    Great stuff Jay!

I’m in the first week of playoffs this week in a 12 team PPR league…
    I need your advice please.

    1. Do I start F. Gore or J. Hill for one of my RB spots?

    2. Scott Chandler or J. Witten for my TE spot?

    3. For my R/W/T spot any of the discarded above or D. Green-Beckham, Snead orJames Jones?

    Thanks Jay!

    • RicoSuave says:
      (link)

      @RicoSuave: for number 3. I forgot to add S. Diggs…

      Thanks again!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@RicoSuave: Playoff time, good luck man!

      1. Going Hill, 2. Chandler, and 3. probably not.

      • RicoSuave says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Thanks Jay!

so, who should I start in my “R/W/T” spot? my options are: S. Diggs, F. Gore, J. Witten, Green-Beckham, Snead, James Jones.

        Thanks again Jay

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@RicoSuave: Ah, Diggs for sure. Any time!

  2. CharlieTweeder says:
    (link)

Who would start Bortles over Roethlisberger this week? I’m considering this.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@CharlieTweeder: Going Big Ben, but they’re close enough to where it’s a coin flip.

      • CharlieTweeder says:
        (link)

@Jay: I like the way you think. I could see this game being either 10-6 or 35-28

  3. chadaristic says:
    (link)

Mark Ingram is out, where do the Saints give the carries? Shouldn’t Spiller see an uptick in a 1 point PPR league with not only Ingram being out, but the Saints probably needing to pass a bit more? I kind of assume Hightower would get the goal line carries tough, how do you think this will play out?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@chadaristic: Spiller should see an uptick, but I’m not totally trusting him with a start in the playoffs. I think Hightower is safer.

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@chadaristic: peyton doesn’t trust that spiller actually understands the playbook (quote from week 7 or 8, and his touches haven’t gone up since then) and he’s not good at pass pro, compared to most, including hightower.

  4. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

    1) Coin flip on Evans vs. Amendola?

    2) Coin flip on L.Miller vs. D.Johnson? Leaning Johnson even against a tougher Minny D. Could also play Forte.

    0.5 PPR – 3 point bonus at 85 yards receiving/100 yards rushing – 6 point bonus at 135 yards receiving/150 yards rushing – 6 points per TD

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Wilsonian: Yeah, probably Evans there. 2. Leaning Johnson as well.

  5. Teddy Heater says:
    (link)

    Jay,
Hey the link says the contest already stated for FD.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Teddy Heater: Ah, second week in a row, I’ll let them know. Also, shirt is on it’s way!

      • Teddy Heater says:
        (link)

@Jay: Sweet, Thanks Mang! Ingram going down almost sunk my season. I traded AJ and Forsett for him a month ago, but I decided to cuff him with Spiller after seeing the Lynch/Rawls situation unfold. Now I’m trying to figure out who to start. Would you start Eifert v Pit (they’ve only let up 1 +10 TE in the last 8 weeks) or Spiller in the Flex spot non-PPR?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Teddy Heater: I think I like Eifert there, but it’s somewhat close.

          • Teddy Heater says:
            (link)

@Jay: Preesh on the advice, yeah it’s a coin flip for me. GAMETIME Decision!

  6. JoeBoo says:
    (link)

What’s up with all the Stevie Johnson love? Drop Diggs for him? Worth a FLEX play in PPR over Charcandrick?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@JoeBoo: Hmm, I wouldn’t. I want to see how the Chargers offense will react now that there’s nothing to play for. To be honest, the team hasn’t seen this record in 15 years.

  7. Joe says:
    (link)

This is the double dip of the week. Oh boy!

    1. Would you drop anyone to add Chris Polk,Tim Hightower, CJ Spiller, or Ryan Mathews? If so, who?

    2. Who should I start at my RB2 slot?

Current Lineup in a 10-team PPR. I am third and w

    QB: Big Ben
    RB: Draughn, ________?
    WR: Julio, A-Rob
    TE: Chandler
    Flex: Fitzgerald
    K: Gano
    DST: DEN

Bench: Landry, Langford, Abdullah, Starks, Powell, V-Jax, Gronk

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joe: I would drop Ameer for Hightower probably. 2. Leaning Starks.

