Well, this is it, the Fantasy Football playoffs are here. Not much else to say, except good luck. We’re obviously shutting down some of our content, but you don’t have to worry about me. I’m here for… uh, life probably, now that I think of it. That’s either the greatest thing ever or the worst. But it’s definitely a first-world something. But to the point, even though we’re minimizing our footprint, to be super metaphorical, the site will still provide rankings all the way to the Super Bowl, and I’ll still be around to answer any and all questions for those of you seeking that sweet-sweet championship. Speaking of which, let’s get the day started…
Rudy’s updated projections for Week 13 can be found by clicking here. And as always, my updated rankings are available after the jump!
Select the “Flex” tab if you need a more complete picture to decide your starts and sits. Use the “OP” tab for 2QB Leagues. And you can access our Half PPR and PPR rankings using the drop down box in the top left of our rankings when you select the RB, WR, TE, or Flex positions. Any and all questions will be answered below…
Hightower, Dixon or Smallwood? I know Dixon is in the up-and-up, but I’m not sold on the BAL run game. I’m loosing Hightower this week. You agree?
@Mike: I think you go Hightower there, but the whole Ingram things scares me. Dixon is safer though, but I think I’m with you here.
Good morning! In a 10-team standard league, I must win to be in the playoffs. We start 2RB/2WR/Flex and have roster limits (no more than 5 at each position). My RBs are Miller, Ware, Smallwood, Booker, Dixon. My WRs are Michael Thomas, Moncrief, Watkins, Pryor, A-Rob. I am wondering who to start, and also, if it matters, my opponent needs to pick up a WR and I could pick one up to play this week or just as a defensive maneuver but would have to drop one of mine. Options include A. Boldin (Marvin Jones looks out and is who my opponent has), Innman, Malcolm Mitchell, and M. Wilson. I’m not sure I’d normally drop anyone for one of these, but I happen to like them today and next week may not even matter. I was thinking A-Rob might be the one to drop given he plays, Broncos, Vikings, and Texans. Thanks!
@Randy: I think you go Miller and Booker, Thomas and Moncrief, and I’d probably keep ARob around.
12 team standard league. Who should I start in the flex? Hopkins, T Hill or Hightower? Thanks!
@Hometown Heroes: I’m thinking Hopkins, as sad as that sounds.
Hey Jay must win for me I need to pick 2 out of these 4 (PPR) – Dion Lewis, James Starks, Hightower, Garçon who do you like? Could also pickup Malcolm Mitchell over one so 2 out of 5 I guess lol
Thanks!
@Dave: I like Hightower, but Starks is close behind. I’m more willing to trust the Saints running game, as crazy as that sounds.
Hey jay! Top of the morning to you! .5 ppr league would this be too crazy to start moncrief over Hopkins at WR then Powell at Flex where moncrief is originally? Or just leave as is with Hopkins & moncrief at the flex?
I see in your rankings dolphins & Chargers D’s are close but how close are they ? Looking for upside at D: I’m facing broncos D lol, I also also debating between raiders D & Bucs D too
Thanks in advance!
@Teddyy: Mornin man! I think they’re close enough to do that, but I’d rather put Hopkins in your flex and bench Powell. If you’re looking for upside, go Chargers. Box, Ingram, and Heyward have been making some huge plays.
Hey bud!
Clinched 1st seed and pts Title in my 12 teamer! Basically have 2 weeks off now ????????
Just one roster question this week. Am I’m bonkers for wanting to drop Landry to add Malcolm Mitchell? I hate the Dolphins and what they’ve done to Landry. Can’t even stand having him rostered anymore, too frustrating.
.5 PPR
Curent Roster:
Brady, Ryan, Kap
Zeke, Gordon, Sproles, Morris
Pryor, Moncrief, Diggs, Watkins, Landry
Reed, Enron
Bills Packers
@MiggY Cat:
We have to start 3 WRs btw
@MiggY Cat: Congrats! It isn’t bonkers. I think if you’re looking for upside, it’s a fine move.
