Here is the final mock draft with no projected trades involved. This is less about what teams SHOULD do and more about what these GM’s ARE LIKELY to do based on prior draft history. Hit up the comments section below and let me know what you think!

1). Cincinnati – Joe Burrow (QB – LSU)

2). Washington – Chase Young (EDGE – Ohio St)

3). Detroit – Derrick Brown (DT – Auburn)

4). NY GiantsIsaiah Simmons (LB – Clemson)

5). Miami – Justin Herbert (QB – Oregon)

There is too much noise about Miami favoring Herbert over Tua. Compound that with teams being unable to get medicals on Tua before the draft, and I can see Miami rolling with Herbert over Tua.

6). LA ChargersTua Tagovailoa (QB – Alabama)

With Tyrod Taylor as the bridge QB, the Chargers don’t have as much of a concern over whether Tua will be ready for Week 1 or not.

7). Carolina – Jeffrey Okudah (CB – Ohio St)

8). Arizona – Mekhi Becton (OL – Louisville)

9). Jacksonville – Javon Kinlaw (DT – South Carolina)

10). Cleveland – Jedrick Wills (OL – Alabama)

11). NY Jets – Tristan Wirfs (OL – Iowa)

WR Class has lots of talents on Day 2 and 3. OL group does not. NY does it’s best to keep Darnold upright.

12). Las Vegas – Henry Ruggs III (WR – Alabama)

13). San Francisco (from Indianapolis) – CeeDee Lamb (WR – Oklahoma)

14). Tampa Bay – Andrew Thomas (OL – Georgia)

15). Denver – Jerry Jeudy (WR – Alabama)

16). Atlanta – K’Lavon Chaisson (EDGE – LSU)

17). Dallas – Xavier McKinney (DB – Alabama)

18). Miami (from Pittsburgh) – Joshua Jones (OL – Houston)

19). Las Vegas (from Chicago) – Kristian Fulton (CB – LSU)

20). Jacksonville (from LA Rams) – Denzel Mims (WR – Baylor)

21). Philadelphia – Jalen Reagor (WR – TCU)

22). Minnesota (from Buffalo) – CJ Henderson (CB – Florida)

23). New England – Austin Jackson (OL – USC)

This is a weird spot for the Pats. I think they really believe in Stidham. Not sure Jordan Love is the type of QB they’d go after either.

24). New Orleans  – Justin Jefferson (WR – LSU)

25). Minnesota – Tee Higgins (WR – Clemson)

26). Miami (from Houston) – Jeff Gladney (CB – TCU)

27). Seattle – Yetur Gross-Matos (DE – Penn St)

28). Baltimore – Patrick Queen (LB – LSU)

29). Tennessee – Isaiah Wilson (OL – Georgia)

There’s smoke around this match and a hole on the Tennessee offensive line. A natural fit.

30). Green Bay – Brandon Aiyuk (WR – Arizona St)

31). San Francisco – Cesar Ruiz (iOL – Michigan)

32). Kansas City – Ross Blacklock (DT – TCU)

One of my favorite landing spots for Blacklock. Chris Jones being on a franchise tag leaves this position fluid for the Chiefs. Blacklock was dominant throughout the 2019 season.

As a pats fan I don’t hate that pick, now I’m hating the Harry pick in 2019 they could’ve had Justin Jefferson this year. I kind of want to see them get AJ Epenesa of Iowa or Austin Jackson or maybe they surprise everyone & get a QB

    • Reid

      Reid says:

It’s an awkward spot to say the least.

This should be a spot where you try and trade down, but who is somebody looking to move up for at 23?

I don’t buy into New Orleans going after Love.

  2. Water boy says:

Hey again Reid I thought you’d like this; I did research on the 23rd pick since 2009. Very iffy . To answer your first Q about if they trade up who to target is like either Tua (id be happier if they don’t trade up & just get him at 23), Justin Herbert, there’s zero chance Bill trades up for a WR. Now that I’m looking at it more. Maybe the pats trade from 23 to go to 27-31 & maybe draft LB Patrick Queen, Kenneth murray, O line help, or center Ruiz. Or if they don’t like the players on the board the trade out of round 1 get 2 round 2 picks ; I wan cole khemet of Norte Dame on the pats.

It’s though pats have so many needs; WR (Edelman is older, no doesett) , need a TE they can’t rely on Lacosse, etc going forward, QB, LB, DE. They are looking fine on RB they drafted Damien Harris last year. I still hope pats sign newton & there’s another rumor Chris hogan may return to the Pats

** 2016 instead of Treadwell who’s went after, Artie burns (pick 25), sterling shepherd (pick 40), xavien Howard (pick 38), Jaylen smith (pick 34), hunter henry (pick 35)

2009: Michael Oher to Baltimore, after that went : Vontae Davis (pick 25), clay Matthews (pick 26), Lenny Britt (pick 30), Hakeem nicks (pick 29)

** being a pats fan I feel this move in 2015 they selected Jordan Richards end of round 1 (pick 64). They could’ve drafted David Johnson there he went round 3 (pick 86)

Take DJ out here’s who else the pats could’ve had, if they didn’t trade Jordan Richards: Tyler lockett (pick 69), Tevin Coleman (pick 73),