      • Joe says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Cool! Would you drop anyone to stash the concussed Mathews too with an eye towards the playoffs?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Joe: I might pass. Powell is basically the same rhing.

  8. Blake says:
    (link)

1st week of playoffs in my standard league (no flex) – what do you think?

    RB: D Freeman
    RB: J stewart
    B: M Forte
    B: S Draughn

    WR: D Thomas
    WR: A Robinson
    WR: D Beckham
    B: K Aiken
    B: S Johnson

Per your rankings freeman, stewart and forte are all right there. Any of them might have a higher upside? stewart is a little nicked up and forte is in a timeshare

Do I gamble on beckham? or just do S Johnson per your rankings? Johnson did not catch a pass last week!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: I think Forte has the highest upside, and Stewart is the floor. Beckham is fine, but Johnson will see some work. I’d say Beckham has the ceiling though.

      • Blake says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

would you roll the dice with beckham instead of Johnson? same with forte over stewart?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Blake: yes I would. Maybe a balanced approach, like Green with Forte. Or vica versa.

  9. Impending doom says:
    (link)

Good morning Jay and good work! Have Bridgewater and Rivers in a keeper forever league. Winston and Fitzpatrick available this morning. Swap both for both or what do you think? Also do you think there any ‘must pick up now’ players for 2016 that are probably on the wire…like R Rodgers, Green Beckham, D Parker, Lockett, Coleman? Just wondering who you are high on for 2016.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Impending doom: I’d do Bridgewater for Winston. And I like DGB next year. Maybe Lockett if his role expands.

  10. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

Am I crazy for thinking of benching Palmer tonight in favor of Tyrod on Sunday? That Eagles D has been brutal and Taylor just lit up a couple tough opponents. MIN has a lot of injuries on D, but I’m worried that means Palmer won’t have to throw.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: I’m leaning Palmer, but your argument isn’t crazy. Thursday games are so weird… Tyrod is an interesting play. I’m cool with it.

  11. Rice says:
    (link)

I have lost all trust in Dez (as long as Matt Cassel is in charge of throwing him the ball) but is there any way you CAN’T start the guy??? He’s so talented. Talk me off the ledge, Jay. I’m considering starting one of the following over Dez.

(Dez is my flex, FYI – have Julio and AJ)

    Spiller
    D. Parker

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Rice: I think you can make the Parker argument… and I know it’s tough, but I’m sticking with Dez.

  12. GFY250 says:
    (link)

Maybe I missed it but why no love for Marty Bryant? I’m debating between Bryant, Cooks & Draughn.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@GFY250: i don’t know man, thursday games are always tough to gauge. I’m just feeling some other guys a bit more.

  13. Jake says:
    (link)

Thinking of playing Jamis Winston over Dalton this week is that crazy ? I also am undecided between Lacy / Starks or Jeremy Hill as my # 2 back I could start both if I bench Amendolla and this is a non ppr league. I just expect a lot of targets for Amendolla so its a difficult decision. I just read that Lacy is out of the dog house and could see him having a big game at home most likely playing with the lead. What would you do ?

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jake: No, it’s not crazy at all. I’m probably still leaning Dalton, but I could see Winston having a big week. I might just go Hill there. Packers are an enigma at the moment.

  14. Nightpandas says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, snuck into the playoffs at 5-8 winning my last two…

    Can you help, .5 ppr

Wr: Fitz, Amendola, Cooks (need 2)
Rb: AP, Draughn (going these 2)
    TE: Walker, Reed (need 1)
Flex: Lacy, Hillman, Spiller, 1 Wr from above or 1 TE from above (need 1)

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nightpandas: Sure. I’d do Fitz and Cooks, Reed, and Amendola. Good luck!

  15. Don Majikowski says:
    (link)

Make or break decision…dance with the girl who brought you or the sexy fuck-up with upside??

