The Bridgeburners knocked off He Hate Me 123 – 96 despite leaving the Seattle defense and their 41 points on the bench to set up a semifinal match with the first place Reign Maker$. Cam Newton’s strong play continued, but his 37 points were not enough for HHM to overcome the disappointing games of Torrey Smith, Bryce Brown, Fred Jackson, and Vernon Davis, who totaled 9 points between them.

In the other quarterfinal, JB, who just squeaked into the playoffs, knocked off 3rd place Smokin’ a Bowe 118 – 109, thanks to 64 points from the WR position, and will now face The Iron Throne.

Semi-Finals

The Bridgeburners (9-5) vs Reign Maker$ (9-4) Tehol has won four in a row following a 5-game slump, and now looks to knock Zorboss off his mighty perch.

Everyone but Green and the Pittsburgh defense put up decent numbers last week for The Bridgeburners, and a similar effort will be needed this week. The Steelers are gone in favor of the Seahawks, who face the Bills this week. I think the running back position will be the difference, and Tehol’s winning streak ends at 4 as Martin and Charles pile up the points.

JB Gilpin (7-7) vs The Iron Throne (8-5)  JB is trying to become the first 6th place team to win the Razzball Writers League since… well, as long as I can remember.

Rodgers will have to improve on his 14-point quarterfinal effort, while Marshall and White will need to stay hot to overcome the dynamic duo of Foster and Peterson. I think Josh’s team will squeeze out the victory, setting up the final between the top 2 teams.
