I heard the other day that beer is on the decline in the United States. Over the past 5 years beer sales are down around 2.4% and a whopping 1.5% over the last year alone. More and more Americans are turning to spiked seltzer, canned wine and hard liquor these days. And I understand it. When my RazzBowl dreams were dashed on a dropped Will Fuller touchdown during week 13 Sunday Night Football, beer wasn’t strong enough to kill the pain. I was forced to turn to hard liquor—and hard drugs—to find momentary contentment.

But beer is not on the decline everywhere these days. Mike Beer’s of RotoViz came into the RazzBowl playoffs in first place and has held the lead for 5 of the last 6 weeks. This is a kind of dominance never seen before in the storied one year history of the RazzBowl playoffs! Will anyone be able to overcome the three headed Beers monster of McCaffrey, Cook and Henry? Adam Ronis of Fantasy Alarm and Nathan Marcum—the lone fan remaining in our championship bracket—intend to test Beer’s alcohol content and, and Beers’ fellow RotoViz’r Hasan Rahim lurks in 4th. Heath Cummings of CBS, Aaron Pagliaro of Fantasy in Frame, Danny Kelly of The Ringer and Greg Smith of 4for4 round out the rest of our 8 team RazzBowl Championship Bracket. Eight contenders enter and only five will advance, with one determined Wildcard Bracketeer making the leap into the final six for championship week 16.

Will Spiked Seltzer make a last minute move or is Beers destined to chug from the RazzBowl Championship Cup? Stayed tuned!
