    Hey guys, I’ve got a few questions I’ve been puzzling over and am having a hard time coming to an answer on, so any input would be totes awesome.

    1. I have Cam Newton in a league and have been feeling pretty mediocre about that. It’s a 10-team league, but a lot of teams are keeping 2 QBs on their roster for shiggles (not my strategy, but hey). Most of the waiver options are mediocre, but RGIII is sitting there. He ranks higher this week–you like him ROS at this point over Cam?

    2. I dropped my K in a PPR league to secure Martavis Bryant. Will need to remedy that sooner or later. Who is my drop? Andre Johnson, Darren Sproles, or the loser between similarly-ranked (but redundant) Rothlisberger or Stafford. (Picked up Rothlisberger for bye-week fill-in and haven’t had the heart to figure out which is better ROS).

    As always, you peeps are beautiful and I wish you all sorts of happiness.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @The Theory: 1. I’d like to think Cam will get healthy, but I’d be fine streaming in a 10-team. 2. I’d probably drop Big Ben there.

      • The Theory says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Thanks!

  2. Nimrod says:
    (link)

    PPR league. Who gets more points J. Landry or J. Hill. I’m leaning Hill.

  3. Dom B says:

    SEA D OR CHARGERS D FOR WEEK 11

    • Dom B says:
      (link)

      @Dom B: @Dom B: Seattle

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Dom B: Seattle.

  4. Zandy says:
    (link)

    So my standard league is must win out at this point
    Would you flex mason over Michael Floyd or try to trade mason for mike Evans?
    Would you also be trading Russell and gray/sims for rg3 even if romo was on bye?

    Russell
    Rb: Ingram mck
    Wr: Andrekj Wallace
    Flex?
    Mychal
    Bench mason sims gray mike Floyd wright Britt Hawkins romo Cameron

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: aside from Evans guys I could prob get for some of my bench guys are like a gray for sanu? Something cheaper than an evans

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: I’d try to trade for Evans. No, I wouldn’t on the Russell one.

  5. Poo Poo Platter says:
    (link)

    Brandin Cooks keeps having terrible games right after his good ones I’m scared he’ll have one of his bad days this week but at least they’re at home. I was thinking of benching him for Jordan Mathews (PPR) but I won’t.

    And speaking of Mathews, what do you think his value is ROS in a PPR?

    Thanks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Poo Poo Platter: I think Mathews will be a top-20 RB ROS. And I’d stick with Cooks there.

  6. Nick says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay, should I drop San Diego for Cleveland? I asked this at the beginning of the week and I see you have ranked your Chargers 9 & the Browns ranked 6. Should I make the quick swap? Are not as many Charger defenders coming back from injury than expected?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Nick: I like the Chargers a bit more, but I’m trying really hard to keep my bias out of the rankings. I like the personnel coming back, but the Raiders always play the Chargers pretty tough.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Nick: Just to follow up, I think the gap between them is so small, I don’t think it matters.

  7. James says:
    (link)

    I got a couple “who to start” situations.

    Pick 2 of Matthews, Lacey, D Robinson, or CJ Anderson.

    Pick 1 of Larry Donnell or Kyle Rudolph

    Thanks!

    • Nick says:
      (link)

      @James: Donnell

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @James: Lacy, Robinson and Donnell.

  8. Brett says:
    (link)

    Jay,

    Would you trade CJ Anderson and Garcon for Brandon Marshall in a 12 team PPR league?

    My line up would be:
    QB Rivers
    RB Vereen
    RB Jennings
    RB/WR Marshall
    WR Cobb
    WR Nelson
    TE Olsen
    D Seattle
    K Houch
    Bench: Andre Williams Russell Wilson, Hyde, Micheal, Hillman, Landry and a pick up from the trade though not much is out there.

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Brett: Yeah, I’m fine with that trade.

  9. TONE DEF says:
    (link)

    I’m looking ahead for the playoffs… Are the Titans worth a stash? It looks like they have the juiciest fantasy playoff schedule… But are they even worth the gamble, since they ARE the Titans?

