Quarterbacks

  • Player: Caleb Williams
  • Game: vs. Jaguars
  • Stats: 23/29, 226 passing yards, 4 TDs, 1 Int & 56 rushing yards

After two bad games to start his season, Williams has turned it around over his last four games posting a 9/3 TD-INT ratio while surpassing 300 yards twice. I would note all four games were against teams that ranked within the top 10 of fantasy-friendly defenses to QBs. Following his bye, Williams will travel to DC in Week 8, who allowed Lamar Jackson to throw over 300 and 1 TD. As for Jacksonville, in their last four games, they have allowed all opposing QBs to finish as top-5 QBs. Drake Maye will have his chance in Week 7.

  • Player: Jared Goff
  • Game: at Dallas
  • Stats: 18/25, 315 passing yards, 3 TDs

Goff is starting to heat up for the Lions after a sluggish start with turnovers. He finished as QB4 in Week 4 and Week 6 against above-average pass defenses. Goff has also thrown multiple TDs in three straight games while limiting turnovers. The Lions will be back indoors against the Vikings, who allow the 11th-fewest points to QBs. Goff will be tested in his upcoming game which should be a high-scoring affair. Looking ahead to Lions schedule, they will play indoors in five of his next six games, which historically benefits Goff.

Notables:

Jordan Love continues to throw TDs. He’s thrown multiple TDs in every game this season. The Packers’ offense is finally healthy since Week 1 and they look to be a problem for defenses as they spread the wealth across all their playmakers. Love will face the Texans next week who are tied for the second-most passing TDs allowed to QBs this season.

Jalen Hurts benefited from the return of both his starting WRs since Week 1 and threw multiple TDs for the first time since Week 1. I don’t believe in coincidences in fantasy. Hurts returns as a must-start with great QB matchups in his next three games against the Giants, Bengals, and Jaguars.

The Patriots passing offense could be relevant for the first time in a long time. Drake Maye threw 3 TDs in his first NFL start against the Texans who allow the 13th-most points to QBs. As mentioned earlier, he gets an ideal matchup against the Jags in London.

Kyler Murray had a dud against the Packers who entered this week allowing 255 passing yards per game to QBs, which ranks as the eighth-most and they put up 34 points.  I have concerns about Murray should Marvin Harrison Jr. miss time. Things won’t get easier against the Chargers who allow the sixth-fewest points to QBs on MNF.

Running Backs

  • Player: Joe Mixon
  • Game: at New England
  • Stats: 13 carries, 102 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD; 2 receptions, 30 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD

Mixon returned when the Texans needed him most with Nico Collins lost for the next four games. Entering the game, the Patriots allowed the 11th-most points to RBs, so Mixon shareholders were hopeful he would suit up. He faces a much tougher defense on paper in Green Bay, who limited James Connor to 46 total yards. New England has now given up eight total TDs to RBs as they travel across the pond to face the Jaguars. Expect the Jaguars to feed Tank Bigsby after they failed to establish a running game against Chicago.

  • Player(s): Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker
  • Game: at New Orleans
  • Stats: Tucker: 14 carries, 136 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD; 3 receptions, 56 receiving yards, 1 TD | Irving: 14 carries, 81 rushing yards, 1 TD, 24 receiving yards

Irving, a Razzball favorite, received the spot start and did not disappoint, but Tucker stole some of his thunder. We told you to pick up Irving multiple times and if you did, enjoy your spoils. He should continue to have a featured role even when White returns. Tucker was the surprise breakout player of the week. Interestingly, the Saints were one of 13 teams to allow fewer than 90 rushing yards per game to RB. Should either Bucs back start or see more volume, they have a hard time duplicating against the Ravens who allow the 10h-fewest points to RBs. Sean Payton returns to NOLA for TNF, so fire up Javonte Williams and hope he gets touches.

Notables:

Speaking of the Ravens, nine TDs in six games for Derrick Henry. The King scoring TDs is inevitable. The Bucs have allowed four RB TDs, will the streak continue?

Start your RBs against Carolina. They are the only team in the NFL to allow double-digit scores to RBs. ATL’s backfield went bonkers with 200 rushing yards and three rushing scores. The Commanders’ RBs are the lucky ones next week.

Tony Pollard handled his business for his shareholders against the Colts who entered Week 6 as one of two teams who have allowed 500 rushing yards, 200 receiving yards, and three TDs to RBs.  More importantly, he could have the backfield to himself against Buffalo after Tyjae Spears injured his hamstring. The Bills allow the second-most points to RBs.

As for the Colts, they will face the run-heavy Dolphins in Week 7, which may be one of the few games to start a Miami RB without Tua.

You would have liked Alvin Kamara (40 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD, and 4 receptions, 17 yards) to have a better game with a rookie QB starting. Tampa Bay gives up the third-most receptions and third-most receiving yards to RBs.

Najee Harris went over the century mark for the first this season, albeit against an injury-plagued Raiders defense. Kyren Williams should be in store for a big week at home against Vegas in Week 7. I would sell high on Harris after his best performance of the season as he has yet to rush more than 14 times over his last three games. Harris averaged 21 touches in his first three games of the season.

Wide Receivers

  • Player: Zay Flowers
  • Game: vs. Commanders
  • Stats: 9 receptions, 132 receiving yards, 9 targets

When given the opportunity, Flowers flourishes as Jackson’s number one option. Flowers has finished as a top-15 WR in three out of the last four games when drawing at least nine targets. With consecutive games of 100 yards, he has a legitimate chance to make it three with a matchup at Tampa Bay. The Bucs are susceptible to WRs at the 12th-highest rate and have allowed three WRs to cross the century mark this season.

