Well how about that. Some interesting matchups this Sunday, and it only took to the half point of the season to get there. And you know, sometimes I wonder if I’m a bit hard on the NFL, I actually don’t think I’ve spoken positively about the “presentation” part of the sport for quite some time. But then when you actually think about it, I’m pretty sure I should be even more negative. You have deflateghazi, the whole Josh Brown thing, the continuing and baffling crackdown on anything that may look like an emotion on the field, like trying to shoot a bow with an imaginary arrow or taking a picture with an imaginary camera… All of this, of course, has nothing to do with fantasy football, that is unless you prefer watching math develop on ESPN.com instead of watching, you know, the games… so color me a bit mystified as to why the NFL is trying so hard to gaslight us every weekend. On a lighter note, we do get what will probably be the best Sunday Night Football game of the year. Best game if you measure in derps. The NFC East is always the gift that keeps giving, and the greatest gift ever is when it’s the and Eagles and Cowboys. I think the only possibly way to make this even better is to throw the Giants in there for good measure. Have them play from sideline-to-sideline, because why not? Though, even playing the width of the field at 53 yards, McAdoo would still probably have trouble getting to the redzone…

    Standard league.

    Do I start Kelley or Thompson? Or hope that gillislee is fine, McCoy is definitely out, and roll with gillislee?

    Thanks

  2. Nick says:
    (link)

    I will be down to McKinnon for week 10 with gore/Murray on bye. Every move costs $5. Langford and Montgomery and bibbs are available but I’m not sure they will even play much in week 10. Do any of them have to appeal in a td heavy scoring league? I might have to get 2 if McKinnon doesn’t get healthy for that week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Nick: I’d go Montgomery there.

  3. MiggyCat says:
    (link)

    Hey bud,

    One more for you and thanks for the help as always!

    .5 PPR.

    Starting Pryor and Montgomery at WR. Who do I add as my 3rd?

    Diggs vs Chi

    Or

    Moncrief vs KC

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @MiggyCat: Sure thing! I think Diggs.

  4. cory says:
    (link)

    half ppr, if cobb isn’t a go, bilal powell @ cle or dwayne washington @ hou as a flex?

    • cory says:
      (link)

      @cory: or hunter henry, which 2 out of 3?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @cory: I think you go Powell and Washington. I think Gates takes some away from Henry this week.

      • cory says:
        (link)

        @Jay: thanks bro

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @cory: np!

  5. Ryan says:
    (link)

    Good morning!

    For a full ppr, I need to start 2 of these 4…

    L. Miller
    J. Stewart
    C. Thompson
    C. Brate

    Thanks for the help!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Ryan: Mornin! I’d go Miller and Stewart there.

  6. Randy says:
    (link)

    In a 12-team standard, I have Miller, Jacquizz, Crowell, Gore, Dwayne Wash, and Jordan Howard at RB. Would you drop any of these for Gillislee or Alfred Blue? We start 2 RB and I’m not in need of a starter this week per se.

    Also in a 10-team standard, I have Ware, Jaquizz, Miller, Booker, and Howard at RB. Would you drop Howard for Dwayne Washington, Rob Kelley, or Alfred Blue? Again, this move would be more ROS than for this week.

    Lastly, in the same 10-team standard league, I have ARob, Cobb, Moncrief, Pryor, and Michael Thomas. Would you drop any for Corey Coleman, Maclin, Edleman, or Coates? We have roster limits, so I cant’ drop from another position; it’d have to be someone from this group.

    Thank you!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Randy: Washington for Gillislee if you need a starter today. Hold if you don’t.

  7. TOGMAN says:
    (link)

    12 team .5 PPR

    QB: Winston
    WR: M. Jones, Crabtree
    RB: Bernard, _______
    TE: Gronkowski
    W/R/T: Sanders
    D/ST: Kansas City
    Bench: Rivers, Wallace, L. Bell, McCoy, McKinnon, Fleener, Philadelphia

    I need a RB for this week but not sure who to drop. Sproles would be the add.
    Should I drop KC, PHI or McKinnon?

    KC: @IND, JAX, @CAR, TB, @DEN, @ATL, (OAK, TEN, DEN)
    PHI: @DAL, @NYG, ATL, @SEA, GB, @CIN, (WAS, @BAL, NYG-TNF)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @TOGMAN: I’d drop Philly there.

  8. Blake says:

    PPR League

    Cam Merideth or R Kelley in my flex spot?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Blake: Meredith in PPR.

  9. friar says:
    (link)

    Better lottery ticket bench stash (0.5 ppr): R Kelley or K Davis?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @friar: Kelley for now.

  10. Zandy says:
    (link)

    So schefter says Cobb is likely to sit…
    Wait to see if he is inactive and then go Alshon? Or just assume he’s inactive and go JStew?
    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: Wait, but sounds legit. Be ready to go Alshon. Then JStew, yeah.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Cobb is a 430pm game
        Alshon is Monday night
        JStew is 1pm
        So I can wait until 1245 to decide – so who would you rather go Alshon or JStew?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Zandy: Looks like Cobb is out for sure. I think you go Stew here.