    Wk 14 vs Giants
    Wk 15 vs Jets
    Wk 16 @ Jags

    • TONE DEF says:
      (link)

      @TONE DEF:

      There’s also the Giants:

      Wk14 @ Titans
      Wk15 vs Skins
      Wk16 @ Rams

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

        @TONE DEF: It’s okay… but the Giants kinda scare me as well.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @TONE DEF: Tough to say, since I could actually see them losing to both the Giants and Jets.

  10. Adam says:
    (link)

    Having difficulty picking WRs and Flex this week – interested in your guys thoughts. Which group would give me highest upside, which group would be highest floor?

    Need 2WR and 1 Flex –
    WR: Alshon Jeffery, DeAndre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, Julian Edelman
    RB: Ryan Mathews

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Adam: Jeffery, Watkins, Mathews.

  11. kexin says:
    (link)

    Non ppr
    Wr: Lafell or tate
    Flex: Jordan Matthews or vereen or Ryan matthews

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @kexin: Tate and Mathews.

  12. Eric says:
    (link)

    Hi Jay,

    Non-PPR:
    Am I starting Lamar Miller tonight and risking him sharing time? Or should I bench him and start Joique @Ari on Sunday?

    Thanks in advance!

    • CL says:
      (link)

      @Eric: Miller is firmly on my bench this week. Even outside of any injury, Buffalo is 3rd best against RBs. Doesn’t pass the sniff test to start Miller.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Eric: I wouldn’t. Bench him.

  13. ryanoger says:
    (link)

    Whose my flex: Jordan Matthews, Keenan, Kelce, Sims

    Gut says Jordan, thoughts?

    thanks jay!

    • ryanoger says:
      (link)

      @ryanoger:

      sorry, .5 PPR

  14. Teddy Heater says:
    (link)

    Usually I don’t have issues choosing a flex as I drafted Cruz, Stacy, C Johnson, Martin & (Mathews), but this week I’m at a stand still, non PPR Standard scoring

    Hill @ NO
    C Anderson @ Stl
    Evans @Was
    Garcon v TB
    Sims @Was

      • Teddy Heater says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Thanks brotha, Big Ben or go all in with RG3?

  15. Clint says:
    (link)

    So roll with Cobb (vs Phil) over Alf (vs TB) and/or Hilton (vs NE) at a ppr flex? Sounds good to me. Here’s hoping I seal up the top playoff seed with a win over the #3 guy then. Thanks for the advice that’s gotten me here Jay!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Clint: Any time Clint, and good luck!

  16. CL says:
    (link)

    Jay: 1 pt PPR, which 3 am I starting?

    Michaeal Floyd, John Brown (I can’t start both AZ WRs after Palmer is out, can I?!), Britt, and Garcon.

    Right now, John Brown is odd man out.

    This is my red-headed step child of a team at 4-6, 8th place of 12. I’ve currently got an offer out there to move Ryan Matthews & Floyd for Jordan Matthews & Olsen.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @CL: I feel the same with Brown there. And I’d hold for now.

      • CL says:
        (link)

        @Jay: thanks. I ended up canceling trade offer with news of andy Reid saying Kelse was getting more lovin’

  17. Barker says:
    (link)

    12 team ppr

    Qb newton wr allen wayne rb ellington lacy te bennett flex bradshaw
    K vinatieri def SD
    Bn gordon crabtree mason mathews denard

    Trades i offered
    Ellington for julio
    Bradshaw crabtree newton for watkins brady
    Bradshaw allen for marshall
    Pipe dream specials
    Bradshaw allen ellington for calvin murray
    Bradshaw crabtree mathews for murray wright

    If none of these get anywhere can i drop crabtree to pick up eli manning in advance of cams week 12 bye and gordon coming back ?

    • Barker says:
      (link)

      @Barker: qbs also available mccown bridgewater orton carr hill so not much there which is why id like to get manning now

      Also garcon was dropped is it worth a shot to get him on waivers and who to drop wayne or mason — i probably wont get him because i am 11 in waiver order but i may get lucky

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Barker: I don’t like give up Allen, but they’re all in the realm. I def think Crabtree is the one to off load, for sure.

