You rank Rishard Matthews, MIA even though He’s out indefinitely due to “multiple fractured ribs”. So I would assume Devante Parker would be ranked in his place?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@djsatane: He’ll beeeeee fine… yeah, mess up on my part. I’ve updated rankings. Matthews has been removed and DeVante I have at 47 right now. Thanks for the catch!

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@djsatane: RE: check what patrice bergeron did in NHL finals with multiple broken ribs, AND either 1 or 2 separated shoulders in playoffs a couple of years back. the 2nd did in fact knock him completely out though and he missed the last 2.5 or so games.

  2. Mike says:
    (link)

Playoffs start tonight for me. My locked in starters are Dalton, Shady, Freeman, Gio, Chandler(I hate seing Gronk on my bench), Panthers D. At WR, i’m looking at starting Dez (whos matchup I like) and Travis Benjamin (whos been pretty solid all year). I do have John Brown and Moncrief on my bench. I don’t know that I fully trust them to get enough targets. Thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: I’m going with what you’re going with. I like the balance there, and think it’s your best set up. Good luck!

  3. Butterfield says:
    (link)

Which three would you start? McCoy, Gurley, Lacy, or Rawls. (0.25 ppr)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Butterfield: I think Lacy is the odd man out there for the moment.

  4. Nick says:
    (link)

Surprised how low you are on Fitzy…I think he is just outside of top 10 material this week against the Giants terrible secondary…I actually had Cutler ready to roll for week 13 but dropped him for Fitzy as Cutler has been known to BURN people…& I’m willing to bet he does just that, this week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: I have him at 9 on WR, but if you’re talking overall, then yeah, I could see him having a big game. Cutler’s foundation is for the national burn center.

      • Nick says:
        (link)

@Jay: By Fitzy, I mean Fitzpatrick! Hence the droppin of Cutler for him! lol

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Nick: Ah, that makes so much more sense, haha.

          • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
            (link)

            @Jay: hahahaha

  5. Wendy says:
    (link)

Clinched playoff spot have Bree’s and t Taylor but Fitzpatrick, tannehill and Winston are available – who would you rather have down the stretch

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Wendy: Nice!. I like Tanne this week… I might stream that second QB spot if that’s possible. If not, Sticking with Taylor isn’t the worst idea.

  6. Brad says:
    (link)

How about Danny Amendola? Where do you think he would fit into the rankings in a PPR league?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brad: Nice pick up, he was missing. I have him at 36 now.

  7. Fantasy girl xoxo says:
    (link)

    Hi jay…
I need my weekly help as this week is super important and I feel like I had every injured quality player on my team!
    PPR league…
I have my RBs set as woodhead and hill and my WRs set as Marshall and Vincent Jackson
My flex options are… Langford, James jones or Inman? Who would you pick and do you think I’ve made the right choices so far?!
    Thanks for the help!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Fantasy girl xoxo: I think you’ve done okay! Langford is the start there, but Inman is an interesting option. It was close, for sure.

      • Fantasy girl xoxo says:
        (link)

        thanks jay….
So flex you would go Langford over James jones? I was torn

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Fantasy girl xoxo: I do want to point out that I’m watching Forte’s reports from practice up until Friday night. If it looks like he’ll get the majority of carries, I’m fine moving to Jones there.

          • fantasy girl xoxo's husband says:
            (link)

@Jay: But with Jones, doesn’t she have to decide tonight?

…and yes, I am her real life husband.

  8. Matty says:
    (link)

Thanks for the help so far this season. I’m playoff-bound.
Any hot tips in the playoff weeks that we can act on early? Dark horses you’re expecting to over perform? Overlooked cake matchups coming up in weeks 15-17?
    Thanks again dude.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Matty: Good to hear! This week? Winston, Lat Murray, Steve Johnson, and Heath all jump to mind.

  9. El Jefe says:
    (link)

So I need to start 2 of these RB: Lacy, Miller, David Johnson, or J Allen. Went from rb hell to rb hell if I know who to start. Why so low on d Johnson? Everyone else is going over the top on him it seems..

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@El Jefe: Yeah, I want to see a full games load for him first. I like him as a pick-up, and I actually liked him more than Chris Johnson early in the year. This week, I want to wait and see.

  10. Scott says:
    (link)

Surprised how low you are on FitzMAGIC…I think he is just outside of top 10 material this week against the Giants terrible secondary

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Scott: Maybe. I think the Giants have enough of a rush to create some issues. You could be right though and he might move up a little.

  11. Steve says:
    (link)

    PPR League; Start 2 Rbs
Rawls, CJ Anderson, Woodhead, and Ware.
    Leaning towards Rawls and CJ.
My concern is CJ not starting over Hillman.
Does Ware end up splitting carries with West?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve: I think CJ has bought some carries for now, and I think your set up is for the best here.

