Welcome to week 2! I was really encouraged last week when nobody in any organization tested positive for Covid. I’m really starting to thing we are going to make it through this year with minimal messiness. As for my week 1 rankings, the week 1 FantasyPros accuracy report hasn’t been released. Outside of Monday night, I felt like things went well. For sake of context, I was out on Ben Roethlisberger and JuJu but they put together some magic together. Can’t hit ’em all.

My strategy for week 2 is implementing what we learned about backfields and targets in week 1. The Michael Thomas injury also has a huuuuge effect on rankings this week. I discounted Drew Brees, gave Emmanuel Sanders and Tre’Quan Smith a big bump. I even put Jared Cook into the top 10 TEs for this week. Talk about a waterfall.

For running backs, my projections assume that as of now, Miles Sanders will play in week 2 and James Conner will not. Doug Pederson said that holding Miles Sanders out was precautionary and that makes me believe that the 0-1 Eagles will be ready to roll him out. When it comes to Conner, playing with a sprained ankle doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. If he dresses, we still have have to assume that it’s Benny Snell’s backfield. Here are my initial rankings for week 2, and they will be live with changes up to kickoff on Sunday.
