Look, it was either that or “Lockett the Vote”… The world could end later today, and then who’s going to ever know we watched a Monday Night Football game where stuff actually happened? I mean, there were first downs and touchdowns and remarkable levels of referee derp, it felt as if we watched “football” on a weekday for the very first time. You know, like the Madonna song. And while the broadcast served as a strong example of needing a national day of reflection on banning all political ads, both the Seahawks and Bills stepped up, showing everyone that two competing entities can come together and agree on something. In this case, it was agreeing not to play any defense. But if two teams can do that, maybe there is hope for us all… (so no matter what you believe and where you want us to go, you should #vote!)
Jimmy Graham – 8 REC, 103 YDS, 12.9 AVG, 2 TD, 18 LONG, 8 TGTS. That’s why I drafted Graham… last year :(.
Tyler Lockett – 1 REC, 17 YDS, 2 TGTS, and 1 CAR, 13 YDS, 13 LONG. I have no idea what’s going on here. Too much to process.
LeSean McCoy – 21 CAR, 85 YDS, 4.0 AVG, 15 LONG and 4 REC, 35 YDS, 8.8 AVG, 15 LONG, 5 TGTS. “Penetration all over the place.” What is the exact opposite of my college years for $1000, Alex?
Christine Michael – 5 CAR, 1 YDS, 0.2 AVG, 1 TD, 3 LONG. So, the Seattle offensive line is incapable of executing simple running plays now? How was Marshawn Lynch able to happen there? And is C.J. Prosise (3 CAR, 9 YDS, 3.0 AVG, 4 LONG and 1 REC, 6 YDS, 1 TGTS) the starting running back for Seattle now? No, I’m really asking. Because this whole thing is dumb.
Rex may get me vote for president he is good or could you imagine him with Trump even better would love to see it. I was mad as well seeing Sherman run into the kicker and smirk like he did nothing wrong thats what happens when you have a bunch of 80 year old refs. Anyway I traded CMIKE and Jordy for McCoy and Tate last week at first I was having second thoughts because of Jordy but after watching McCoy cut and juke and run so well last night compared to CMIKE I love this trade. I know 85 yards isnt great but against this D I will take it. Do you agree
@Brian: haha, pretty sure Chris Christie is a perfect standin. And yeah, I like the upside there, bold deal, but you have the ceiling.
Jay week 10 is my bye week hell. With Hilton, Moncrief and Cooper out I need to put together three WRs. Currently have Davante Adams and John Brown. Who should I try and pickup from waivers to fill my WR3 spot? Should I start any of these over Adams and Brown?
Tyler Lockett
Eli Rogers
Brandon LaFell
Dorial Green-Beckham
DaVante Parker
Terrance Williams
Thank you.
@Jedimasters:
12 team Standard league btw. Sorry forgot to mention that.
@Jedimasters: hmm, I think Adams would probably be the start there. Holding should be fine.
@Jay:
Jay sorry I wasn’t clear with my question. I need 3 WRs out of
Davante Adams
John Brown
Tyler Lockett
Eli Rogers
Brandon LaFell
DGB
DaVante Parker
Terrance Williams
@Jedimasters: Oh, I’d say Adams, Brown, and Lockett.
Cooks or M Thomas ROS? no ppr
Thx
@a bag of sand: cooks.
I asked you this last week but I’d be crazy not to give up Blount/CMike for Gordon/James White now right? Probably chasing points but still
@Brian: yeah, I’d do it. Gordon is legit.
Would you give TY and J Hill to get M Evans?
Current roster inc:
RB: D Johnson, L Murray, Quizz, C. West, J. Hill, Hightower
WR: AJ, TY, T Pryor, Ty Mont
10 tm standard
Thx
@a bag of sand: yeah, I like that deal.
@Jay: any other RB’s would you be willing to deal in place of Hill?
@a bag of sand: anyone but Johnson and Murray.
