I sit down with Rotowan and Reid and we hash out the gambling prospects of the conference championships. We also talk about the Panther’s fantasy potential if Cam Newton sits out for the 2019 season. We continue our tradition of talking crap about the coaching carousel that happens every season in the NFL, including our disappointment that Hue Jackson doesn’t have a job yet. Come join us!

good lord the refs today are garbage. numerous pass inters not called (the NO one clearly the worst which would’ve won the game), brady while holding the ball you can’t touch his shoulder and it’s called a “roughing” to slap his shoulder WHILE he has the ball still? pretty sure only in women’s hockey can you not touch a ball carrier’s shoulder with a slap. bad day to watch this stuff.

@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6000 for you to bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: and MIA has now thrown away/wasted even more good players in their last 2 regimes (i forgot d-will was an ex-MIA guy).

      so it’s:
      1. l.miller
      2. ajayi (and all pro WHEN they traded what in a fantasy league would get you kicked out for collusion when you trade an all pro on a good cheap contract away for a late round pick(s))
      3. d.parker (barely used this year except for one game where he was actually given a lot of targets)
      4. d-will (barely used behind drake and maybe l.miller before he left too)
      5. drake (clearly their best player right now, almost never gets more than 14 touches a game (sometimes far less too))

if not for say NYJ and CLE (before h-jax got thrown out, no longer will they be in this convo at least based on evidence lately) this would easily be the most dysfunctional team in the league (and look where gase just went).

goodnight in the NE @ KC game both defenses in like the entire 2nd half (4th qt for sure) are just sloppy/bad. people are cheating on every play, and are getting caught a LOT, people jumping the line, a receiver is clutched/grabbed on about every play, one guy tries to dirty take out mahomes (when he didn’t have the ball) at his legs, this is like street basketball out there in the 4th qt. KC obviously is just a bad defense in general
KC (ended season DVOA 26th, but weighted towards late season over earlier 17th)
NE (ended season 16th, weighted 13th for late, actually better than i thought they were)

@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6000 for you to bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: and the fact that the “if you score a TD on first drive the other team doesn’t have a chance to tie” is baseball-rules level of idiocy in a playoff game (i’m not a KC fan to think this, wouldn’t matter if i was, it’s just silly to decide a game by a coin flip in the playoffs). in this exact game, with these 2 defenses today the team that won the coin flip was probably at least 68% or something to win just from winning that coin flip. as the level of the defenses goes up that lowers, but why even have that rule in place in the first place, just silliness.

neato, camtown got his shoulder surgery, but why exactly wait till late january for this? i see this weirdness in baseball all the time too, or they don’t even do it (see, luck, andrew, also OZUNA in baseball) then suck or don’t play for a year or more then eventually realize their bodies need to be fixed to play. are doctors just getting stupider or the players/agents? i won’t bring up the mess or LAA in baseball as in the instances of those teams it’s clearly that they have completely incompetent trainers/med staffs.

    – i’m guessing a lot of the time the exact same confidence/hubris that allows these people to get to the height of their particular sport(s) and become good players in the best league(s) in the world is the exact type of thinking that allows them to somehow believe they’ll just “play through it”. that part would make sense, but just each one of them should get an actually smart person that they trust who actually has a critical sense (could even be a sports doctor, but pretty clearly they must just not trust those guys very often)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: or maybe say their agents/wives/other family/friends were to put some effort into this stuff (it would be fairly believable for all those outside of the agent to be pretty ignorant though). it clearly benefits the agent to have their players not only play but play well so seems likely a bunch of these players just refuse to listen to their agents as well.