Derek Carr or Johnny Football this week? I know you have Manziel at 23 and Carr at 26, so basically a toss-up, but just want your thoughts on Carr at Denver or Johnny home against Niners?? Which way would you go??

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Don Majikowski: I’d probably go Manziel against an easier defense.

  16. Scott says:
    (link)

Hi Jay. Not starting him this week, but Davante Adams or Antonio Andrews as a FLEX stash for the playoffs? PPR

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Scott: I’d stash Adams.

  17. Phil B.

    pbmax says:
    (link)

Help! After Ingram going down, I need some help choosing between the crap left. Pick 1 RB and 1 RB/WR. Choices: Sproles, Hightower, Shorts 3, Diggs, Antonio Andrews.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @pbmax: Hightower and Diggs.

      • Phil B.

        pbmax says:
        (link)

@Jay: thanks! Can’t believe I’m starting Hightower. Moreso can’t believe he’s still around. Even better I dropped Ellington for him.

  18. Mgeezy says:
    (link)

    @jay

    What up son!

    Help me out.

Big Ben or Jameis vs NO

    Tim Hightower or Ronnie hillman

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mgeezy: What up! Big Ben and Hillman.

  19. JohnnyBeGood says:
    (link)

Jay! in ppr Flex, L Murray, D Parker or Spiller? Murray right? just hate that matchup in Denver & cant get 5 pts from him

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@JohnnyBeGood: Murray, has to be. I know, tough match-up, but I’m still doing it.

  20. JohnnyBeGood says:
    (link)

Sorry, also in 1/2 ppt PPR, Dez or DeVante ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@JohnnyBeGood: I like Parker, but have to lean towards Dez here.

  21. citizen5 says:
    (link)

Thanks for a great season. Standard Scoring, not PPR.
Looking over the rankings it appears that West is my best choice for FLEX this week. Other options on my bench are Langford, White, Ware, Amendola, Cobb or Cooper.
    1) Do you agree?

Starters are: QB Cam, RBs Peterson, Yeldon, WRs Robinson, Megatron FLEX West
    2) Do you like the lineup as is?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@citizen5: Thanks for being a part of it!

      1. Yeah, I think so. 2. I think you should stick with that, sure. Though, Cooper is tempting at the flex. Double check my rankings Sat night just in case.

  22. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

Playoffs are wks 15-17 and I have a spot locked up–could get a bye if I win and one of two other teams loses, but based on their matchups I don’t think it’s likely. Anyway, this week is relatively meaningless for me. I want to pick up Mike Floyd before tonight’s game as a potential stash and see if he goes over 100 for the 4th time in 5 games. Standard scoring, 5pt bonus at 100yds. Marshall and Cooks are the only 2 WR on my roster. My question is, who’s the drop?

    A) NE DST – I have DET for this week. In wk 15 DET is @NO and NE is vTen. There are other decent wk 15 options in FA (MIN vChi, TB @StL, MIA @SD).
    B) Chandler – I have him in my lineup this week, but also have Reed, and with Gronk getting a little practice in it looks like he’ll be back for me wk 15. That said, I don’t necessarily want to give Chandler to a potential playoff opponent in case Gronk has a setback.
    C) Spiller – I just picked him up in case he becomes the lead dog in NO.

Secondary question – would you drop a second of the above to grab DGB? As noted above, I only have 2 WR on my roster. Flex is usually between Buck Allen and L. Murray.

    • Steve Stevenson says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: Oh crap, Cooks was concussed in practice and now will probably miss this week. So now the follow-up question is do I play Floyd tonight? The next best available options from your rankings are Aiken and M. Jones, who are in the two slots right above Floyd but don’t play in a couple hours.

      • A Wesley Snipes Life says:
        (link)

@Steve Stevenson: glad i saw this somewhere.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: I think your safest bet is trading in your defense and just stream to get Floyd. I think it’s worth it.

Second, I’d hold off on DGB. I like him a lot, but what you have works.

  23. Scott says:
    (link)

Sorry, another stash question. Karlos Williams or Spencer Ware?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Scott: No worries! Williams.