Ingram likely to play. I need 2 of these: Ingram, Hightower, D. Lewis, T. Coleman, and Smallwood. Am I crazy to roll with both Saints backs in a PPR league?
@Matty Ice: I think you go Ingram and Smallwood, however, you’re not crazy. I’m thinking that’s a good move, but it has some downsides. Just to cover my ass, I would probably do all Saints here.
Jay,
Excellent job with the write-ups and rankings this yr! Quick question…what do u think we see out of Sammy Watkins this yr? I have Cooper, Beckham, Tate, Watkins, Meredith for two WR spots and FLEX. Do i play Watkins over Tate in a 12team PPR league? Thanks! Keep up the good work!
@The G: Thanks! Yeah, I’m fine with that upside play. It’ll be interesting, because he’ll probably show us today what he’s capable of. I’m okay with the hype, but playing him over Tate is manageable here. With other WRs, I might think twice.
Need a flex, standard.
Smith, Sanders, Hopkins, Coleman, Dixon.
@Fizz: I’d probably go Hopkins there.
Tough decisions in my 0.5 ppr league…
Need to fill a RB, WR, WR, FLEX out of:
Rawls, Hightower, Starks
Hopkins, Tate, Watkins, Wilson, Steve Smith
Thanks!
@PaulZone: I’d probably go Rawls, Hightower and Hopkins, Watkins.
@Jay: Thanks! I have Smallwood too…You like him over Rawls or Hightower?
@PaulZone: he’s close, but no.
@Jay: Man, struggling with Watkins over Tate with Marvin Jones out…Oakland matchup is great but that foot scares me…you feel pretty confident with Watkins?
@PaulZone: coinflip honestly. If nervous, I’m for going conservative here.
swap out Hauschka for Santos or Lutz in dome or is this difference negligible?
@Nick: Negligible I think. I like Hauschka fine.
Jay i have a problem a dont know who to start in my W/R/T look at my bench…need an advice
Qb drew bress
Rb melvin gordon
Rb lesean mccoy
Wr julian edelman
Wr michael thomas
TE marcelus bennett
W/R/T booker
W/R/T randall cobb
Bench Dion lewis, emanuel sanders, chris hogan, malcom mitchell, james starks
@Jose: Booker and Starks
you dont like emanuel sanders or malcom mitchell?
@Jose: I like Sanders, but probably safer to break up your Denver players.
You wouldnt put randall cobb and emanuel sanders as your 2 flexs? Sorry to ask you again, i need to win this week for the playoffs jajaaajaj
@Jose: not sure what else to say. Go with Cobb and Sanders, close enough to work out.
Your rankings list has T. Hill 5+ spots ahead of Landry. 12team PPR league. W/. D Parker out does Landry get all the targets? Can Hill match?
R.Kelly or Ingram?
Thanks in advance
JRJ
@JohnRamboJr: Hill and Ingram. I don’t like Tannehill today.
What up!!?
Martellus or Vernon PPR?
Thanks
@M geezy: yo yo! Vernon.
Greetings, this is it man a lot of pressure this week: I’ve been streaming at the D all season it’s had some pros & cons ; this week I’m stuck between Raiders who I’m scared of McCoy, Bucs who have been up / down but on the flip they shut down Wilson last week, bengals home vs wentz , dolphins who are on the rd at Baltimore then lastly Chargers who are in sunny California vs hot Winston but flipside Chargers have made plays as of late hmm, i wanted the pats but they were added.
Great news you’ll still be around with rankings
@Cosmo Kramer: thanks man! I’d go Bengals.
After two “full” practices, do you have any concern TY doesn’t play Monday night?
If so, would you drop Ellington handcuff/RB4 to pick up an WR5 (Enunwa) to have on speed dial if Hilton is inactive?
@the imp: yeah. Iwant Enunwa there for peace of mind.