  18. STL says:
    (link)

    Important week this week for me at 5-5. PPR

    FLEX: OBJ or Garcon? Feeling like RG3 is going to feed Garcon the ball often this week.

    QB: Sanchez, Dalton, Bridgewater, and McCown are all options. I know Sanchez is the best QB here, but I have a bad feeling about his matchup at Green Bay. What are your thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @STL: It’s a fair point, but I still like OBJ going in.

  19. Barker says:
    (link)

    10 team 1/2 ppr

    Qb newton wr calvin cobb evans rb lacy west te olsen flex p manning
    K suisham def detroit
    Bn gordon fitz tate ivory murray reed

    Offered ivory fitz for romo
    If that doesnt work which it shouldnt
    Drop fitz or tate or ivory for sims or orton or mccown (need cam bye filler) or bridgewater

    I really want to drop fitz or tate for sims and maybe both to get a qb as well
    Seeing as tate is hot garbage and fitz should not be necessary for ROS

    WWJD

    • Barker says:
      (link)

      @Barker: other qbs available bortles bridgewater carr mettenberger hill stanton mallet

      Orton vs nyj and mccown @ chi which do you like for week 12

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Barker: If he needs some guys, I could see it working. I would drop Tate for Sims and Fitz for McCown… though I do agree, I’d still be hesitant in dropping Fitz.

  20. pound sand says:
    (link)

    Harvin or J Matthews (ROS after this week as Harvin is off)
    No PPR
    Thanks

  21. Mike says:
    (link)

    If Fred Jackson does not play tonight….would u start bryce brown over. McKinnon??
    Standard league
    Thx!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Mike: I wouldn’t, no.

  22. Passive Aggressive says:
    (link)

    Browns are listed in your rankings higher than the Chargers but ECR seems to love the Bolts this week at home off the bye vs. OAK. I’m a Bolts fan so my judgment is probably clouded. Chargers also appear to be getting Attaochu, Te’o and probably Ingram back on defense. On the flipside, Carr torched them last game, and the Browns have been mostly good, plus Arian Foster is a little banged up. How confident are you in CLE being ranked higher than SDG this week? Or is it a coinflip?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Passive Aggressive: I like SD, and I think it’s a coin flip, but the Raiders always play them well.

  23. Joe says:
    (link)

    ROS in a PPR league: Rainey or Sims?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Joe: Sims.

  24. lahey says:
    (link)

    do you think montee ball will regain his value?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @lahey: Not really.

  25. abe says:
    (link)

    i’m on the cusp of a playoff spot and have lost my qbs (foles + palmer) so i’m looking to replace. stream mccown/eli/carr/alex smith ROS or trade mark ingram and andre holmes for RG3, alshon jeffery and isaiah crowell? trade would leave me a little thin at rb but my starting lineup would remain the same – i would essentially just be exchanging ingram for jeffery. ingram looking good but jeffery i feel is poised for a monster season finish — how do you see their ROS values and would you do that trade? i’m also totally not sold that RG3 is any better than eli at this point. thanks man

    • abe says:
      (link)

      @abe: 14 team non ppr

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @abe: Probably Eli or McCown, but I would hold on that trade.

  26. Charles says:
    (link)

    Jay I just read that Fred Jackson might sit tonight. He’s currently in my flex. If he’s active should I keep him in there? My other options are Jonas Gray or Davante Adams.

    Non-PPR.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Charles: I doubt he starts at this point. Probably Gray.

  27. jay Wil475 says:
    (link)

    hey Jay! need a week 11 DEF – SD vs Oak or KC vs Sea (possible bad weather in KC?) ??

    • jay Wil475 says:
      (link)

      @jay Wil475: just feel like OAK never gives up any sacks…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @jay Wil475: I like SD there, if it’s KC and not Sea.

  28. Tedd says:
    (link)

    Hey man jay, I stream D’s & added chargers D but someone dropped steelers D, would you drop chargers for steelers? Packers were dropped too & Browns are also available too

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Tedd: I think they’re close enough where it doesn’t matter, but I do like Steelers a tad bit more.