  • Player: A.J. Brown
  • Game: vs. Browns
  • Stats: 6 receptions, 116 receiving yards, 1 TDs, 9 targets

Brown has only played two games this season and has finished as WR7 and WR2. Brown will be a bonafide WR1 for the rest of the season. Hurts is looking his way often and is making plays all over the field. Health permitting, I do not see a tough matchup on his schedule. If you can acquire his services, I would look to do so now.

Notables:

We’re finally getting the Terry McLaurin breakout that many of us hoped for due to competent QB play from Jayden Daniels. McLaurin has scored a TD, gone over 100 yards, or both in his last four games. He has a layup against the Panthers next week.

10 targets for Diontae Johnson means a top-10 WR finish with Andy Dalton, which has happened three times in four weeks. Keep rolling with Johnson with a matchup against Commanders who allow the fourth-most points to WRs.

Chris Godwin continues to pile up catches out of the slot regardless of his matchup. The NFL receptions leader now has five catches in every game this season. We should see another heavy workload in a potential shootout with Baltimore who allows the second-most points to WRs.

DeMario Douglas recorded his third game of nine targets over his last four games. He appears to be Maye’s favorite target operating out of the slot. He should be a top waiver add this week as he faces the Jaguars who allow the most points to WRs. Douglas has sneaky season-long value moving forward with the QB switch.

It’s hard to ignore what Jameson Williams is doing for Detroit. He has four double-digit scoring games in games with poor matchups on paper. He’s increased his value as a WR2 and has lowered Amon-Ra St. Brown to WR2 in the process. Both Lions WRs have a great matchup against Minnesota in Week 7.

Tight End

  • Player: Evan Engram
  • Game: at Chicago in London
  • Stats: 10 receptions, 102 receiving yards, 10 targets

In just his second game of the season, Engram quickly returned to Trevor Lawrence’s favorite target. This what somewhat surprising considering the Bears allow the eighth-fewest points to TEs this season. Engram will maintain his TE1 status as long as he stays healthy based on the target share within the Jaguars offense. He has a favorable upcoming schedule, so if he is somehow floating in your league, go get him now.

Notables:

Dalton Schultz drew an uptick with eight targets with Collins out. However, he didn’t do much with him and dropped a TD. If he continues to see the targets, he’ll be useful in the TE wasteland.

Tucker Kraft’s role was relegated with the return of the Packers’ WRs. We still like Kraft in this offense, but might be best to temper expectations. Next week he faces the Texans who allow the fourth-fewest points to TEs.

Kyle Pitts turned in a productive afternoon against the Panthers putrid pass defense. He quietly has back-to-back games over 70 yards. He has another good matchup against the Seahawks who allow the sixth-most points to TEs.

I am starting to be concerned about Sam LaPorta. Outside of one trick play in Dallas, LaPorta saw no other targets. The Vikings allow the seventh-most points to TEs and if he’s not involved, it might be time to consider sitting him.

Bye Week Update

  • Week 6 Byes include the Bears and Cowboys. Adjust your lineups accordingly!

🚨 Red Zone TD Scoring 🚨

  • Baltimore and Houston lead the NFL at 75%. Rounding out the top 10 are New Orleans (71%), Chicago (71%), Minnesota (68%), Las Vegas (68%), Cleveland (67%), Buffalo (67%),  Tampa Bay (67%) and Cincinnati (65%).
  • The bottom five teams with Red Zone TD Scoring Percentages are New England (36%), Miami (36%), Dallas (38%), Kansas City (39%) and LA Chargers (42%).

What’s up man? Gotta long 2 part PPR question for you. First is would you drop Freiermuth and add Evan Engram? Pat has been steady but never gonna go off. I also have Hockenson coming back soon.
Second question is would you add Christian Watson? My Wr’s are Chase, Nabers, Aiyuk, JSN and Jamo Williams. I start Aiyuk each week but think I’m done doing that for a while. So who would you drop for him? Thanks man.

      Welcome back!

I would add Engram. TLaw will continue to pepper him with targets.

I liked Watson at the beginning of the year and think he could have big second half.

As for your team, I don’t see a pathway for him on your squad. Any other drops?

Thanks man. Team is.. Stroud, TLaw
        Chase,Nabers,Aiyuk,JSN,Jamo Williams
        Gibbs,Ken Walker, Chase Brown Bucky
        Freiermouth, Hockenson.
So I have the second waiver claim. Who would you go for first? Watson or Engram. Both will be added no question. So only gonna get one. Thanks man.

I would prioritize Engram since he will be an immediate starter. Watson is situational/matchup based starter unless Reeds injury is far worse than we know.

Who is the better whoever add between Juju and Demario ROS?

Diggs Swift and Engram for Amon Ra and Addison. Which side do you like?

This trade is dependency on each teams’ roster construction. However I prefer the Diggs/Swift/Engram side. Those are three weekly starters. It’s possible Amon Ra gets more opportunity if the Lions defense isn’t as good without Hutch.

Thanks. One more for you. Would you trade McLaurin and either Chase Brown or Dowdle for Jamarr Chase? Chase owner is 0-5 and needs a change.

        Roster:
        Love
        Breece
        Kyren
        C Brown
        Dowdle
        Tracy
        Nabers
        Deebo
        McLaurin
        Kupp
        C Watson
        Doubs

I wouldn’t make the move. I think you have the right amount of depth for upcoming bye weeks and any unseen injuries that may pop up.