Drop McKinnon or Wright?
@Zandy: McKinnon.
Ivory, Bibbs, and Rawls are on my WW – can you rank them in terms of ROS (Half-PPR)
@MJP: Bibbs, then Ivory here I think.
who is more droppable
12tm .5 ppr
r mathews or d harris
@a bag of sand: Harris.
gore & pryor for latavius?
.5 ppr
@a bag of sand: I’d hold onto Pryor in PPR. I’d do Gore and something else though.
@Jay: Other options would be J. Matthews or Ty Montgomery (who I’d prefer to hold)
@a bag of sand: I’d prefer holding Ty there.
Looks like Rotoworld is pushing the Coates bandwagon – #2 WR add for them. Thinking of Coates or Meredith and dropping DuJuan Harris (if Hyde misses another week).
@William Hung: yeah, that’s fine.
Drop hooper for ertz or fiedorowics?
@Chunk: Ertz I’d say.
@Jay: sos un capo, che, gracias!!
@Chunk: de nada I think? Haha
@Jay: Maybe you could take some Advil?
@Scott: ha!
Hey Jay, doing rather well in my 10 team standard (7-2 in first), but need to do something with my WRs..
QB- Big Ben
WR- Marshall/Snead/D Adams
RB- D Johnson & Freeman
TE-Graham
Flex-L Murray
Bench- Dak, D Booker, R Jennings, Maclin, T Benjamin
K- Santos
D-AZ & LA
So I have some moves to make, dropping LA (unless you really like them against Jets while AZ has SF) & I can drop Jennings…
I think obvious pickup is Bibbs in-case Kubiak doesn’t give Booker another go. other waiver guys include J Nelson, Rish Matthews, Britt, Starks, K Dixon or Perkins… what are your moves & bids in FAAB (have 73$)?? Mind you I need a flex player this week & am not looking to use Maclin or T Benjamin.
Lastly, Goatkowski is on waivers due to his bye week. Do you bid a few bucks on him or stick with Santos? Thanks bud!
@Nick: FAAB post will be up soon, but in the mean time, I’d go Bibbs there for Jennings, and yeah, I’m fine switching up Santos.
@Jay: what’s the damage to snag Bibbs? Want to gauge if you think he will thwart Booker or if this timeshare might not be so great for 10teamer…
Also I’m going to have to drop 5-10 for Goatkowski is my guess. I suppose he is worth it since he is in a league of his own usually with opportunity….?
@Nick: Also who would be your next pickup considering I have 2 defense? Provided you don’t prefer LA over AZ this week…
@Nick: I think the whole thing is a mess, but is a fair enough hedge. I’d drop fivish on Goose, sure. I’m not chomping at the bit to get both though, so don’t be super aggressive.
@Jay: Which WR should I target, as I might want to plug & play them next week over D Adams or Snead v Denver…JJ Nelson v SF, Britt @ NYJ, Beasley @ PIT, Rish Matthews v GB?
@Nick: I suppose John Brown can be added to that list but I previously owned him…
@Nick: Probably Snead… but Britt might be close when I rank.
Bye week! Hooray! Need two WRs out of C.Coleman, Coates, John Brown, and J.J. Nelson. Meredith also available on the wire.
@BrownL: Am leaning Coleman and Nelson. QB play in Pittsburgh, Chicago worrisome for me.
@BrownL: Wait, I mentioned bad QB situation and didn’t mention Cleveland. Deleting my account.
@BrownL: haha, no worries.
@BrownL: probably Coleman and Coates there.
I could use a little more WR help in my .5 ppr league. Guy wants my Dion Lewis for his Jarvis Landry. I’d prefer to trade him Blount, but he wants Lewis.
Currently my RBs are D Johnson, Blount, Matthews, Bernard and Lewis and WRs at D Thomas, Maclin, T Williams and Moncrief.
@DiRo: I think that’s fair, I’d do it.
Rank these guys Rest of Season: Hopkins, A-Rob, Marshall, Marvin Jones, Crabtree
@Tony: That’s pretty much my order.
@Jay: Crabtree at the bottom? Really?
@Tony: when I take everything into account, and going forward, yeah. I’m counting on Hopkins and ARob rebounding too, no small feat.
@Jay: OK, got another Q then, I’ll make a new comment
@Tony: i’d be more worried about marv jones’ floor than crab’s.
For RB, I have Lamar, Ware, Mathews, Gore, Stewart
For WR, I have Hopkins, A-Rob, Marshall, Marvin Jones, Crabtree.
I’m 5-4 with this core (Brady and Reed too). Good team, but struggling to get in. Looking to package 1 of each for an Evans or Zeke. Something game-changing
Keeper League, Standard 12-team, for the record
What’s the best trade offer Jay?
@Tony: I think Zeke might be off the the table here, but maybe ask the team for who they like? For Evans, I think maybe Gore and Hopkins or Arob is enough.
@Tony: maybe even try Crabtree there too
Hey man,
Would you take David Johnson and Marvin Jones for your Devonta Freeman and Amari cooper ?
My team:
0.5 PPR, h2h
QB: Brees
WR: Montgomery , kelvin
RB: Elliot , Freeman
TE: Kelce
Flex: Booker, yeldon
K: vinateri
DEF: Carolina
Bench: Amari cooper (BYE), Sammie Coates, Corey Coleman, bibbs (handcuff to Booker since that situation is murky), Morris (elliot handcuff)
IR: Watkins
@Josh-NYC: yeah, I’d want Johnson there.
Hey Jay man!
Crazy it’s already week 10!
I’m last on the waiver order due to my record
Who should be my first waiver priority zach Miller by dropping Rudolph.
Or Kenneth farrow (I own Melvin Gordon & I was thinking of cuffing farrow for the stretch run)
Next , I can’t make any waiver claims since I have a player on IR slot who’s upgraded to questionable; that player is Starks
Thinking of just dropping Starks. Thoughts?
My RBs: DJ, Gordon, Jeremy hill, Paul Perkins, Bibbs, andre Ellington.
Besides that I don’t have big waiver Q’s this week.
Here are other TEs I could put a claim for Ertz, and lance kendricks other TEs I wouldn’t touch
I also do have Witten , I could just go Witten ROS or use either my Rudolph or go with Ertz, Miller or kendricks for the match ups between Witten
Thanks again!
@Timmmay: Yo! Yeah, simple handcuff there is fine. Starks is an okay drop, that Packers running game is going to be in flux all year. And you have the depth too. I’d lean just holding on Rudolph though.
@Jay: m
Thanks bud!
@Timmmay: any time!
1. 20 team PPR redraft. grab any of gabriel/rawls over any of my people
RB (2) du harris/kelley/l.bell/booker/langford
WR (3) jeffrey/s.smith/lee/jj nelson/t.smith
TE jimmer G/clay
1 flex
QB rivers/glennon (would attempt petty but he has the same MF’ing bye as rivers)
as far as TE’s out there only backups and…… l.green.
2. add green over clay? might have to be now as there’s teams in bad shape TE wise and i’m somewhat surprised he’s not been added yet.
standard league dynasty
RB (2) booker/zeke/morris/d-will (PIT)/lewis
TE fleener/j.thomas
3. drop anybody for rawls/sproles/bibbs (lock down DEN)
4. with TE being ertz/miller/pitta/green flip out j.thomas for any of these?
@Montezuma’s Revenge…right now: yeah, I think Green over Clay there. I think Langford for Bibbs would work. ANd hold on JT I think.
@Jay: and hold d.will (PIT) over bibbs/rawls/sproles in #3
@Montezuma’s Revenge…right now: oops, and in #1 (20 team PPR redraft) bibbs is owned, only available guys are rawls/gabriel (could be over langford there though). bibbs got crossed up from the 20 PPR to the 12 standard redraft. i myself mixed up in the 20 team, i have those RB, except i have howard/langford and NOT booker in that one. clay/langford are the weak links, it appears d-will (PIT) is the weak one in the 12 team standard dynasty.
@Montezuma’s Revenge…right now: Probably not Rawls. I’m kinda wanting to see if he enters into the picture. He almost has to at this point.
@Jay: ok, so still hold langford over rawls (as howard owner) in the 20.
@Montezuma’s Revenge…right now: yeah, that makes sense.
best QB of the week, luck out:
flacco vs CLE
cutler @ TB
semian @ NO
wentz vs ATL
kaepernicking @ ARI
2. deeper league:
same guys except subtract flacco/kaep and add a.smith @ CAR
@Beware the Shit Rope: based on the list, probably has to be Cutler vs Flacco. Leaning Cutler there. And for 2, I’d say stick with Cutler.
not sure if you missed my follow-up question about WR above or just haven’t gotten back here yet, either way, rather than write up the question again, have a look…was looking to find a WR for this week among peasants…
@Nick: Sure, thing, I think I went Snead there.
you still have parker highish or no ROS in PPR? industry (at least those who have somewhat recent ROS WR PPR rankings) is mostly souring; i suppose 2 big things being MIA finally giving constant carries to RB’s (about 4 years late, and i think 3 regimes) and parker being hurt all year.
@The Harrow: Those ROS will be updated later this week. But yeah, I agree with what you’re saying. I always thought Landry was the guy regardless.
@Jay: the ajayinstantiation has hurt those secondary MIA WR (as if they ever had any TE usage) more than anything. and of course tannehill thinking he’ll ever get 40 attempts ever again.
@The Harrow: Yeah, very good points here.
for booker owners who also have mccoy and any possibly useful KC RB, better off with d.harris or bibbs? team is 8-1 and can lose some games in short term.
@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6,000 for you to go bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: oops, ivory/perkins also out there if either are better than d.harris ROS.
@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6,000 for you to go bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: Hmm, probably Perkins right now. Could change, but it looks like they are as tired of Jennings as I am.
@I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6,000 for you to go bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail: I’d probably say Bibbs here. I’m not convinced of Booker.
yep, like i said 2 years ago, these things would in some shape or form lead to anybody h.clinton in 2016 winning.
1. any party that just finished a 2 term loses to other party, doesn’t matter who (see clinton, bush part 2 etc), this is just a general rule for any persons running, party incumbency is actually a negative after 2 terms, it’s inverse momentum.
2. no small part of people who vote demo or voted obama won’t vote for a woman in amurica, i’ll stick with saying EVER on this one. this ain’t europe here people, we keep that pimp hand strong.
at least one poll showing upwards of 10% of obama voters having trumped themselves this time, and upwards of 5% of people who actually support obama’s own policies trumped themselves (this 2nd is very odd unless we bring in point 2 above)
@Mordacious Levator: that should read “anybody but”
@Mordacious Levator: it’ll be funnier though (re: not good funny) if we have the 6th or however many time in which the pop vote winner loses. it doesn’t appear yet that that is the case though. always love how they explain in school about how votes not being 1=1 makes any kind of sense.
@Mordacious Levator: almost forgot, wow, dems thought they could just shut out the guy who actually had support enough to win while thinking they’d win easily anyway. great stuff on that. good thing i have little pigment though, as my laugh would have a decidedly different tone to it while i’m sitting in a cage somewhere, or maybe building a prison on my daily hours out of it in the next coming years.
i’m quite sure those numbers of people who “support obama’s policies and/or voted for him” that voted for trump are dwarfed by the sanders voters who simply refused to vote or voted for some other third party.