  29. Zandy says:
    (link)

    in the must win stanrdard league, if fjax is out would you rather flex bryce brown over mike floyd? or rather flex mason than either of those

    thanks man

    • Nick says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: Mason, rough flex unless it’s a deep league..

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: Go Mason. I don’t think Jackson starts tonight.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

        @Jay: right so the question is Bryce over Mason/Floyd? or are you saying even with Fjax out, do NOT flex Bryce

        Thanks man

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Zandy: Sorry, just saw this, but yeah, I didn’t want anything to do with those RB’s last night.

  30. Hans says:
    (link)

    Drop hillman for sims?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Hans: Sure.

  31. Khen says:
    (link)

    I’m starting R. Matthews over T. West at my flex position, even though you have west ranked higher on your list do you see it as a coin flip between the two? What would be the reason to trust the browns running back committee?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Khen: I see Mathews getting only 10-15 touches in his first game back. But it’s a coin flip, yeah.

  32. booya says:
    (link)

    Dez or Jordy ROS?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @booya: Dez. But it’s essentially a tie.

  33. goodfold2 says:
    (link)

    dynasty. 20 team. deep benches. half PPR. start 1 QB/ 1 RB/ 2 WR/ 1 TE/ 1 regular flex (WR/RB/TE)/ 1 kicker/ 11 IDP starters. I’m WAS. also 10 return yards per pt.
    RG3/Mccoy
    Morris/Peterson/Helu/Taliaferro/Michael/Sims
    D-Jax/Garcon/Roberts/M.Lee/T.Austin
    Reed/Donnell/ASJ
    i got an offer for Kearse (SEA) and two 6th rounders (worth about nothing) for my Donnell? Since Sims got healthy i only have room for 2 IDP backups. I’m thinking i should be trading Donnell and a RB for a better WR (also to have room for another IDP backup, if needed). should i
    1. take offer as is
    2. try to get cruz for donnell and a RB (which one, Sims maybe? Taliaferro)
    3. keep donnell and reed and just drop ASJ for IDP room?
    bottling up this RB value makes my team much more valuable, but much less versatile in the short term. the owner of Kearse, for instance has bascially charles, and no other valid RB’s at all.

  34. Daniel Grossmann says:
    (link)

    Risk it with Lamar tonight or roll with Charles Simms or Rueben Randle?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Daniel Grossmann: Maybe Sims. I might lower Lamar based on health.

  35. SMLV1 says:
    (link)

    Why do you like Miami and Arizona DEF over Pittsburgh DEF this week?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @SMLV1: Matchups.

  36. Rick Dempsey says:
    (link)

    I have two good TE’s (G. Olsen and D. Allen) one of which I want to trade away for a quality WR. which one would you trade and for whom? Thnx!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Rick Dempsey: Allen, but I doubt you can get anything good. Olsen should get you tier 3 or 4… maybe.

  37. SMLV1 says:
    (link)

    If Fasano sits, how high does Kelce move up in the rankings?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @SMLV1: A bit more, but I wasn’t a huge Fasano guy to begin with. They’ll be updated Saturday night.

  38. Don Majkowski says:
    (link)

    With Fragile Fred doubtful…if he sits…Dixon or Sproles in PPR

  39. Zandy says:
    (link)

    not sure if you misread mine, the question was flex bryce or mason? given no fjax

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: Flex Mason.

  40. Dom B says:

      @Dom B: Team 2, but it’s close.

  42. Jim K. says:
    (link)

    Why so high on Cooks? What do you like about his matchup? Don’t trust Graham to be 100%?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Jim K.: I like the matchup, yes, and to be fair, I think I’m just +2 there vs. ECR.

  43. Dom B says:
    (link)

    Dang I have team 1

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Dom B: It’s still close for me.

  44. Marc C. says:
    (link)

    Need some QB “streaming” advice this week. So I have Russell Wilson as my QB1 but not so confident he can use his legs this week to get Fantasy points on the Chiefs in Arrowhead. So I’m thinking of streaming Bridgewater. And also, trying to decide between Kyle Rudolph or Larry Donnell. Rudolph has the horrid TE defending Bears this week….And should I stream Kai Forbath over Mason Crosby this week since Forbath is going up against the Bucs who are givin’ up a good amount of FGs these days?

