We now officially have a dog fight to be, uh…top dog! Sorry, not very imaginative.
Our two previous leaders, @camarcano and @PepeSilva2, moved down one spot each to make way for Week 7’s number 3, @PVCLARK, who rode the 7th highest score for the week into the top spot!
This table includes the team’s current overall rank after Week 8, the team’s ranking from the previous week, the change from the previous week to the current overall, the ranking for the current week, league number, ranking within the league, team name on NFFC, points to date for the tournament, and points change from the previous week.
We want to shout out NFFC for adding the overall ranks to the league databases, so we can see how we’re doing overall. And it’s nuanced enough to know when there’s a tie, like there is for 23th place, which explains no 24th place.

Looking at the top 25, @PaulRyan17 had the 3rd highest score of Week 8 to move up 10 spots to number 6, @JustinMason had the 4th highest score of Week 8 to move up 28 spots to number 21, and entering the top 25 is the well-known @rotobuzzguy. You might be aware of him as that is his Twitter handle as well, and you may also know him from Fantasy Alarm and SiriusXM. Without divulging his location, it looks like the fresh air is doing him well.
Leagues 1009, 1011, and 1012 each own 3 of the top 25 spots, and leagues 1007, 1013, and 1020 each have two spots. Six leagues have 15 of the top 25 spots.
I also want to mention the leagues that are not in the top 25: 1008, 1014, 1017, and 1022. These are competitive leagues. For example, 1008 has no top 25 teams, but has 3 of the top 31 and 4 of the top 40. 1014 has 5 teams in the top 100, 1017 has 6 teams in the top 100, and 1022 has 4 teams in the top 70.

This shows how much movement a team can accomplish in a single week. We’ve added the current overall and the Overall Chg columns to show that a good week – or better still, more than one – can still affect the placement of our teams. A good week can still send us moving up the standings, and, as importantly, keep us there. Shoutout @wweiler for having the top score for Week 8 and being our only 200+ points scorer of the week. Good luck in Week 9! There are four teams on bye this week: Cleveland, New York Jets, Philadelphia, and Tampa Bay. We’ll miss at least two of those teams.
A not-so-brief word about RazzBowl7 post-Week 10: once our regular season ends, we have playoffs! How do they work?
Less boilerplate:
After Week 10, the top 3 teams from each division will advance to the Championship Tier of Round 1 of the playoffs, and the teams ranked 4-6 from each division will advance to the Wild Card Tier. In essence, the top 60 teams will be in the Championship Tier, and the teams ranked from 61-120 will be in the Wild Card Tier.
To the rest of us, we’ll thank you very much for playing in RazzBowl7 and hope you’ll join us for RazzBowl8.
From Weeks 11-13, teams in those tiers will accumulate a scoring average that will be added to the weekly scoring average from the regular season (Weeks 1-10).
At the end of Week 13, the top 30 of the Championship Tier will stay there for Round 2 in Week 14 and be joined by the top 6 from the Wild Card Tier. The bottom 30 of the Championship Tier will move to the Wild Card Tier, with the teams ranked 7-46 from the Wild Card Tier from Round 1.
The bottom 14 of the Round 1 Wild Card Tier will be eliminated.
