  1. Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season says:
    (link)

guessing tamme is a better handcuff for JT this week? tamme seems awful, but certaily peyton is MUCH MUCH better than what RG3 has done to reed’s production, and even if reed doesn’t play, paul could easily get the same (or less?) production.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season: Tamme’s right outside the top-25 for me right now. I think RGIII just needs a little more time. But when you’re talking about TE’s outside the top-15, it’s okay to gamble.

  2. Blake says:

    thanks for the rankings!

10 team H2H pts league – which WR?

    D Thomas
    TY Hilton
    M Evans
    J Gordon

I cant believe I have been holding Gordon for so long and might not be able to play him!

      @Blake: Thomas. And no problem!

@Blake: probably the first three. It’s not crazy to hold on Gordon for one week.

  3. Random Dude says:

    Hill vs. Bernard… Coin flip?

    • Jay

      Jay says:

  6. Steve says:

    Hey Jay,

    Looking for some trade advice:

(12 team PPR keeper league. 8-3 record)

I’ve been offered Alshon Jeffery, Brandon LaFell, and Kenny Britt for Antonio Brown. I’m leaning toward saying no because I think it’s basically Jeffery for Brown, but what do you think? I’m OK this week despite Brown’s bye.

    Thanks, Jay!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve: Yeah, it’s a nice package if you need depth, but I’d rather have Brown.

  7. Bill says:
    (link)

Hey man! I stream defenses each week & I added Eagles this week when they take on Titans. I see your rankings for the Eagles, Colts, are very similar would you stick w/ philly or drop to add colts?

I have brady & he has a tough task vs detroit D drop a bench player to add romo?

    — although on the flip I thought brady would have a very tough time vs Broncos d but he had a great game, with detroit being good vs the run kinda like denver do you see an opposite game plane from last week; more throwing

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bill: I’d go with Philly, they are capable for big time plays.

my Kendall wright for his Jonas gray? we play 2 rb, 3 wr and 1 flex. ppr. basically a who’s better question.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@farcus: If you need a running back, sure, it’s a fair trade.

  10. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

Just received a trade offer. What are your thoughts?

    I get: Benjamin and L.Miller
    I give: Denard and Edelman

    Current roster:

    QB – Brady
    WR – Julio
    WR – Hilton
    WR – Matthews
    RB – Forte
    RB – Denard
    TE – Graham
    W/R – CJ Anderson
    Q/W/R/T – Ryan
    BN – Edelman
    BN – LaFell
    BN – Wallace
    BN – M.Bryant
    BN – Vereen
    BN – Sims

    0.5 PPR – 3 point bonus at 85 yards rec/100 yards rush – 6 point bonus at 135 yards rec/150 yards rush

    • Wilsonian says:
      (link)

@Wilsonian: he also said he would do Benjamin for Denard straight up. But not sure I want to be down an RB. I really like what he’s been doing lately, and not sure I could trust CJ Anderson or Vereen to be my RB2.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Wilsonian: Yeah, I’m fine with it. I think it upgrades your WR.

  11. Adam says:
    (link)

FYI – something isnt translating from RB Rankings to Flex Rankings. Denard Robinson is behind 6 RBs in the Flex Rankings that he is above in the RB Rankings. Not sure if there are other issues with other players – just noticed this one.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Adam: I think it’s because Denard is also ranked as a WR as well.

  12. Brian says:
    (link)

I thought I had things figured out this week before looking at your rankings. My plan was to flex Kenny Stills over Joni’s Grey and Gio Bernard due to matchups and the unknown usage of Gio . I really like the Stills matchup on Monday night could I persuade you into changing your mind and moving Stills up your rankings ? Lol thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: Haha, I’ll think about it!

  13. Robert says:
    (link)

Hey Jay – Does Tate going to Minny impact your ranking of McKinnon?

Debating McKinnon versus Mathews for flex. I was thinking McKinnon, but have no idea how Tate will impact the workload.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Robert: Yeah, I’m going to revisit that decision in a few days when I see what the coaches are saying, how I see the match-up develops. That’s to say, I’m not quite sure yet. I think Mathews as the flex is a fine option.