          • Zandy says:
            (link)

            @Jay: thanks will do

            • Jay

              Jay says:

              @Zandy: good luck!

  11. Zandy says:

    Last bench spot
    Add josh Gordon – now that he’s out of rehab
    Or add Peyton barber?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: Barber. Not interested in Gordon anymore.

  12. Brian bozz says:
    (link)

    Howdy jay!

    .5 ppr for my flex go with Chris hogan (@ buff) revenge game?, Adam thielen at Chicago? Ronnie Hillman at Chicago? Cordarrle Patterson at Chicago? Or Knile Davis at ATL?

    Better long term stash Bibbs or James Starks? Thanks man!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Brian bozz: I’d go Hogan there, and I think Bibbs is the guy.

      • Brian bozz says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

        Thanks man! I read in Buffalo there’s 50% chance of rain if by 1 it’s rainy & wet are you not starting hogan ?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Brian bozz: I think Patterson if it looks really bad. They were both close to each other.

  13. Project Merkin says:
    (link)

    Jayballs,

    Got this trade proposal at 2:00am so I’m thinking alcohol was involved. PPR league. I’m in the middle of the pack (4-3 with mid range points).

    My QBs are Jamie’s and Tyrod (woof)
    My WRs are Antonio Brown, Ty Hilton, TY Montgomery, Willie Snead

    He trades me his Aaron Rodgers and John Brown
    For my TY Hilton and Tyrod Taylor

    Do it?

    Thanks bruh. Keep up the good work!

    • Project Merkin says:
      (link)

      Scratch that, Alshon Kefferey on my current team, not Snead.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Project Merkin: Those are the best kind of deals. Andrew Luck for Bobby Rainey WOOOOOO.

      And yeah, I think you do it to upgrade your QB. Big step back with Brown, but I’m assuming he’s a bench piece for you?

      • Project Merkin says:
        (link)

        @Jay: yeah so now I’ll have brown, Montgomery, and Alshon with Davonte Adams, brown, and tavon Austin on the bench.

        Boom traded.

  14. Allan says:
    (link)

    Jay,
    I’ve got demarco and the guy who has henry just offered me Meredith and Henry or Garcon and Henry for Michael Thomas. My other receivers are julio, amari cooper, and maclin. Should I do it to handcuff demarco or is Thomas too good to give up?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Allan: Yeah, I like that deal for you.

      • Allan says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Cool. You like Meredith or Garcon better? He also has fuller that I might be able to get though he may not be willing to trade fuller.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Allan: I think you’re fine there. I like Meredith long term this year.

  15. Gio says:

    Ppr. Moncrief vs kc or James white @ buf? Thx!

    • Gio says:
      (link)

      @Gio: or Snead vs sea or Lamar miller? Miller scares me today

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Gio: I’d go Moncrief, but very close to White.

      @mH: Moncrief and Miller.

  19. Funk says:
    (link)

    Need a win to stay in the playoff picture and I checked the flex rankings but still wanted to ask; do we like Adams or Gillislee better for half ppr? Gillislee burned me last week and last report was they are going with hot hand approach for the game vs NE. Also I’m afraid that GB will be looking to get Nelson going again after a quiet few weeks and force him some extra targets. There is shootout potential there however. Thanks for your time!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Funk: yeah, go for the ceiling here then. Adams.

  20. MJP says:
    (link)

    Do I trade Antonio Brown for Ezekiel Elliott? I feel like I’m under-valuing Brown in that trade, but given ARob is sitting on my bench (though that’s probably where he belongs) I am wondering if it’s worth it…

    12-Team Half-PPR Yahoo w/o FLEX

  21. Joedogg says:
    (link)

    In my standard scoring league I was thinking of using a strategy of getting Jordy, Montgomery, and Adams in my lineup today. I’d have to bench Marvin Jones. I just know that the one packer I bench will be the one with the big game. What do ya think?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Joedogg: might make you miss out on Jones. I’m okay with it if you want to take the risk, but if its5my team, probably getting Jones in there for Adams.

      • Joedogg says:
        (link)

        @Jay: thanks man… with Cobb out think I’ll go for it. It’s a case of hedging my bets, which isn’t usually my style. Team I’m playing is dealing with a lot of byes, seems like a good play in a hopeful shootout

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Joedogg: nice, good luck!

  22. Jerry says:

    Hey, Jay. Rawls was just dropped. Do you think he’s worth a claim being a few weeks away? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Jerry: totally. IF I got space, I’m going for it.

  23. Tsilaeri says:
    (link)

    Do you think Donte Mon’s snaps will be limited this week?
    Still thinking whether I should start him or CMeredith.
    I don’t like CMeredith because Hoyer’s down and he doesn’t seem healthy either.

    Thanks for the ranks anywayz!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Tsilaeri: I’d feel okay going Moncrief here.
