What are you ranking? Everything! You get a ranking, you get a ranking, everybody gets a ranking! You’ll find my Standard, Half-PPR, and PPR rankings below.

What are my rankings bona fidas? Well, there’s finishing in the FantasyPros Top-10 Draft Accuracy (7th Place) in 2017, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy (23rd Place) in 2017, Top-5 Draft Accuracy (3rd place) in 2016, Top-10 Weekly Accuracy (10th Place) in 2016, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy in 2015 (21st Place) and on average we’ve finished in the Top-10 Draft Accuracy (9th Overall) and the Top-20 Weekly Accuracy (18th Overall) for the past four years and finished 30th overall for our Draft Rankings with a 32nd overall finish in Weekly just last season. And this is out of over 100+ industry sites and experts year-after-year. I’d like to think we’re pretty good at this stuff…

What does the word bona fidas mean? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, bo·na fi·des ˌbō-nə-ˈfī-ˌdēz , ÷ˈbō-nə-ˌfīdz means 1 : good faith : sincerity, 2 : the fact of being genuine —often plural in construction, 3 : evidence of one’s good faith or genuineness —often plural in construction, 4 : evidence of one’s qualifications or achievements —often plural in construction. On a separate note, I think it would make a great name for a cat.

What’s my ranking process? I’ve actually written about this in the past, and instead of working hard for new and enlightening content, I have chosen the more efficient (lazy, ahem) method and dropping in a link to that post here. Honestly, my process hasn’t changed much at all (the ole “don’t fix what ain’t broke” proverb comes to mind) and so my “A Day in the Life of a Fantasy Football Ranker” story still remains relevant to this day. (The TL;DR is: I’m lazy as fudge. Well, I mean the other “f” word, but I’m hungry.)

How should I use your rankings? The same way your mother does. Which actually makes no sense. (Unless your mother is in the running to always finish top-3 in your Fantasy Football league. And if that’s the case, say hello to her for me.)

I’m not going to sugarcoat it, this team is an abomination. While the names on the jerseys indicate point scoring should be better, there is no excuse for being 150 points behind 7th place out of 8 teams. THERE’S ONLY 113 POINTS BETWEEN 7TH AND 1ST. Truly a special bunch, I haven’t seen this level of ineptitude since my son’s 3rd grade rendition of Macbeth. And the ending is projecting to be at least as tragic.

There really isn’t a trade to make as virtually no one on this team is playing very well, so any move would be selling low and not netting a return that is going to boost KJ up the standings. Being this far down the totem pole, you have little leverage in a redraft league. The players that should produce just need to start breaking out.

I do think that DeAndre Hopkins gets right this week. I expect Watson to force feed him against the Chiefs like he did Fuller last week. At RB, Le’Veon Bell has been seeing all the work but the Jets’ offense has been grounded since losing Sam Darnold to a spin-the-bottle mishap. LVB should see a bump in production, but I don’t know if it will be enough to pry this team from the dank crypt it currently resides in. TE continues to be a dead zone but there is surprisingly some hope on the wire.

While there were some trouble spots, Week 5 was generally pretty quiet for most teams in the NFL…. except for one in particular, who are missing a bunch of offensive stars before their Thursday Night Football clash. Good thing they’re facing the… *checks notes* New England Patriots and their tough defense. That should be fun! Let’s see if we can accentuate any positives while addressing the rest of the league.

Let’s talk about some of the players who landed on the injury report this week.

Chris Godwin was the industry sweetheart coming into the 2019 season. He was on approximately 99% of the industries undervalued/sleeper lists for his utilization in Bruce Arians “Big Slot” role. His draft day price rose to a 4/5th round regular by opening week. Normally, when that much value is sucked out of a rising draft stock it is arguably better to simply avoid for the price. Luckily, I remained neutral, because after 5 weeks it is evident that Chris Godwin is an elite wide receiver in this role. He is the current WR1 in both standard and PPR formats. He is top 12 in targets and 8th in Air Yards. As noted last week the vital component of this passing game for fantasy value is they push the ball downfield, increasing the value of a target, and compress the target share between two elite players. Godwin is an extremely talented player in terms of metrics and is in the perfect spot to continue to provide WR1 value for the rest of the season.

Well, we are through five weeks of the NFL season and some things are clear: The Redskins stink, the Jets stink, and the Browns stink. Yeah, the last one is the most surprising to me also. These are also some players to really be concerned about. Stefon Diggs is a sell, Baker Mayfield is a drop, and Darren Waller? Well, he might be a huge buy. If you can. But let’s take a look at a few players who you should cash out on and who you should still try to get for 50 cents on the dollar.

While Donkey Teeth is working on his downward dog, or maybe that’s downward donkey for him? I digress; Rudy Gamble stops by to talk about his projection system. B_Don asks him about some of the challenges and changes that he’s made. Rudy also gets grilled on some of his week 5 projections and other fantasy football goodness.

Check out the show and see if Rudy is adjusting Mahomes or Kyler. How high can Rudy’s Chubb go? Check it out on this week’s Razzball Football Podcast!

Thank you all for the well wishes for my family yesterday. Even though we may never have a beer together, we work things out during the football season for your fantasy teams on a daily basis so we do share some sort of bond. Anyways, life is pretty much back to normal.

We had a lot of big performances last week and some of those I was higher than the consensus. D.J. Chark, Michael Gallup, Will Fuller were a few of those names that I was higher on. Unfortunately, there are always the misses. Austin Ekeler didn’t get in the endzone. I was too high of Jacoby Brissett, too low on Russell Wilson. And of course, I was too high on Baker Mayfield. Rudy and myself finished back to back at 87th and 88th last week. We must begin to look forward and grab a top 10 finish.

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to another rousing rendition of Hit it or Quit it. Sorry I have been AWOL the past two weeks, but the Feds were catching up to me and I had to give them the slip and head off the grid for a while. It is all good. I found some other patsy to take the fall. Men can be so gullible sometimes. How was your Week 5? Mine was sweet. Coming off a horrifically embarrassing Week 4, my Week 5 was one for the record books. The poor bastards I played this week never knew what hit them. Much like Mason Rudolph. I am sure that dude saw his dead grandmother AND Santa after that hit. Being a woman in this world of male-dominated fantasy virgins is a bit complex sometimes, and sure, there have been leagues I have not been invited back to because I won, but what would you expect from a Fantasy Goddess such as myself? Men can have such fragile egos sometimes, yet you all keep coming back to me week after week for me to lay down my wisdom, so you too, can dominate your leagues. I thank you for that.

I am not going to be the umpteenth fantasy football blogger to use some combination of Lil Nas X, horses and Michael Gallup. So while he’s the dude in the picture and the title, I’m just not going to do it. Too easy. I can just imagine the king of titles, our Rudy Gamble, just shaking his head reading a title like “The Horses in the back are Gallup’ing all the way home” or Matte black hat wearing Cowboy Michael Gallup’ing into your lineups this weekend” or Lil Nas X or Michael Gallup, who’s got their horses in the back?” So instead let’s through it back to the original Galloping Ghost, Red Grange. What a badass nickname and take a look at the guy:
