As “The Dude” proclaimed to Brant and Jeffrey Lebowski in what is arguably the greatest comedy of my generation, “New shit has come to light”. For purposes of this post, “new shit,” is NFL training camp. Here is a quick update on that new shit. I have written a new blurb about each player that […]

I continue my review of the updated Dynasty Rookie Draft Rankings with players 11-30. You may find some managers begin to check out when you reach this stage of your draft, so this is an opportunity to gain a leg up on your competition. 2022 was a deep draft class and 2022 contributors can be […]

About this time a year ago, many experts thought the 2022 draft class might be a little weak. Their reasoning seemed sound. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCAA adjusted its player eligibility rules allowing all players an extra season to play sports. Some thought the new Name Image Likeness (NIL) rules which allow an amateur player to profit from the commercial use of their, well Name Image or Likeness. So players get paid to stay in college. But neither cash nor the enticing extra senior season of being the man on campus was enough to stifle 2022. This class is loaded with depth. It lacks some of the over-the-top talents like Najee Harris and Ja’Marr Chase, but it doesn’t lack depth featuring many talented players who will almost certainly carve out significant roles early in their professional careers. The rankings of these players offer little more than a guide. I have done my best, but without the benefit of knowing their teams, rankings are an inexact science. This process is useful to get to know the new crop of talent growing our game.

Welcome to the master list of my devy prospects for single QB leagues! This installment will be players ranked 21-40. Check out the top 20 here.

In this format, the player values can be all over the place and each manager’s process for player evaluation becomes of utmost importance.

I have previously released articles with my position-specific rankings which describe in more detail my process and what I look for when ranking devy prospects. Check those out here: QBRBWR, and TE

Since you’re quarantined and I have your undivided attention, let’s talk about some college running backs that appear to have what it takes to make an impact on your devy roster. In a “devy” league, short for developmental, managers can select players who are still in college (or high school) and stash them on a separate, inactive roster until they are drafted into the NFL.

For the devy manager, there is truly no offseason as we must take the months with no NFL to update our devy ranks and prepare to dig deep and draft some unknown lottery tickets hoping that you can pick up the next Jonathan Taylor or CeeDee Lamb before your league mates even know their name.