  12. Scott says:
    (link)

Who is your favorite non-Razzball football ranker?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Scott: This might sound like a copout, but I don’t really pay attention to them. I feel like it might affect which way our rankings would go. I will say, that I do go back and look at what the top accuracy guys saw, not just for some perspective, but also trying to pick up on their methodology.

      • Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
        (link)

@Jay: as a distant relation to (famous philosopher of science) Thomas Kuhn this is good science. Just kidding (about the relation part), but i was highly attracted to a girl named Kuhn once, while i was reading a lot of T.Kuhn. Try to learn from the others after the fact, but not during the process, as it could influence it in a myriad of ways.

  13. rapscallion13 says:
    (link)

I have Chiefs D and Cardinals D. I need to use one for playoffs weeks 14 & 15 and drop the other to now to replace Gronk. I like the Chiefs matchups better (SD & BAL) than the Cards (MIN & PHI). At least I like week 14 better. I was leaning Chiefs because they have been so good lately, but now with Justin Houston out, I’m not sure. Any thoughts?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@rapscallion13: Yeah, on that schedule, I like KC too. They still have Hali.

  14. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

Do you honestly trust Jog DMC and Miller more than Forte, West, or David Johnson at this point? I just can’t get behind either one of those guys after last week. I have Freeman and McCoy in at RB1/2 and have DMC, Miller, Forte, West, Johnson that I can use at Flex (could also go with Watkins or Amendola there).

    0.5 PPR – 3 point bonus at 85 yards receiving/100 yards rushing – 6 point bonus at 135 yards receiving/150 yards rushing

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Wilsonian: Eh, all of it is right on the cusp of meh right now. If it were me, I’d probably lean towards DMC, but Miller is an interesting ceiling case.

  15. Teddy Heater says:
    (link)

    Jay,
Morning brotha! Week 14 question, HA! I know these are terrible D’s but I have Atl @ Car & Pir @ Cin. Who do you like better next week:

    Phi v Buf
    Cle v SF
    Mia v NYG
    Was @ Chi
    Det @ Stl

      • Eli Man Penguin Boy says:
        (link)

@Jay: really, anybody playing STL is likely to get at least 2 picks, some sacks. depending on scoring settings too, as you KNOW STL won’t score much.

  16. ryanoger says:
    (link)

    .5 ppr league

Who should I flex this week:

Doug Baldwin, Theo Riddick, Antonio Gates, Alfred Blue, or Jordan Matthews?

    thanks jay
    ryan

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @ryanoger: Leaning Gates there.

      • ryanoger says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Out of curiosity who would be the next man out of that bunch?

        thanks man
        ryan

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @ryanoger: Probably Baldwin. Any time!

  17. L-Boogie says:
    (link)

Yo Jay, Langford or riddick for this week in PPR league?

    Thanks.

  18. Nature boy says:
    (link)

.5 ppr pick 2: Rawls @MIN, Ingram vs. CAR, TY @ PIT

    Wooooooo!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nature boy: Rawls and TY is the safe play I think.

  19. J says:
    (link)

from 1 J to another Jay
    Pick 1 RB
    Ware
    West
    David Johnson

    Pick 1 TE
    Kelce
    Julius Thomas

    Pick 1 WR
    Martavis Bryant
    LaFell

    Thanks in advance

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@J: brought to you by the letter J! I’d go West, Kelce, Bryant there.

  20. Zandy says:
    (link)

Still roll Rivers out there over Cutler this week? (despite rankings) who has higher floor?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: It’s still tough for me. I think you have to take Cutler here, just because of how the 49ers defense compares to the Broncos.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: will do! Who is the drop? Roster below
        2 RB, 2WR, 1 flex
RB: JStew, Ivory, CWest, Gore —– White, Ajayi, MJones,
WR: Julio, Calvin, ARob, Demaryius —- JBrown

        Assume drop MJones for Cutler?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Zandy: Yeah, I think it’s Jones.

  21. The Big Yabu says:
    (link)

    Two questions:
    (1) I have Roethlisberger and Stafford — start Stafford tonight, or bench him and assume that Big Ben will be cleared for Sunday?
    (2) Why so low on Amendola?
    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@The Big Yabu: I think Stafford is the safe play. I think Ben plays, but it’s kinda risky to wait on that. And he may move up a little, everything is fluid until we get closer to the weekend.

  22. Dave says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay,

Basically playoffs for me this week because if I lose I’m out and I have some tough choices in my lineup. It’s PPR I have:

    RB1:Lamar Miller
    RB2:Charcandrick West
    TE: Eifert
    Flex: Reed
    Lacy on bench

Do I put Lacy over Charcandrick with a possible committee in KC? Do I put Reed in the TE spot and Lacy in the flex and bench Eifert because he might be hurt? Don’t know who to bench with these options.

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: I might ride Lacy here one more week. He responded well after being in the dog house. And I might keep Eifert and Reed going.

