2013 RCL FootballAnother week and another W!  OK, so I’m a lot less proud of my 8-0 team after beating Tehol’s God Forgives I Don’t team that had two guys left in on byes.  God remembers bye weeks, and you don’t Tehol!  Everyone publicly smite him.  Because not only did he forget to check that team, but now you have to deal with me raving on about an 8-0 team and another step closer to winning RCL!  Shameful one of the wins was by 4 against underwear-chicken man, but a win is a win.  Like the Seahawks on Monday Night.  Whether it be a blown call by replacement refs or that miserable showing last night against the Rams, wins be wins. All 4 other 7-0 teams also won this week, so none of the unbeatens have fallen.  You can check out the full interactive 2013-2014 RCL Standings tab up under “Leagues” that shows you how you’re stacking up against your Razzball competitors in your journey to RCL glory.

RCL Top ScorerTOP SCORER: The top scorer through Sunday held out to be the top scorer this week – huge props to the Redeye Raiders for putting up a whopping 213 points this week in the Take On Jaywrong league.  Led by Megatron’s 50 and Brees’ 33, that 83 right there outscored a lot of RCL teams!  The win takes Redeye to 5-3 and third place in the league, taking down Dread Pirate Roberts who stays in second going from 6-1 to 6-2.  Climbing the rankings, Redeye!  But all roads lead to Yeshcheese and yet another win for one of the RCL’s elite undefeated teams.  Feels good up here, don’t it!  And wouldn’t you know it, Redeye after notching the highest RCL score will be playing Yeshcheese is a huge week 9 throwdown.  Congrats again to the Redeye Raiders!

Razzball Writers League – 8-0 baby!  You read the open, I won’t belabor.  Reign Maker$ led us in scoring with 168.36 points, no thanks to Rueben Randle who took his own personal bye week this past Sunday.  Riegn moves to 4-4.  I’ll look to go 9-0 against Guru’s The Dirty Turban’s this week, and I think my ride is coming to its last stop.  I’m ravaged with byes and injuries and may have to test the trade waters.  Going to be a tough week.

JB’s Random Commenter League – RCL hath been good doth me, as I move to 6-2 in my real RCL edging out a 5 point win and staying firm at second in the league.  No one can beat those Green Bastards though!  An easy win gets them to 7-1 and in first while On Cruuz Control led us in scoring with 160 points moving them to 4-4.  I don’t play the Bastards until week 12, but if our teams keep playing strong, that’ll be a big-un.

Take On Jaywrong 2 – Big week from the Pipe Hitters, who moved to 7-1 with 182 points led by Megatron’s 50-burger.  Have a feeling this will become a theme… Despite winning as well, Release the KRAKEN! fell from 1st to 2nd with Pipe’s big week.  Both teams will look to go to 8-1 before they face off in week 10 in what could be the league’s defining regular season game.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Wheeden – The BarkingBassetHounds topped the Wheedens this week, with roughly a third of his 161 points from Megatron.  The Hounds are also in our prestigious Razzball Elite Fantasy Basketball League, so if this 7-1 team that’s in first of this RCL is any indication, I better bring my A game!  The Hounds will go against Stan Gable in week 9 to try and keep ahold of first place.

Razzball Rebels – Slightly low scoring week in the Rebels league, as It’s like a circle gets the dreaded second-highest point total loss against the Pensacola HotPockets who led the league with 149 points led by Jordy to move to 4-4.  Poon Jab remains the class of the league moving to 7-1 and will have to take down the Sex Cannons in week 9 to stay with only one loss.

Monday Morning QB’s – Very low scoring in the MM QBs league, with the Killa Beez leading the league in scoring with 135 points.  The Beez move to 3-5 and 8th place while the kitchen stinks maintain the lead at 7-1 and faces 2nd place Stick’m for a huge midseason battle for playoff seeding.

Rancho Rajneesh – Cheeseburger Picnic had it their way this week with 173 points.  He was one of the 15% that started Marvin Jones and got his 44-point burger to lead him to #1 scoring.  But the big story is another big week from ReadOptionForDummies who remains with me at 8-0 and an unreal 1350 season total.  Things won’t be easy for the Dummies this week though, as the most wins yet in a matchup will be featured in the RCL game of the week: Mega Gronk SMASH! at 7-1 vs. the Dummies at 8-0 for a really saucy matchup.  I’m cheerin’ for ya SMASH!  I want to be the only undefeated standing!

Murphatron’s RCL – High points go to bhuck’s Fine Team who had a fine 150 points to move to 3-5 and 9th place.  The Feverish Beavers are the only team with more than 5 wins at 6-2 and looks to go to 7-2 against genosmith steakums in week 9.

The Shituation Room – Big week from the ManwichMen, who went all Longest Yard on One Potato Two with 165 points led by Andy Ginger Dalton.  Manwich moves to 6-2 and first in the league after Pops’s Team fell in an upset to the meat curtains.  Draw the curtains!  Ewwwwwwww.

Hernandez Hit Men – Scott’s Team brings home the bacon this week, with 168 led by the Megatron 50.  Scotty moves to 6-2 and 2nd in the league, but only a mere 32 points now out of first with the 6-1 Caballo squad suffering defeat and moving to 6-2 as well.

