Before we get going, I want to shout out @thegamersdome for not only reading the mess I wrote last week, but also unspooling the playoff message and improving it for me! Sir, if I came off prickly, I regret the offense, and be assured, I won’t shoot the messenger, I’ll appreciate them! Any frustration is directed inward toward me. Your time and effort are helpful and welcome. I’ve corrected the errors below.
I won’t take up a lot of space this week. But I do want to update you, even though, if you’ve figured out from hitting the “Overall Standings” link on the “My Teams” home page of your league in NFFC, you’re already ahead of me.
This is the Championship Tier after Week 11:

The “Overall Pts” is our score for Round 1, combining “RS AVG” (regular season average score) and “Week 11” score. I won’t speak for everyone, but it was an anemic week for yours truly. That’s what I get for setting my own lineup. Is it too late to go back to the bestball format? Just kidding, it 100% is!
The good news is we all have two more weeks to get right.
The “Cutline” is the mark of players who will advance in the Championship Tier for round 2. Those below it will move to the Wild Card Tier.

Congrats to @ColbyConway, who was the Week 11 high scorer by a significant margin. “The Carolina Panthers improved my outlook” are not words that go together often in our fantasy sport. May your hard work have you level up after Week 13!
There are two cutlines here: the players above the first cutline will promote to the Championship Tier for round 2. Those below the second cutline will be eliminated from the tournament.
I’m ready to keep working! I invite you to join me!
If you’re not in RazzBowl7 and have an interest in participating in RazzBowl8, reach out to me here for details.
The Thursday game is in Houston, with the Texans hosting the Buffalo Bills. The games in Europe are finished for the 2025 season. Cheers to the gracious and enthusiastic hosts!
Good luck in Round 1 of the tournament, which continues for the next two weeks! AND PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TWO THINGS:
- Waivers are no longer available. Our teams now will be our teams for the rest of the season.
- Starting this week, we are in charge of managing our lineups. The Bestball phase is over. To set lineups, the best two ways I know:
- From the “My Teams” page in NFFC at https://nfc.shgn.com/myTeams click on the link for your team name to get there, or
- From the “League Home” page of the division at https://nfc.shgn.com/league there is a “League Information” window to the right; from there click on the “Modify: Set Lineup” link.
A not-so-brief word about the RazzBowl7 playoffs:
The top 2 teams from each division have advanced to the Championship Tier of Round 1 of the playoffs, and the teams ranked 3-5 from each division have advanced to the Wild Card Tier. In essence, 40 teams are in the Championship Tier, and 60 teams are in the Wild Card Tier.
From Weeks 11-13, teams in those tiers will accumulate a scoring average that will be added to the weekly scoring average from the regular season (Weeks 1-10).
At the end of Round 1, the average scores from the regular season will be added to the average scores from Round 1. The top 30 teams in the Championship Tier will be joined by the top 6 teams from the Wild Card Tier for Round 2. The bottom 10 teams from the Championship Tier will join the Wild Card Tier for Round 2, and the bottom 14 teams from the Wildcard Tier will be eliminated. This will leave 86 teams: 36 in the Championship Tier, 50 in the Wild Card Tier.
Round 2 is in Week 14. We’ll start with cumulative scores from the regular season and Round 1. Week 14 scores will be added to those; the top 20 teams will stay in the Championship Tier and will be joined by the top 4 teams from the Wild Card Tier; the remaining 16 teams from the Championship Tier will move to the Wild Card Tier, joining the teams ranked 5-24 in the Wild Card Tier. Anyone below that will be eliminated. At this point, we will have 60 teams remaining: 24 in the Championship Tier, 36 in the Wild Card Tier.
Round 3 will be in Week 15. The cumulative scores from Round 2 will be added to the Week 15 scores: the top 14 teams in the Championship Tier will remain there, joined by the top 2 teams in the Wildcard Tier. The remaining 10 teams from the Championship Tier will move to the Wildcard Tier, joining the teams ranked from 3-13 in the Wildcard Tier. All others will be eliminated, leaving 37 teams: 16 in the Championship Tier, 21 in the Wild Card Tier.
Round 4 will be in Week 16. The cumulative scores from Round 3 will be added to the Week 16 scores: the top 9 teams in the Championship Tier will remain there, joined by the top team in the Wild Card Tier. The remaining teams from the Championship Tier will move to the Wildcard Tier, joining the teams ranked from 2-7 in the Wild Card Tier. All others will be eliminated, leaving 23 teams: 10 in the Championship Tier, 13 in the Wild Card Tier.
Week 17 is the Final Round. The 10 teams in the Championship Tier and the 13 teams in the Wild Card Tier will have cumulative scores from Round 4 added to the Week 17 scores. The top team from the Wildcard tier will win the Wild Card tier, and the top team in the Championship Tier wins the RazzBowl7 Tournament Championship.
If further explanation is needed, please reach out. I regret being dry, but there’s a lot to unpack, and I thought getting to the points would be best.
