We had some big hits in Week 13. The Tua/Tyreek stack did produce 4 TD’s between them and Tyreek was WR3 on the main slate. Brock Purdy was QB1, James Conner was RB3, Deebo was WR1, LaPorta was TE1, and the Falcons were D/ST1. We did miss on Zack Moss, but luckily, so did everyone else, as he was a heavily owned player in all formats.

We have reached Week 14, the last week of the 2023 Fantasy Football regular season! For those of you who are now turning to DFS because you have been eliminated from the playoffs in season long, sorry to hear that, and welcome! Hopefully, DFS will satisfy the fantasy football itch till next year. This week, I wouldn’t say I like paying up at QB, and I believe I’m going to be paying down at the position. If you want to use Josh Allen, fine, otherwise pay under $7K at the position. I think the RB position and TE positions are deep this week. The WR position is a little bit weak for the main slate without Tyreek Hill, AJ Brown, and CeeDee Lamb.
Week 14, let’s get to it!
QB
Justin Fields $6800 (vs. DET) – Justin Fields put up a great performance in Week 11 in Detroit in his first game back from injury. The Lions’ defense has been sputtering of late and must now travel to Chicago for a road. The Bears are coming off their bye, so I really like Fields this week.
Josh Dobbs $5900 (@ LV) – Josh Dobbs survived the bye and is expected to start Week 14. He also gets Justin Jefferson back this week. This will be Dobbs’ first game for the Vikings with Jefferson, Hockenson, and Addison at his disposal. The Raiders are also a good matchup.
Russell Wilson $5800 (@ LAC) – Let Russ cook! Russ gets the Chargers defense which isn’t very good as they’re ranked 28th vs QBs.
Gardner Minshew $5400 (@ CIN) – The Bengals defense gave up a big performance to Trevor Lawrence on MNF. Jake Browning also showed he could put up points in the right matchup, so this game has sneaky shootout potential.
Jake Browning $5200 (vs. IND) – Jake Browning shined on the primetime stage in Week 13. He was 32/37 for 354 yards and a TD with 2/22/1 on the ground as well. Paying this far down for Browning will allow us to load up at the other skill positions.
RB
Alvin Kamara $8200 (vs. CAR) – Start your RBs vs the Carolina Panthers has been a common theme in 2023. Alvin Kamara gets the Panthers at home.
Contrarian/GPP Austin Ekeler $7600 (vs. DEN) – I know, I know. It’s been really bad for Ekeler this year. And Brandon Staley is saying there will be competition for carries. Is he trying to motivate Ekeler or telling the truth? Either way, this is a very good matchup for Ekeler, so if he were ever going to have a bounce-back game, this is the matchup to do it. Ownership should be low too.
David Montgomery $6400 (@ CHI) – Monty’s return to Chicago. He scored the game-winning TD against the Bears in Week 11. If you’re looking for a mid-priced RB, who is guaranteed to get you 50+ yards and a TD, use Monty.
**If TB’s linebackers are out again, use Bijan Robinson $6500 (vs. TB)**
Joe Mixon $6100 (vs. IND) – Joe Mixon had 25 touches MNF and added two TDs as well. The Colts were a slumpbuster for Derrick Henry last week, so a hot Mixon should be able to find success, too.
Jerome Ford $5500 (vs. JAX) – Kareem Hunt isn’t practicing right now with a groin injury. Should he miss Week 14, fire up Jerome Ford.
Keaton Mitchell $4900 (vs. LAR) – Rookies generally become more integrated during their bye weeks. Unfortunately, the Ravens’ bye was so late in the season, but I look for them to utilize Mitchell more out of the bye. He’s a good, cheap option with a high ceiling, and he doesn’t need a lot of touches to reach his ceiling.
If Pacheco is out Jerrick McKinnon $4800 Clyde Edwards-Helaire $4200 (vs. BUF)
WR
Keenan Allen $8600 (vs. DEN) – Keenan Allen gets to face the Broncos defense that just gave up 9/191/1 to Nico Collins in Week 13. I realize they don’t necessarily line up in the same spot, but Keenan Allen should still avoid Patrick Surtain.
Amon-Ra St. Brown $8200 (@ CHI) – ARSB put up 21.7 in their Week 11 matchup. This is an outdoor game where weather could be a factor, so be sure to check the weather report. But I do want an alpha WR1 in my lineup.
Contrarian/GPP Play: Justin Jefferson $8500 (@ LV) – If I’m in a tournament setting, I may plug Jefferson in. Many may take a wait-and-see approach, which could suppress his ownership.
Ja’Marr Chase $7600 (vs. IND) – Rare to get an alpha WR1 under 8K. We just saw that he is still capable of producing with Browning at QB.
DK Metcalf $6700 (@ SF) – DK, fresh off his 6/134/3 vs. the Cowboys in Week 13, gets the 49ers in Week 14. The 49ers have a solid defense, but their secondary is their weakness. You also have to figure the Seahawks will need to throw.
Courtland Sutton $6100 (@ LAC) – All Sutton seems to do in 2023 is score TDs. Now he gets the Chargers secondary.
Zay Flowers $5700 (vs. LAR) – Same as Keaton Mitchell. Rookies get more involved after the bye, and Flowers is going to be the primary option in the passing game.
Rashee Rice $5400 (vs. BUF) – The Chiefs are going to need to score points to keep pace with the Bills. Rice has been rising to become the top passing game option behind Kelce.
If Joe Flacco starts, Elijah Moore $4500 (vs. JAX)
Jaxon Smith-Njigba $4100 (@ SF) – JSN seems to have supplanted Lockett as the second option in the passing game. JSN went 7/62/0 on 11 targets vs. the Cowboys in Week 13. He also had a very questionable 30-yard TD called back, so it could’ve been an 8/92/1 line.
Dart Throws/Lineup Fillers/GPP: Khalil Shakir $3900 (@ KC), Jonathan Mingo $3500 (@ NO), Parker Washington $3000 (@ CLE), Xavier Gipson $3100 (vs. HOU)
TE
TJ Hockenson $6000 (@ LV) – The Raiders are middle of the pack against the position, but, Dobbs has shown a propensity to target his TEs. I also think Jefferson returning helps free up Hockenson as Jefferson will require the attention of the defense.
Dalton Schultz $5000 or Brevin Jordan $3100 (@ NYJ) – If Schultz is out, I like starting Jordan again.
Kyle Pitts $3700 (vs. TB) – If the LBs are out, Pitts has a great matchup. You could probably use him regardless, as he’s coming off an eight-target game against the Jets.
Isaiah Likely $3500 (vs. LAR) – The Rams allowed a TD to Harrison Bryant last week and rank 29th vs. TEs.
Gerald Everett $3400 (vs. DEN) – The Broncos are ranked 31st vs. TEs.
Tyler Conklin $3000 (vs. HOU) – I never thought I’d actually be speaking about Zach Wilson returning as a positive, but here we are. Conklin is operating as Wilson’s secondary option behind Garrett Wilson amongst the pass catchers.
D/ST
Saints $3900 (vs. CAR) – The Saints get Bryce Young at home.
Ravens $3300 (vs. LAR) – The Rams are a west coast traveling to the east coast to face the Ravens coming off their bye.
If Lawrence is out, Browns $3000 (vs. JAX) – The Browns defense has struggled without Denzel Ward, but if Lawrence is out, they get CJ Beathard.
Broncos $2800 (@ LAC) – The Chargers offense has struggled of late and the Broncos defense has been playing pretty well.