  24. Impending doom says:
    (link)

Yet another keeper forever question. Which two of these should I keep for 2016…Amendola, Matt Jones, and Green Beckham? Thanks!

    • shookonespart3 says:
      (link)

@Impending doom: jones and green beckham for me

  25. MattyIce says:
    (link)

Can play 5 of these six, who sits (PPR scoring)?

McCoy, Doug Martin, David Johnson, Julio, AJ Green, Allen Robinson

    Thanks for the advice.

    • Steve Stevenson says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: Wow, nice problem to have. I think the sit is Julio.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @MattyIce: I think it’s Johnson. But that’s a tough one.

  26. shookonespart3 says:
    (link)

against conventional wisdom I’ve been stacking Antonio brown and martavis Bryant in my lineup the past two weeks over the likes of Sammy Watkins and dez Bryant.

now Sammy has been going off on my bench (sat him due to poor matchups plus martavis > Sammy in fantasy IMO)

I see you have Sammy ranked highly now (13th) vs martavis at 20..

do I stick with Antonio brown and martavis or spread th elove to Antonio brown and Sammy this week. I get nervous with Sammy as his targets are all over the place, but on paper he should get fed this week no? also I hear the bengals secondary is extremely banged up keeping me interested in the aforementioned brown/Bryant duo.

thanks. I assume we’re playing Sammy and/or martavis over hightower right? lol. cant believe I picked that guy up.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@shookonespart3: I’m always nervous with Sammy, but I do like his match-up this week. And both over Hightower, yeah.

      • Voiceofreason says:
        (link)

@Jay: sorry confusing lost.. Pick 1 from martavis/sammy/Hightower..

So martavis vs sammy Watkins as a Antonio brown owner as well?

  27. Side Dish says:
    (link)

Looking at Week 15…I have a first round bye.

    Which kicker do you prefer?
    Josh Brown home CAROLINA
    Santos at BALTIMORE
    McMannus at PITT

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Side Dish: Brown at the moment. Home and will probably be a close game.

can you help me decide which two WR, two RB and one flex to start out of these players:
WR: ty hilton, sammy watkins, desean jackson, allen hurns, devante parker, anquan boldin
RB: shaun draughn, spencer ware, gio bernard, antonio andrews,

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@mark: I’m probably going Hilton, Watkins, Draughn, Gio and Jackson.

  29. Jerry says:
    (link)

Hey, Jay! Should I go with Boldin or Davante Parker as my flex? Also, Richard Rodgers or Gates? I know both matchups are not favorable. Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jerry: I’d go Parker and Gates there.

  30. A Wesley Snipes Life says:
    (link)

standard, for ROS (already having gronk/chandler/reed/mike floyd/cooks/r.matthews, TE/WR same thing here) m.jones or DGB? good seeing cooks out, i got mike floyd in last second here.

  31. J says:

    Hey Jay,
    need 1 RB
    Lamar Miller
    DeAngelo Williams

    thanks in advance

    • J says:

      Detroit or NYJ

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

        @J: I’d say the Jets.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @J: Williams I think.

  32. Greylar says:
    (link)

Would you drop of any of the following for B. Coleman or Juwan Thompson?

    Drop?
    A. Luck (I have Big Ben and Bortles)
    D. Parker
    D. Woodhead
    C. Shorts
Minnesota Def (going with Detroit this week)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      Probably Min def for Coleman.

  33. The imp says:
    (link)

    Need 2 rbs for PPR.
They suck due to injury, lame waiver position and other excuses.
I am in a coin flip matchup.
So would you play two NE rbs (Blount and White) and hope at least one hits or follow your rankings and play Blount with Ware?
    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@The imp: Good question… I’d try to diversify, but you might see Blount and White both have monster days, or not be part of the offense at all. I think you have to sneak Ware in there and hope for the best.

  34. brett says:
    (link)

    Jay,

Help me please. 1 point for 20 yards passing, 1 point for 10 yards rushing. All td’s are 6 points.

    Brady or WIlson?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@brett: I’m going with Brady here. Good luck man!

