I know Beckham’s one handed super catch has gotten more attention than humanly possible this week, but the Stats Machine still wanted to give him a shout out.

Hidden Rupees Category 1: Best of the Rest (Weekly)

These are the players that are owned in less than approximately 85% of most leagues that were top performers based on last week’s stats.

Running Back: C.J. Anderson (35.45 SAV)

Two weeks ago C.J. Anderson was The Stats Machine’s top running back. Last week he was the runner up. This week he has climbed back to the top to become The Stats Machine’s player of the week. Carrying the ball 27 times for 167 yards and a touchdown, C.J. Anderson has officially become the next big thing in the world of Denver Broncos running backs. He also had 4 catches on 4 targets for another 28 yards, totaling 195 total yards from scrimmage. I said it two weeks ago and I’ll say it again today, “Can’t get a BJ, get yourself a CJ.” That’s me quoting me. Honorable Mention (Isaiah Crowell 20.5)

Wide Receiver: Robert Woods (28.2 SAV)

This week Robert Woods had the goods to claim the top spot for wide receivers by catching 9 of 11 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown. Do you know what all of his fantasy owners had last week? Woods! Honorable Mention (Jarvis Landry 26.8)

Tight End: Tim Wright (22.55 SAV)

The price is Wright bitch! With 5 receptions on 6 targets for 36 yards and 2 touchdowns Tim Wright out shined Rob Gronkowski in New England and has likely tempted many fantasy owners this week. The Stats Machine doesn’t believe he can be trusted from week to week, so you’re better off leaving him on the wire. It can’t be wrong when it feels so Wright. Honorable Mention (Brent Celek 18.2)

Hidden Rupees Category 2: Best of the Best (Weekly)

These are the best performing players based on last week’s stats regardless of percentage owned.

Running Back: C.J. Anderson (35.45 SAV)

See above… Honorable Mention (Matt Forte 32.65, Eddie Lacy 32.05)

Wide Receiver: Demaryius Thomas (39.5 SAV), Odell Beckham Jr. (38.4 SAV)

Thomas and friends were at it again this week scoring 39 points to beat the Miami Dolphins. Catching 10 of 13 targets for 87 yards and 3 touchdowns, Demaryius Thomas was responsible for 21 of those 39 points. Thomas currently leads the NFL with 1,192 receiving yards, but with 9 touchdowns this season he is actually not the Thomas with the most touchdowns in the league or Denver. That honor would go to Julius Thomas.

As miserable as the New York Football Giants have been, there has been one bright spot. Odell Beckham Jr! Aside from his ridiculous one handed touchdown catch, he had another 9 catches totaling 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. Can someone get Odell and yodel. Do they still make yodels? Are they the same thing as a ho-ho?

Tight End: Delanie Walker (25.55 SAV)

Walk this way! The Titans had to be pleased with Walker’s 5 catches for 155 yards. While a touchdown would have made the performance even better, it was still enough to claim the top tight end title. Welcome back Delanie. Honorable Mention (Jimmy Graham 24.05)
Sorry for the short post this week, but you can thank Thanksgiving…

    Tre Mason or Gio in a 1PPR league?

    Really like Tre’s matchup but Gio’s got upside, esp in PPR

      @dirtyd: It’s close. I’d probably go with Bernard. While Oakland is pretty bad against the run, Mason hasn’t scored more than 14.5 points in a game in my 1 point PPR league.

    So just tryin this for the first time wanna know something I saw your ROS rankings and want to know who to keep for ROS. SO Steven Hauschka or Justin Tucker, It seems like the Hawks kick more field goals then the Ravens what is you opinion thanks! Also ROS larry Donnell or Jordan Cameron

      @ThGreatKyle: I’d take Tucker. Hauschka has 2 more attempts than Tucker. They have both only missed 3. All 3 of Tucker’s have been from over 50 yards. He’s money on anything under 50.

    Hey Malamoney, for WR3 should I go K Allen or M Bryant? NON-PPR

      @Nick: I’m leaning towards Martavis.

    so many around here say “New York Football Giants”. is there another New York Giants team such that somebody would get confused if you didn’t add the “football” part?

    quick response would be appreciated with a no waivers league…rudolph or reed as backup to witten in a 10-team non-ppr?