@Mordacious Levator: I’m sure a lot of mistakes were made. Stuff like this doesn’t really affect me, I’m a single white (half-white, but it’s enough in this world) male, with a piece of property that’s already paid for, doing this website plus a small business. To be totally honest, a Trump presidency would actually be good for me if I’m looking at this simply from my own perspective. But, you know, I vote the way I want to see the United States and the World, and unfortunately for me, Trump see’s it differently. I’ll survive the next four years just find and dandy, but many won’t. And that’s the part that saddens me.
@Jay: i’m in same boat as you, except for the property/razzball/small business ownership part. and all white, but live in an area (and always have) where i’d have to be a LOT more insulated than i see being possible to not see the actual way it is for pigmented folks in urban/semi-urban areas in midamerica.
one positive, it’s nice that i’ll stop being extorted by the IRS for not having health insurance here soon (except if i was about to have something possibly expensive checked out, which i should do at some point).
reading somewhere that the main voting blocks that lost this one were 2:
1. urban areas back to voting %’s pre-Obama levels (re: low as shit, esp in PHI/DET, which were quite important states for dems)
2. white uneducated women threw LARGE numbers different than obama years to trump. pretty much the same kind of people that actually allow words like “slut” (and the entire mindset of a women acting that way to be a negative thing) to have major effects in the culture.
– and apparently it’ll ONLY be the FIFTH time that the pop vote winner loses anyway (albeit twice this century in 2/5th of them). and, to be fair (other than luck of course) if you can win a presidency while losing the pop vote your party’s infrastructure beat the shit out of the other side strategically.
@Mordacious Levator: Yeah, a big part is gerrymandering at the county level, but it’ll be interesting in the future. Georgia and Texas are getting closer to flipping, along with every single coast state after a few cycles more. The actual map could look something like this in about 12 years: http://www.270towin.com/maps/gvkYV, in which case, the GOP will have huge issues in the Senate and Presidency.
@Jay: remember them telling us in politics classes in college that zoning/gerrymandering like 75% or more of it in total.
@Jay: i didn’t realize georgia had that many people in it. would’ve thought oregon and them be closer (albeit i’ve not been there)
12 team where i’m kicking ass in points and record (8-1, only lost a week where i punted adding a kicker or D when they both had byes at same time) 1 QB/2 RB / 3 WR no flex
QB brees/stafford
RB both PIT guys, both currently useful WAS guys (not jones), d.harris, howard
WR hopkins, marv jones, cobb, hilton, t.williams (SD)
TE jimmy
K tucker
D RAMS
RES slot D.lewis (clearly d.harris is the drop for him)
RAMS schedule during our playoffs is pretty freakin’ awful at least till the finals (vs ATL in week 14, @ SEA in 15, bad week 13 last season week too @ NE)
somebody got cute and just dropped PHI (best D in football by outsiders, albeit 2 lesser fantasy weeks last 2), their playoff schedule is vs WAS, @ BAL, vs NYG.
other possible matchups for weeks 14-16 being
14:
TEN vs DEN
ATL @ LA
CHI @ DET
MIA vs ARI
15:
BUF vs CLE
NYG vs DET
ATL vs SF
WAS vs CAR
MIA @ NYJ
16:
TEN @ JAX
should i go about dropping RAMS for PHI now, or dropping a RB for maybe PHI, or one of ATL or MIA or BUF for playoff week help? ATL isn’t great (23rd actual D) but their first 2 playoff week matchups are as good as they get.
@Bull in a Chinese Restaurant: ATL having awesome matchups could end up like with NYJ and their awesome matchups that they’ve yet to to anything good with thus far though.
@Bull in a Chinese Restaurant: I don’t trust ATL as much here.
@Bull in a Chinese Restaurant: Yeah, I ‘d want PHI there, the matchup looks pretty sublime.
@Jay: just shit can LA (awesome NYJ matchup this week, ) or drop a RB for PHI if i can waiver them?