  14. Zandy says:
    (link)

hey jay – can you just walk me through your thought process on CJ anderson ROS? is he just one big sell high? are you concerned for when hillman or ball come back? thanks just looking for color

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

sorry i underestimated your ability to respond to old posts haha

if you were selling high on CJ – whats the target return? an ODB, Watkins, TWill, Keenan type?

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Zandy: Oh, no problem, sometimes I miss a few, so I always encourage to keep asking in the new thread. Yeah, I think those are all fair targets. I’d probably want Allen, Watkins, and ODB over Twill though.

  15. BTDRNKS says:
    (link)

Why doesnt anyone have any love for Hill even though he should still get the, dare I say it, bengals share of the carries this week? I can’t see a scenario where Bernard comes in and immediately forces Hill back to his original time share role. A ranking in the 30s is where Hill was BEFORE the injuries to Bernard. I’m sorry, but he’s a high end RB2 this week. Bernard is a High End RB3, if that.

    • Khen says:
      (link)

@BTDRNKS: I agree with you too, all reports seem to be that Hill will be getting the early down carries while Gio is just a change of pace running back until he is fully healthy. I’m still starting Hill this week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@BTDRNKS: It’s a fair point, and something I’ll re-evaluate for my final rankings, but I’m comfortable where I have them at the moment.

  16. Charles says:
    (link)

Jay what is your take on NE signing Blount? Are they going to use him over Jonas Gray now? Do I start Gray or FJax in my flex given this news?

And if Fitzgerald does not play this Sunday would you start Michael Floyd over Devante Adams?

    NON-PPR.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Charles: They might. I have no idea what that situation is, but I doubt Gray get’s downgraded a lot after that last game. Right now, still Gray. And yeah, I’d go Floyd there.

  17. i like football says:
    (link)

    Two quick ones:

TE: Larry Donnell or Coby Fleener

RB (need someone to fill in for bell, and traded bradshaw for hilton last week): Daniel Herron or LeGarrette Blount. I’m planning on playing herron but wanted to hear your thoughts

  18. 12 team ppr, I lose and I’m out of the playoffs. I need to pick 2 recievers:
    Shorts
    R Randal
    Wayne

this is the order you have them ranked, but I was really thinking Wayne and Shorts. Is there something I’m missing as to why to start reuben over reggie?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dollabill: There’s a chance that Jacksonville gets wiped out, leaving less volume. But they are so close, I wouldn’t argue flipping them.

  19. Paulie3821 says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, in 1 pt ppr, would you trade away Julio Jones & Fred Jax to get Lev Bell & Oliver ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Paulie3821: It’s fair, and if you need a running back, I’d do it.

  20. branden says:
    (link)

standard league charles sims vs chi or reggie bush vs pats assuming he plays

  21. Mike says:
    (link)

Sims, F. Jackson, Edelman, Stills. Pick two (ppr)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: Edelman and Jackson seem like the safest options at the moment.

  22. Nick says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, why do you rank Andre Johnson that much higher than Sanu or K Allen? Johnson has a bad matchup with Cincy which should come with many runs by Foster/Blue..meanwhile Sanu has a great matchup against the pass if Watt doesn’t get in the way..

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: I think Dalton will have trouble against that front seven, and same with the Chargers offense against the Rams.

  23. Stanman says:
    (link)

I am hoping to trade Ryan Mathews and Keenan Allen for either rashad Jennings or Lamar miller. Idk if I am asking for too much. Is either of those 2 fair? Are both fair enough that asking for Jennings (the better player+schedule) would be the better initial offer?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Stanman: I’d hold on both.

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@Stanman: i’d think it would be fairly up in the air as to which of those three alone ends up with more, value, much less just assuming the one you don’t own is worth the two you do.

  24. Dom B says:
    (link)

Flex Charles Sims or f Jax or roddy white and also better TE start Larry Donnell or Delaine Walker

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Dom B: Sims and Donnell.

