Smokin’ a Bowe defeated Reign Maker$ in the Week 9 feature to grab sole possession of first place as the other 3 teams with 5-3 records all lost. This week they are showcased once again as they battle Sky, one of 6 teams just 1 game back of the league leaders. Sky will try to bounce back from a crushing defeat at jaywrong’s hands (154-106) where Percy Harvin, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Brandon Pettigrew combined for 8.8 points. He did have the top QB, though, as Carson Palmer racked up nearly 32 points. Smokin’ a Bowe was led by Matt Forte (21.8) and the Bears’ defense (27).

The Writer VinWins (4-5) vs JB Gilpin (5-4) JB got back on the winning track last week with a nice 143-point effort. Brandon Marshall (34.7) and Aaron Rodgers (27) were the keys. I lost a tight game to Team Krump, 110-106, when New Orleans couldn’t tackle DeSean Jackson before he crossed the goal line. I could be tied in 2nd place with everybody else! Of course, if I had started Brian Hartline instead of Titus Young, or stuck with the Giants’ defense…
Multiple Scorgasms (4-5) vs Suck My Left TD (5-4) The Scorgasms were the lowest-scoring team in Week 9 (70.56), while Suck My Left TD were the top team (154.4). Jaywrong totaled over 59 points in the Thursday game (SD Defense: 25, Rivers: 15.6, Novak: 7, Gates: 11.8) and never looked back.
The Bridgeburners (5-4) vs He Hate Me (4-5) The Bridgeburners scored 111 and lost, while He Hate Me managed just 99 points, but won. After jumping out to a 5-0 start, Tehol’s team is now in danger of missing the playoffs.
The Iron Throne (5-4) vs Team Krump (3-6) The Iron Throne had the top RB not named Doug Martin last week as Adrian Peterson racked up 32.8 points. Team Krump won their second straight as both Jay Cutler and Randall Cobb scored 20 points.
Podcast Kings (3-6) vs Reign Maker$ (5-4) Even Martin’s 52.3 points wasn’t enough for Reign Maker$, who fell to Smokin’ a Bowe, 139-130. Nick’s Kings fell to the basement, and will need Robert Griffin III to rebound if they are to have a chance at making the playoffs.