    My team looks like this:

    QB: Wilson (or) Bridgewater
    RB: Mark Ingram
    RB: Eddie Lacy
    WR: Emmanuel Sanders
    WR: Randall Cobb
    TE: Kyle Rudolph (or) Larry Donnell
    Flex: AJ Green
    K: Mason Crosby (or) Kai Forbath

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Marc C.: I’d go Wilson and Donnell, but I do like that Rudolph matchup. Double check the rankings Sunday. I think the Bucs have been giving up more touchdowns… but I’m fine with Forbath though.

      • Marc C. says:

        @Jay:

        Thanks Jay! I’m still strugglin’ on whether to start Wilson just because he’s relying too much on his legs these days than goin’ to the air…And in Arrowhead, that could be a disaster. And I’m thinkin’ with Teddy, he’s got Rudolph back so he’s got a reliable safety valve that has been a Red Zone beast in the past (and thinkin’ about Norv and his magic he does with TEs) so he’s got an extra weapon to play with…Although, Teddy’s risk is the weather conditions as well….ahhh…so is the life of fantasy football decisions! LOL! Any thoughts on why Wilson over Teddy?

    Hey Jay, it appears its going to be a 60/40 split for Jennings this Sunday…do you stick with him in non-ppr over my bench options including Matthews (good matchup), and K Allen, Sanu, A Johnson are also possible as I could slide them into flex (McKinnon is in my flex now but I can move him to RB2 if you think we should take a wait and see approach with Jennings)…

    who do you pick for RB2 & flex basically? (set now with Jennings RB2 & McKinnon Flex)

      @Nick: I’d go Mck with Allen but double check my updated rankings on Sunday. They are all pretty close.

    Hey Jay,

    Only one week before I finally get Josh Gordon back. For Week 11, however, would you start Tre Mason, Cordarrelle Patterson, or Mychal Rivera in your FLEX spot?

    Thanks!

      @Steve: Mason.

    His Team

    What would you do to have the best chance to win? Trade deadline is tmw, would you go all out trying to trade to upgrade my starters with your this week rankings as a guide? (basically gut the bench to get a better flex for this week) Or stick and pray?

      @Zandy: if you say, gut the bench and go all in for a better flex – who are a few high upside guys youd target that you think i could get for whats basically a mason & sims combo package? In addition to flex upgrade, you still wouldnt by sending Wilson and something for RG3?

      @Zandy: I don’t think you have to blow anything up. I like the team, but the ceiling is somewhat limited. I’m personally going with Mason and praying.

    dynasty. 20 team. deep benches. half PPR. start 1 QB/ 1 RB/ 2 WR/ 1 TE/ 1 regular flex (WR/RB/TE)/ 1 kicker/ 11 IDP starters. I’m WAS. also 10 return yards per pt.
    RG3/Mccoy
    Morris/Peterson/Helu/Taliaferro/Michael/Sims
    D-Jax/Garcon/Roberts/M.Lee/T.Austin
    Reed/Donnell/ASJ
    i got an offer for Kearse (SEA) and two 6th rounders (worth about nothing) for my Donnell? Since Sims got healthy i only have room for 2 IDP backups. I’m thinking i should be trading Donnell and a RB for a better WR (also to have room for another IDP backup, if needed). should i
    1. take offer as is
    2. try to get cruz for donnell and a RB (which one, Sims maybe? Taliaferro)
    3. keep donnell and reed and just drop ASJ for IDP room?

      @goodfold2: I’d hold. I like Donnell.

        @Jay: that owner is a joke, he “offered” this one
        p.parker/cruz/kearse for donnell and peterson!

    seems kinda amazing that after 10 weeks you’ve alternated each and every week with gaining then losing ground overall list of experts. not one two week (or longer) period where you’ve gone up twice or gone down twice

    Start Keenan Allen or Alfred Blue?

    Crowell starting for Cle. Would you flex him over K. Allen? Standard scoring. West was pretty high in the ranks when the assumption was him starting.