  23. Chris S says:
    (link)

PPR, pick two: DMC, Lacy, David Johnson, Gore

Non-PPR, pick one: Gore, Langford, Aiken, Stevie J

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chris S: DMC and Lacy. Gore and Johnson.

  24. ryanoger says:
    (link)

    ROS…

    Santos or Tucker?

    best,
    Ryan

  25. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

Must-win this week against the 1st place team in order to make the playoffs (despite leading the league in pts). Concerned with Cooks as my WR2, especially if he draws Norman. The ‘Aints have been bad lately, he’s only scored against terrible teams, and the matchup is brutal. That said, he’s higher in your rankings than any of the FA available, and my opponent has Brees.

Standard scoring, but with 1pt/25 return yd as well, so WR/KR like Lockett, D. Harris and T. Austin have a little added value. It’s a tough-but-winnable matchup, and I’m trying to decide whether to prioritize ceiling or floor.

    a) Stick with Cooks, or go with b) one of the returners above; c) a matchup play like Funchess @NO or Marvin Jones @Cle; or d) take a moonshot with Mike Floyd?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: While it might be a tough game for Cooks, I’m still liking him over those guys. Though… the Funchess thing is tempting. Ask me again on Saturday if you can, but for now, still leaning Cooks.

  26. Side Dish says:
    (link)

TD only league. We start all players

Matt Ryan, Eli, Fitzpatrick, or Russel Wilson ? Choose two
Demarco Murray, McFadden, David Johnson, Gore, or CJ Anderson? Choose two

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Side Dish: I’d go Wilson and Ryan with Murray and DMC.

  27. Zandy says:
    (link)

Crosby or McManus ROS, just checking in to see if anything has changed

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Well, this week it’s Crosby, haha. McManus close behind though.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: hahahaha thanks – saw the tucker Q and couldnt resist

did u miss me above – who ya cutting for the cutler

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Zandy: Ah, found it. Yeah, Jones.

  28. Nightmare says:
    (link)

I’m with the guy above. I have cooks as my WR3 but I’m leaning towards Devante Parker instead. What u think Jay-bird?

Also which 2 rb’s this week u starting………………….McCoy, Stewart, forte. I have to sit 1

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nightmare: I don’t think it’s a reach here, but I’m still slightly leaning Cooks here. But it’s not far apart.

      • Nightmare says:
        (link)

@Jay: jay bird which 2 rb’s. McCoy forte Stewart

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Nightmare: Leaning Stewart and McCoy right now.

  29. Pete says:
    (link)

Would you flex Cobb, L. Miller, or West in PPR?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Pete: Tough one. Leaning Cobb, but Miller is close.

  30. JFresh says:
    (link)

Yo Jay! Who should I start? Drew Brees or Philip Rivers? Both have terrible matchups and have not really been consistent lately but I have to pick one. Thanks.

*Oh and we get point per completion in my league

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @JFresh: I’d say Rivers.

  31. Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
    (link)

Tehol’s back so here’s our pickems, get them to that file you have somewhere. i’ll only list the differences since we’re two people total

    Me:
    GB
    TEN
    BUF
    NYJ
    NE

    Tehol:
    DET
    JAX
    HOU
    NYG
PHI (wow, he’s trying to give me this one)

  32. Slippy says:
    (link)

Help me out.. I need to play one of Cobb, amendola or lafell. I like dola the best cause ppr but ur ranking has me second guessing. You cool with waiting till Sunday to play amendola with lafell as back up if he sits??

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Slippy: Yeah, I’m fine waiting. You have options, use em.

  33. Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey says:
    (link)

since hankerson doesn’t look likely to play, go tamme over rid dick in 1/5th PPR?

    • Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey says:
      (link)

@Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey: and i’m seeing you rank hank +40 compared to consensus, so you must move tamme upwards if new info indicated hankerson wasn’t playing.

      • Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey says:
        (link)

@Jay: in a completely different PPR league playing riddick over one of sims/duke might kill my chance at best record. this game is looking less and less like a situation where riddick will be used. UNTIL i notice that my opp is playing Rodgers there, yes!

        • Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey says:
          (link)

@Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey: but rodgers doing this in yet another league will make me play a team in the 1st round that’s scored about 220 more pts on year than the team i would’ve played had i won this week, something very hard to do when your highly drafted QB does this. When you’re in enough leagues something good is something bad somewhere else.

  34. I don't want to brag, but i have irritable bowel syndrome says:
    (link)

in dynasty standard, parker or hold d.adams?

  35. The imp says:
    (link)

Owning Brees and Russell Wilson would you drop either Wilson or a bench RB to get Cutler and work around two suspect matchup for my QBs?
The RB drop would be from this mediocre end of Blount, duke, blue and ware.

  36. Blake says:
    (link)

thought tyler eifert was out today? you have him still high in your rankings?