    So I have Andre Ellington as my rb 2 and he is down with an injury pending injury if out would you pick up his backup and start him I would have to drop Charles Sims to do so or start Fred Jackson until Ellington comes back. or both drop Sims for Ellington backup and start fax thx

    Hey Malamoney, thanks again for the advice, I wrecked my opponent 144-68 this week in my $500 pot league…10-3 in this 10-team non-ppr & I face the #3 next week while the #2 plays the #4 (funny how that worked on for last week of regular season). Here is my roster & questions;

    QB-Rodgers
    RB-Murray & R Jennings
    WR-Cobb, Beckham & K Allen
    TE-Witten
    Flex-Ingram
    K-Tucker
    D-ST Louis
    Bench-R Mathews, L Murray, McKinnon, Reed, Sanu, M Bryant

    1) Drop M Bryant for A Williams in case Jennings is hurt next week or role with my other backups if Jennings is out at all?
    2) Other free agents include D Adams, Charles Johnson, H Douglas (don’t think any of those guys are worth a stash for end of season, right?)
    3) Defenses available are Minn, Denver, Cincy, NE..but I definitely can roll out ST Louis against Washington next…then its Arizona for first week of playoffs…hold for now in 10-team or plan ahead?

    THANKS Brotha!

      @Nick:

      1) I’d drop Sanu or McKinnon over Martavis to pickup Williams.
      2) Sanu has been good this season, but at this point I’d lump him in with Adams and Johnson
      3) I like NE against the Jets in week 16

      • Nick says:
        (link)

        @malamoney: I’m leaning toward dropping McKinnon with his matchups against the Jets, @ Detroit & then @ Miami…is that the right move?

        Since I’m carrying 3RB & 2WR on my bench (& only starting 2RB+1Flex) makes sense to drop an RB….BUT, I’d think having a starting RB in McKinnon would be better on bench than maybe Sanu who has just dropped off the map for a 10-team…ahhhh I’m SPLIT!

        • malamoney

          malamoney says:
          (link)

          @Nick: McKinnon didn’t even play this weekend and I don’t like his matchups going forward. I dropped him last week to stash a defense for the playoff run.

  8. Nick says:
    (link)

    @malamoney: Gotcha, so in a 10-team, its probably not as pertinent to carry extra defenses heading into playoffs, right? (although the #4 team is carrying 3 defenses! (Detroit/Miami/Baltimore)

    A Williams is more important handcuff to Jennings than D, right? (especially next week, although I could start Mathews or L Murray in place of Jennings if necessary)

    • Nick says:
      (link)

      @Nick: Done. Dropped McK for A Williams.

      Now question is, next week do you risk K Allen against NE..or go with Sanu or M Bryant?

        @Nick: Ask me again later in the week when I have some time to run the numbers…

        • Nick says:
          (link)

          @malamoney: Will do, thanks

    • malamoney

      malamoney says:
      (link)

      @Nick: I am in 2 leagues. In one I have Houston, New England and Tennessee. On the other I have Indy, Buffalo, San Fran and KC. I am all lined up for the playoffs. While this was at the expense of my bench, I am hoping not to have multiple catastrophic injuries in the next 3 weeks.

      If Jennings is out, and I have no idea what is going on with him, then Williams will have value. But if you are not going to start Williams then that value is useless to you…

      • Nick says:
        (link)

        @malamoney: Hmm, thanks for some defenses to look into for weeks 15/16 but for now in a 10-team, I will roll out St Louis and make up my mind about week 15 at end of week 14!

    So I have Andre Ellington as my rb 2 and he is down with an injury pending injury if out would you pick up his backup and start him I would have to drop Charles Sims to do so or start Fred Jackson until Ellington comes back. or both drop Sims for Ellington backup and start fax thx

      @Dom B: question

    • malamoney

      malamoney says:
      (link)

      @Dom B: What’s a questiom? Just kidding…

      I do not know the latest on Ellington. Arizona goes up against some tough defenses going forward so I am not sure how much I’d want to start the Cardinals backup. So I’d be going with Fred Jackson.
