I know Beckham’s one handed super catch has gotten more attention than humanly possible this week, but the Stats Machine still wanted to give him a shout out.
Hidden Rupees Category 1: Best of the Rest (Weekly)
These are the players that are owned in less than approximately 85% of most leagues that were top performers based on last week’s stats.
Running Back: C.J. Anderson (35.45 SAV)
Two weeks ago C.J. Anderson was The Stats Machine’s top running back. Last week he was the runner up. This week he has climbed back to the top to become The Stats Machine’s player of the week. Carrying the ball 27 times for 167 yards and a touchdown, C.J. Anderson has officially become the next big thing in the world of Denver Broncos running backs. He also had 4 catches on 4 targets for another 28 yards, totaling 195 total yards from scrimmage. I said it two weeks ago and I’ll say it again today, “Can’t get a BJ, get yourself a CJ.” That’s me quoting me. Honorable Mention (Isaiah Crowell 20.5)
Wide Receiver: Robert Woods (28.2 SAV)
This week Robert Woods had the goods to claim the top spot for wide receivers by catching 9 of 11 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown. Do you know what all of his fantasy owners had last week? Woods! Honorable Mention (Jarvis Landry 26.8)
Tight End: Tim Wright (22.55 SAV)
The price is Wright bitch! With 5 receptions on 6 targets for 36 yards and 2 touchdowns Tim Wright out shined Rob Gronkowski in New England and has likely tempted many fantasy owners this week. The Stats Machine doesn’t believe he can be trusted from week to week, so you’re better off leaving him on the wire. It can’t be wrong when it feels so Wright. Honorable Mention (Brent Celek 18.2)
Hidden Rupees Category 2: Best of the Best (Weekly)
These are the best performing players based on last week’s stats regardless of percentage owned.
Running Back: C.J. Anderson (35.45 SAV)
See above… Honorable Mention (Matt Forte 32.65, Eddie Lacy 32.05)
Wide Receiver: Demaryius Thomas (39.5 SAV), Odell Beckham Jr. (38.4 SAV)
Thomas and friends were at it again this week scoring 39 points to beat the Miami Dolphins. Catching 10 of 13 targets for 87 yards and 3 touchdowns, Demaryius Thomas was responsible for 21 of those 39 points. Thomas currently leads the NFL with 1,192 receiving yards, but with 9 touchdowns this season he is actually not the Thomas with the most touchdowns in the league or Denver. That honor would go to Julius Thomas.
As miserable as the New York Football Giants have been, there has been one bright spot. Odell Beckham Jr! Aside from his ridiculous one handed touchdown catch, he had another 9 catches totaling 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. Can someone get Odell and yodel. Do they still make yodels? Are they the same thing as a ho-ho?
Tight End: Delanie Walker (25.55 SAV)
Walk this way! The Titans had to be pleased with Walker’s 5 catches for 155 yards. While a touchdown would have made the performance even better, it was still enough to claim the top tight end title. Welcome back Delanie. Honorable Mention (Jimmy Graham 24.05)
Sorry for the short post this week, but you can thank Thanksgiving…
