in the lone postseason game. Are you thinking because Penny is a first round pick, he is going to get forced more touches?

Yes, i believe Sony turned a corner in last year’s playoffs that would be why his ranking is that high. I believe his production in last year’s passing game was his floor.

I expect this season to be a break out year for Penny. He at least has the opportunity to get himself to the top of the depth chart or at least an even split. Pete Carroll has even said Carson is far from guaranteed the starting job.

What do you think of all the negative comments being thrown about Damien Williams not being able to continue his success?

I was able to land him in a $$$ league 12 team full point ppr where we have to start 3WR 2RB and a flex, along with QB, Te, K, DEF. Did I mess up by taking him here?
    Qb: Lamar Jackson, Bench:Jimmy G
RB: Kamara, Connor, Damien Bench: David montgomery, Breida, Jaylen Samuels, Malcolm brown
WRs: Godwin, Fuller, Kirk, Bench:Dede (big year incoming for DeDe?), Curtis Samuel, tre’quan Smith
    Te: Hunter
    K- stream; DEF-stream

Would you give up Damien+Westbrook for Hilton? Offer is pending for me to reject or accept…

I think they’re very unfounded considering how well he performed in a high powered offense towards the end of last season. I totally get wanting to handcuff him with Carlos Hyde, it’s probably a good idea. But Damien Williams is the starter and whatever back is in that backfield is going to put up big numbers.

I love that team, it looks like a team I would draft in all honesty. Yes, I think Dede can have a big breakout year with an increase in QB production from Foles.
