I usually write this while I watch Monday Night Football. But I will not be watching MNF. I will not watch the Saints until they put in Jameis Winston. It’s been sad watching the box score through the first half. I don’t understand the Taysom Hill plays, I don’t understand the dedication to Drew Brees. I guess New Orleans could be a destination for Dak Prescott when he’s healthy, eh? After not being able to reach a deal with Dallas in the offseason and suffering an unfortunate gruesome injury, I would be surprised if Dak signs in Dallas on anything team friendly. Jerry Jones has given Dak the runaround on a new contract the last two offseasons while Dak is just trying to get a fair deal in an ever changing market. If you look at the deals that Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson received, Dak wanting 40 million per year wasn’t so crazy after all. The fantasy market is changing at a much more rapid pace than the quarterback market, so let’s get to the buys and sells for week 6.

Ronald Jones

This might be your last chance to get Tampa Bay’s best running back at a fair price. Jones has back to back 100 yard games but it hasn’t lead to extreme fantasy success because he has been shut out in the touchdown department. Well, he scored a touchdown last week, but the terrible officiating took it away. Leonard Fournette was even active last week and I only saw him on the field for a kneel down to end the first half.

Anyways, these Ronald Jones performances are going to keep happening. I’ve been telling anyone who will listen that he is actually really good. Running back is really important in Tampa this season. The offensive attack is much more balanced with Brady under center.

Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett is coming off of back to back weeks with five or fewer targets. DK Metcalf is an exceptional wide receiver, but there is room for more than one sheriff this season in Seattle. The excitement of Lockett’s 3-TD game a few weeks ago has long since passed. Lockett’s price will also take a hit because Seattle is on a bye week in week 6. With injuries and Covid, your league mates could be desperate just to field their starting lineup with active players. Tyler Lockett is going to bounce back in a big way. The Seattle schedule is full of soft passing defenses after their bye.

Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor is making a back to back appearance in this column because I feel like there is still a buy opportunity here. Taylor is 15th in rushing yards and outside of the top 10 in rushing touchdowns. For now. Last week I mentioned the favorable schedule that he has coming up. I mentioned that the Browns were tough to run against, but Taylor still found room, averaging almost 5 yards per carry. He did this with Anthony Castonzo out with a rib injury. That was a massive loss for the Colts offensive line this past week. But I’m assuming that he will be back soon. Philip Rivers has been terrible and there is hardly any talent in the receiving corps. Indy will have to lean on the talent of JT.

James Robinson

James Robinson has carved out a great role for himself in Jacksonville, but unfortunately, I believe that Jacksonville is starting to slip into the team that we thought they would be heading into the season. For James to live up to his perceived value, he would have to keep scoring touchdowns. Robinson hasn’t found the end zone in two weeks because Jacksonville is not a good offense. But, you can still sell the touches for an RB2 price.

Lamar Jackson

I love Lamar Jackson. I love what he’s done for the game and I love the excitement that he has brought to it. But, he is another player who’s perceived value is higher than his actual value. Fantasy wise, that is. Jackson hasn’t produced at the ridiculous pace that he did in 2019 and he is already a little banged up. Jackson is going to have some big games, which is why I think you can get a nice bundle for him if you are struggling to fill out your lineup with talent at other positions. There are good streaming options out there each week, so if you are in need of a shakeup, selling Jackson could be a good start.Â