Pabst & Razz – Another league that was hit hard in scoring with the bye weeks, but Dez-ed and Confused was able to buck the trend and prevailed with 149 points led by Ellington and Jordy.  That’d be a good name for a pair of ragtag detectives that also moonlight as rag-time musicians!  NBC – call me.  Even with the win, and with a not horrific 3-5 record, Dez is still in last place with team Turrible staying in first at 6-2.

A League of RCL Thrones – Team Breezus played like Drew Brees this week, and led the Thrones in scoring with 154 points despite another terrible Tom Brady game.  Brady’s Bunch in the receiving game is playing more like Alice than Bobby (was that the sports one?  Haven’t seen that show in at least a decade).  Breezus moves to 4-4 while CreanNCrimson’s Team keeps a stronghold on the top spot in the league.

RCLBBWSVU – More Cowbells really rang Tio & The Fullbacks’ cowbell this week, in an utterly embarrassing 187.90-66.88 beat down.  Not that any line-up anyone would’ve fielded would’ve made much of a difference, but Tio has abandoned his team like Tehol has in the Writer’s League.  Cowbells moves to 4-4 while The Defenstrators win again to go to 6-2 and sole possession of first place.

My Wife Frowns Upon This – Humungous week from The Sanchize, who’s 203 points I think is more than yards Mark Sanchez ever threw in a game.  That’s got to be right.  An absolute elite RCL week as 200 is a really tough benchmark to top, and Sanchize did it with Megatron, Bush and Ellington.  Despite the huge week, Sanchize is still only in 4th, while One I’d Willy moves to 7-1 and leading the league.

Cracklin’ Brats RCL – Biggest week goes to Let’s Get Some Percy with 170 points led by Ellington and Flash Gordon.  “You’re putting the Percy on a pedestal!”  Percy is still only in 9th place though, while Go Pack leapfrogs Planet 10 with a win against them this week to move into 1st place.  Go Pack Go!

Bobby Boucher’s Water Bottle – Another team to work their way into RCL lore, Dougie Fresh’s Team narrowly eclipsed 200 with 200.34 points this week led by Megatron and Cam.  MegaCam!  Kinda like an Imax camera.  Wow, too film nerdy.  Anyway, Dougie has had one of the best seasons in RCL land with 1284 total points and a 7-1 record leading the league.  Keep it Fresh!

The Podcast Kingdom – My boys!  Will and the Pirates leading the Kingdom in points this week, with 161.56 led by Peyton and a very astute play of Kenny Stills.  Only 5% played – that’s why I love you guys!  Can’t wait to talk football next time I see ya.  The Pirates move to 5-3 and 3rd place, while team expletive and Public Enemy #1 sit at 1 and 2 with 7-1 records.

Nick’s Bad JB Impersonation – Despite a loss in the Shituation Room league, Pops brought it in JFOH’s league, rocking out with 182 points led by the epic Stafford/Megatron combo on his Pops’s Perfect Team squad.  Pops has the most points in the league, but with a 5-3 record is in 2nd to Blunts and Fortes who moves into first.

Any Given Sunday – Ohhhhh Sexy Suzy Kolber II… Couldn’t resist a moment of passion and caught a Stafford Infection… Hey, it could happen to anyone.  We saw the Cowboys defense collectively catch it too.  Did you see how far away they tried to stay from Stafford on the game-hinging play?  Sexy would’ve stayed in first at 7-1, but the loss vaults Jedi Mind Tricks into first with both teams at 6-2, while the best game this week came from the Horse Collars with 173 points moving them into 5th.

Booty Hunters Unlimited – The Street Sweepers narrowly edged out a 4 point win this week to stay in first place, while a huge week came from John Wayne Hernandez with 191 points to lead the league in scoring in back-to-back weeks.  Now in third, the Duke has the most points in the league and on a dangerous run.  He better throw his gun in a lake and have a separate apartment to hide ammo!

The Razzbro League – Girl Toy’s Team put up 166 points this week led by a Stafford right in her Bush.  Wow, too far JB, too far…  The Scotch Fueled Guru won yet again to move to 6-2 and will look to stay atop the league and beat the frat boys over at I think im AWESOME.

The Shadynastys – Big Blue’s Team… You just couldn’t pull through for me, could ya!?  You’re not my boy, Blue!  Hats off to Gtoxitis who stays undefeated at 8-0 and obviously atop the nastys League.  Kaepocalypse Now had the big scoring week with 169 points led by Megatron and moves to 9th, and Team Long will try to be the first team to knock out Gtox in week 9.

Razzball Experts League – C’mon, Nathan!  Nathan-RevelSports was unable to knock off the Rushmore Beekeepers despite a solid showing, with Rushmore going to 8-0.  Chad Scott – DLF had the high week in scoring with 156 points and Sky suffers another brutal loss by 1.6 points this week in what has been a very tough season.  We still love you Sky!  But next time I recap this league, I might wear a bag over my head…

One More RCL – Wow, three weeks in a row Jay Feely is my QB has led the league in scoring, with 158 points led by Peyton and Jordy.  Two straight big weeks from Harry Douglas has helped too.  You’re on a roll, Feely!  Despite the most points in the league, Feely is still only at 5-3, while Kobayashi Maru took out ‘Murica to stay at 7-1.  You just woke a sleeping giant, Maru!

Shoot your RCL smack talk below and thanks again for joining the RCL Football Leagues this year. Good luck in week 9!