  25. DiRo says:
    (link)

Wow, you are really low on both Gray and J Bell, but high on Harvin. I was gonna ask you who to start this week, but it’s fairly obvious. I just don’t trust Harvin at all.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @DiRo: Yeah, it’s a high risk/high reward option there.

  26. Joe Shmoe says:
    (link)

    Hi Jay,
Thanks again for the advice last week.
Who do you think I should start for my flex this week: McKinnon, Colston, or J. Gray? (Stills is still on waiver wire) but I don’t like any of them. My sneaky gut feeling says I should drop one of these guys and pick up Hawkins.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joe Shmoe: Colston for Hawkins isn’t crazy, and I’m leaning Gray until I evaluate the Blount signing.

  27. DiRo says:
    (link)

Moving forward and to the end of the year, do you like the AZ or NE defense more?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @DiRo: Ari.

  28. STL says:
    (link)

His Mark Ingram for My Randall Cobb straight up? I have OBJ, Gordon, and Alshon as my other WRs. My RBs are McKinnon, Lamar Miller, and Crowell.

My biggest worry is the rest of the Saints RBs getting healthy and cutting into his time.

    What do you think?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@STL: Yeah, but I think you still need help there. If that’s the best you can get, it’s close enough.

  29. Clint says:
    (link)

So, you’d sit Hilton and start Julio, Megatron, & Cobb instead for a 1.5pt/ppr league? Considering what the Pats did to Hilton last week, and Megatron’s silence last week vs Peterson, I’m worried about him especially w/Hilton’s prime matchup vs the Jags. I know you rarely sit Megatron but the Pats have locked down receivers with the Browner/McCourty strategy, right?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Clint: It’s a fair point, I’m holding right now, but I’ll reevaluate as we get closer to Sunday. I’m sensing either a blow out or a trap game there, which is a risky call…

  30. BEATS by Ray says:
    (link)

Looking ahead to next week, better D/ST? Rams vs. Oak or Giants @ Jags?

  31. KTrout17 says:
    (link)

    #24, nice damn work Jay…

Am I really going to start the Dirty Sanchez over Matty Ice? This feels so wrong…but I need this.

And outside of your top 5, who’s the QB with the schedule left to rock through the playoffs? Doesn’t matter if I lose this week anyway….but still curious.

    xoxo

    • Beats by Ray says:
      (link)

      @KTrout17: Stafford for the playoffs

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@KTrout17: Rodgers at this point. And yeah, the match ups really tilt in Sanchez’s favor this week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@KTrout17: Oh, misread the top-5 part. I kinda like Romo and Wilson.

  32. Mike says:
    (link)

Vjax or Lamar Miller this week?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Mike: Miller.

  33. Reid says:
    (link)

Which three RB’s are you rolling with this week? I’m starting Harvin fyi.

    Hill, Ivory, Miller, and Forsett.

    ¡Gracias!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Reid: Hill, Miller, and Forsett.

  34. Oliver says:
    (link)

Michael Floyd, V-Jax, Mike Wallace, Baldwin, Alfred Blue, or Sims in my Flex this week? Standard, 10-team, non-PPR league.

Available Free Agents include: Britt, Shorts, Malcolm Floyd, and Stills.

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Oliver: Either Blue or Sims there. Looking like Blue with Foster looking more and more doubtful.

  35. Marc Castillo says:
    (link)

    @Jay –

Trying to decide on Ronnie Hillman in the moment if I should part ways with him and pick up either:

Charles Sims – OR – Boom Herron

OR should I wait it out and see if Hillman comes back for the Fantasy Playoffs?

  36. kexin says:
    (link)

    LaFell, Stills, Harvin, Julio Jones
    Need 2

Is it wise to bench Jones and start Harvin + Stills?

    • kexin says:
      (link)

@kexin: I can’t bring myself to bench Julio.
      LaFell, Stills, Harvin, Tate
      Need 1 for flex

  37. FilthyRich says:

A Foster is inactive today. So deciding between J Hill and Blue. Which would you start?