@Jay: Or I could drop my backup QB (Eli behind Jameis, who I plan to sit until week 15)…
@the imp: eh, risky. I actually like 2 qbs come playoffs
@Jay: Okay. Traded one insurance policy for another. Good luck this week.
Need some wr help. Need three from Edelman, b. Cooks, smith sr, tyreek hill, and t. Gabriel. Thanks.
@Aaron: Smith and Gabriel I think are off the island.
Need a win and a little help to clinch this week. Here’s my roster, in order of depth / starting right now. We start 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, Flex W-R-T.
Ben, Luck
Gurley, Howard, Kelley, Dixon
Crowder, Tate, Watkins, Ty Williams, Inman
Ebron, Reed (out)
What starting lineup do you toss out there? I just picked up Inman and dropped Marquess Wilson bc wasn’t sure if Ty would play. Looking like he is, so I’m thinking of getting Wilson back today before game time. Not much else out there. Maybe Maclin as a stash?
So, need advice at QB and which are my top 2 RB plays. I haven’t looked at rankings yet but right now, to me, it’s Girley (misspelling intended) and Howard. Sit Kelley and Dixon in favor of a 4th WR at flex?
Thanks in advance.
@Frank: Full ppr, btw
@Frank: I like the setup you have, odd men out listed last. I think keep your RBs in.
@Jay: thanks
@Frank: any time Frank, good luck!
Trying to play spoiler
Ingram Hightower or Gurley?
Steelers Def or 49ers vs Barkley?
@Zandy: Ingram and 49ers.
And another one for you. 12tm, half ppr. Start 2 rb, 2wr, te, r/w/t
Luck, Kaepernick
Gurley, Howard, Riddick, Dixon, C-Mike
Cooper, Diggs (played), Ty Williams, Britt, Gabriel
Olsen, Ebron
Diggs played so one of my WR slots is locked. That leaves Coop for the other one. Now the dilemma is – do I need to find room for Riddick and Ebron… and Britt or Gabriel lol ? Maybe Gurley is on the bench and Riddick gets the nod. Then I need to decide between Ty Will, Ebron, Britt, Gabriel for the flex.
Thanks
@Frank: no, I don’t think so. Over thinking is natural, but I want to keep it safe.
Based on your rankings, you feel better about Boyd over Inman in PPR today?
@Pete: Assuming so, should I grab Meredith over Inman? I need 2 out of the 3 of these guys
@Pete: I’m good, but Inman over Meredith.
Standard
TE V Davis or L Kendricks?
PPR 1 pt. Rank there players this week
Blount, Moncreif, or Latavius Murray
@BWAY: Davis, then murrey, blount, Moncrief
Fkex – Martin or T. Williams? Thx
@Jack: martin, np!
Boyd in the rain vs Philly or Mitchell in the cold with Brady (and Gronk out). I already have Edelman starting, need second receiver.
@John: Boyd not to stack might be wise, even in Rain.
Half ppr, what do you think of Vereen as a stash? He has Dal, Det and @Phi in the playoffs. Probably wouldn’t start for my team barring injury but some potential opponents are weak at RB. Would drop Mariota, as I have Ryan and Mariota’s matchups are tough (Den, @KC, @Jax).
@Steve Stevenson: yeah, I’d be good with that.
Starting D Johnson and Howard…
Should I play L. Miller or Ingram in my flex…
Crowder, T Williams, Crabtree. Pick two!
Thanks!
@Btdrnks: I think Miller and then everyone but Crabtree.
WTF happened to kaepernicking? i forgot to sub him out for stafford (although i kinda thought it was so close it might not matter), now i see he attempted 5 passes! i can’t find any rotoworld info on an injury
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: it’ll only affect my seeding (had i won this week i would’ve won a division at 9-4, instead i’ll lose to the guy who does but still make playoffs at 8-5, and i have whole league by the balls in points by like 220 or something). but that 27 or so point difference between kapernicking and stafford will likely be the loss (howard can’t make up for everything in every league, doing pretty damn good in the other 2 howard’s though)
m.wilson, smart man to not trust that last week production.