PHI gets (before playoffs start) :
vs ATL
@ SEA
vs GB
@ CIN
LA:
@ NYJ (this week)
vs MIA
then a bunch of terrible matchups before week 16 finals (vs SF)
i could drop d.harris (assuming d.lewis doesn’t come off PUP till after the night of the 10th, and nfl.com isn’t fast with losing tags) and later drop LA or another RB.
Perkins or Prosise more value ROS?
@a bag of sand: I’d say Perkins.
Good morning, Jay!
I’ve been wheelin’ & dealin’ for the last few weeks getting ready for the playoffs. I’m 1 game out of first and top scorer in a 12 team ppr. Start 3WR 2RB Flex Current Roster is :
Brady
D Murray/McCoy/Forte/Dion Lewis
AJ Green/Julio/Evans/B Marshall/Coleman/Hurns/JJ Nelson/Montgomery
Walker/Ladarius
I’m shipping Forte/Marshall/Coleman/Montgomery For Zeke
It’s pretty bold, and I have to hold out hope that nobody goes down, but everyone stays healthy and it’s a monster to overcome. Whaddya think?
@jayhawks24: Yo! I like the boldness, I’m fine with the trade. I always aim for consolidating at this point in the season.
.5 ppr league
Who would you rather have on your bench out of this bunch?
Chris Ivory, Eli Rogers, Rishard, Dejuan Harris, Prosise, S Shepard, and R Woods
thanks man! DeMarco with the late bye I might be leaning RB, thoughts?
@ryanoger: I would rather have Shepard, but since Murray is out for a week on the bye, maybe Ivory is wiser.
@Jay:
I have Bibbs, Dixon, T Coleman, Latavius, and Jacquizz…
With Doug Martin back this week…Should I lose Jacquizz to add Ivory and I actually own Eli Rogers should I lose him to add Shepard then?
thanks jay!
@ryanoger: \
for what it’s worth too forgot to add i have Dion Lewis as well…
@ryanoger: I think hold on Lewis there.
@ryanoger: Yeah, I’d do both there.
Need to bench one WR this week. Leaning Coleman.
J Nelson, J Matthews, M Thomas, or Corey Coleman
Which RB do I bench? Leaning M Jones.
D Lewis or M Jones
@m1chael: Yeah, Leaning Coleman and Jones maybe. Lewis is interesting, I want to wait a bit more. Still working on rankings, but that might be where he lands.
4-5 now in my 12 team std league
Eli/Carr
Hopkins Jeffrey
Gurley Ware
JStew
Graham
Bench: Cobb Ingram Hightower Montgomery Wright Watkins
Trade deadline this week
Send Montgomery (WR/RB) for Tate, ESanders or Snead?
@Zandy: I’d go Sanders, but Tate is enticing. Close one.
@Jay: but you think it’s a move I should make?
@Zandy: Yeah, I think so.
@Jay: he countered with JStew for his sanders?
Or try for Montgomery for Tate instead?
@Zandy: Just straight up? I think it’s okay in this case. I’d try Ty for Tate a bit more.
which two would u try to send for demarco?
Montmgery + (Ingram or JStew)?
@Zandy: Jstew. Also, sorry for the long wait, recorded a podcast and then got distracted.
@Jay: dude no prob!
@Zandy: Word!
@Jay: would you do JStew and Montgomery for Melvin?
@Zandy: I would, yeah. Melvin’s a number one this year.
@Jay: aside from Mintgomery, would you send any 2 of these for Gordon?
JStew Ingram Gurley?
dynasty PPR hold mathews or grab one of perkins/bibbs/drake?
If you had Evans, Bryant, and Brandin Cooks, who would you add for the playoffs starting in week 14? My choices might be Humphries, Baldwin, or Wallace. Could you rank the last three? Thanks for taking your time to consider this.
stat corrections came thru.. lost last week by 0.6 so it was even closer…. nothing like putting up 130+ in std and losing……….