  35. Bill says:

Whoa Julio #1 overall receiver this week in PPR, even going against Norman? What’s your thinking if you don’t mind, thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bill: Most of it is Julio, but I could see this being sorta a trap.

  36. Blake says:
    (link)

in my standard league – I have to decide who my WR3 is going to be:

    Aiken
    S Johnson
    D Green-Bechkham

beckham gets revis, Johnson is hurt and does aiken do enough? I can get woods, snead or boldin off the waiver wire. Suggestions?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: I think DGB is safe here because of what you mentioned with AIken and Johnson. Revis floats, so I think DGB is going to be sorta-okay…

  37. david says:

Also… There’s nasty weather coming to the Chiefs game…I own Cairo Santos. Who should I start? Santos, or McManus, or Boswell, or Prater?
    Thanks!

    • Jay

I’m thinking what you’re thinking. Go with Julio there, and West with Ivory is an iffy situation. I might go West there, but double check my rankings tomorrow night. Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about the other team. I see a lot of potential low-impact games from some of those guys.

Hey, Jay! Davante Parker or Boldin as a flex in a full point ppr league? Thanks and enjoy the weekend? Thanks!

@Jerry: I’m thinking Parker right now, but double check my rankings Saturday night. And you too!

    Hey couple questions..

At flex who would you rather have? Dmc, tj yeldon, shaugn draughn, Ronnie hillman..

I assume we still start freeman or is he in question to bench for one of the above guys??

I drafted a crap gonna rbs as you can see they turned out ok hah.

Other question.. If my opponent starts marcus Wheaton do I want to start both martavis bryant and Antonio brown or Antonio brown and sammy Watkins?

He just picked him off the waiver wire and worried he’ll start him
    Against me.

    Thanks

@Voiceofreason: Probably DMC and yeah, Freeman. I think you could corner him with both Brown and Bryant, sure.

    Hi jay…
I’m in need of my weekly advice…
    PPR league…
    RBs are
    Woodhead
    Hill
    Langford
    Ryan Mathews
    WRs are
    Marshall
    Vincent jackson
    Devante Parker and
    James jones
Who would u have be flex and starting positions?
Curious to see if what I set matches your opinion…. Thank you jay!!

@Fantasy girl xoxo: What format is this? Assuming it’s 2/3/1 then I’d go Hill, Woodhead, Marshall, VJax, Parker and put Jones in the flex.

I have a first round bye this week in a half points ppr , 4 keeper , 12 man league

    Qbs – Wilson, Brees
Rbs – gore, Blount , Lacy , Matt jones
Wrs – Antonio, Evans, Cobb, Maclin
    Te – eifert, chandler

Someone dropped Edelman . Is it worth the risk to drop chandler for Edelman ? I realize that I won’t even be starting him, but if he comes back healthy, he might have some trade value for a draft pick before next years draft. I was debating risking holding off picking him up until the news on gronk came out whether he was playing

@Side dish: Yeah, it’s a wild card slot anyhow, why not?

Hey Jay, 1st round of playoffs and I need some decent points out of my QB… I have P. Rivers and also have Manziel (idk why I just have a feeling he’ll come out firing because of all the negativity about him). Available are Alex Smith, Mariota and Cutler. All crappy options but who would u go with? I need this W! Thanks bro

      Jay says:

@Money Mike: I might just go Alex Smith with the Chargers in complete shut down mode.

convinced comish to give us losers bracket guys actual incentive to win, the consolation winner will now get 1st overall next year, all 5 other non-playoff teams will go from 2nd to 6th in inverse regular season (13 week) standings. that being the case drop inman or r.matthews for k.martin (or herndon, martin ranked barely higher. PPR)
    2 QB PPR
    rodgers/rodfather/osweiler/keenum
forte/ivory/mathews (dropped white for him once i realized i’m not making playoffs)/woodhead/forsett
    d-jax/agholor/r.matthews/inman/edelman
    green julius/ertz
    IR jordy/allen
    ARI kicker

i’m seeing that r.matthews was ranked very high by some type of WR metric, so probably best off keeping him long term.