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: oh wilson got hurt, that’s why. but it appeared windy (duh) in CHI today anyway, he probably would’ve gotten like a 3-28 line or something anyway.
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: Snow and sleet. That whole game was garbage.
@Jay: shouldn’t have gotten cute and just went with the rankings on stafford vs kaep. or just gotten up earlier and checked weather, that too would’ve been enough.
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: Fair enough. I think a lot of people were wrong on Kap, so at least you’re not alone.
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: Hell, I started him in some leagues.
@Jay: went back and looked at the play by play, bunch of snowy garbage like teams kicking 15 yd punts, being scared to even attempt mid-40 yard FG’s
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: Yeah, I think the 49ers punted on like the Bears 31 or something. It was stupid.
@Jay: yep 31.
i figured now that that bitch from major league finally got her way and team has been moved to LA, she would’ve actually attempted to start winning now, you know, the opposite of alienating a fan base as a principle. apparently i was wrong. ooops, i’m talking about that Rams owner, who’s really just an uglier version of that character though, so i wasn’t far off. fisher gets resigned, jebus.
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: I saw that, laughable that he got resigned. NFL owners seem to love the guy.
@Jay: at this point i’d think that number has shrunk, but we’ll have to wait to find out about that, figured we’d see him on the browns or college next year.
@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: Owners love mediocrity I guess.
good “gamble” riverboat ron, this is like betting on rain in ARI or something.
@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: i always wondered why belichick didn’t just bench brady on the first play as a “trick” now i get it.
@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: haha!
@Jay: better metaphor for gambling with this:
he’s like a guy stoned/drunk playing poker that calls all in on the river thinking he’s got the best hand but really that was the hand he had LAST hand and now he just gave his money away with like 8 high or something.
@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: Yeah, honestly, no clue what happened here. Injuries, of course, but they could have won the South easily without trying all that much.
Seeing Rawls run wild reminds me of how around Week 6 rotoworld was completely off the bandwagon and told everyone that at best, Rawls was going to be in a timeshare with Christine Michael…
@William Hung: Yeah, he’s clearly the better back. I would feel vindicated on myu love for him if he actually stayed healthy.
@Jay: annnnnd the concussion. in one 12 teamer with huge benches we can have only max 6 RB’s (a .2 PPR league, weird, and we keep 6 per year), so now, after holding all year dixon/rawls i’m looking damn good. start 3 RB, 2 flexes too. only RB change i’ve made all year was to drop langford (have howard) for hightower (have ingram also). only thing that’s REALLY shitty about the 6 max RB and also WR is that we have 2 IR slots, and guys in those count against the cap. last year i had ingram/allen now allen in them.
@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: I kinda like that setup. Makes waivers thinner, but the redundancy certainly helps.
Howdy!! Talk about down to the wire, I am currently up 15.5 points in my .5 ppr league not feeling too good about it though; my opponent has forte & I have moncrief. Gonna be on the edge of my seat for MNF, hopefully just somehow moncrief can outscore forte tomorrow
@Timbo: you don’t need moncrief to outscore forte, you just need forte to not OUTSCORE moncrief by 15.5 or more.
@I don’t want to brag but i have irritable bowel syndrome:
True but I still need moncrief to score lol
@Timbo: Yeah, it’s okay to be nervous, but you are in a very comfortable position.
@Timbo: unless forte gets 15.5 you don’t actually need anything, but you probably don’t need a whole lot out of moncrief, and he’s probably going to get at least 6 points in .5 PPR.
@Timbo: Could be a wash though, which is good for you. Good luck either way!
I’ve got a nail biter going to get into playoffs…
One of the three of us make it:
I’ve got Enunwa left and a 8 pt lead on team 2 who has Gore left and a 21 pt lead on team 3 who has Hilton and Powell left
@Nightpandas: I think you’re okay. I love Enunwa right now.
