An artist’s depiction of yesterday’s Cowboys game.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the first every Sunday of football should always have the Dallas Cowboys doing whatever that was they did yesterday afternoon. In fact, let’s start a petition to have them on Monday AND Thursday night as well. I mean, can we even say that the Cowboys actually did anything in training camp? This looks like the exact same team from last year, and I’ve already started decorating my house for the holidays seeing as how the Cowboys are already in mid-December form. True, as the sharp and always entertaining (in gouging your own eyes out sort of way) commentating duo of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman informed us, if not for all the turnovers, this would have been a close game. I’ve never seen something so beautifully and succinctly useless at the same time. If it weren’t for the Normandy landing and the eastern invasion of Russia, Germany had a pretty good World War II. And while the game was technically close without including large portions of events that happened during the game, I was left with this one burning question– What is it called when you throw to a receiver that had 12 people covering him?

For at least one night, Cutler was not the focus nor his offfensive lineman-slapping ways.  The Chicago Bears defense was front and center on this night, creating 5 turnovers and was leading their team in scoring up until the last major Bears drive of the night which, of course, was started by an interception.  Bears […]

The Waiver Wire can be a fickle beast. Surprising Week 1 performers like Alfred Morris, Andrew Hawkins and Dennis Pitta followed up with solid Week 2 stat lines, while other “Must-Adds” like Mark Sanchez and Kevin Ogletree were apparently spending their Sundays getting ready for the premiere of Boardwalk Empire. And while I don’t blame […]

So let’s just say that you don’t get to 510 passing yards because your team is performing well.  Eli Manning threw for 510 and 3 touchdowns to help lead his team to a comeback victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.  Now how did Tampa Bay stay so close in New York, you ask?  […]

With Week 1 complete other than the MNF double-header, odds are that your league mates are rushing to the Waiver Wire looking for the next Victor Cruz. If your league is full of irrational Giants fans, then the real Victor Cruz might be on that Waiver Wire after his 3-drop performance last Wednesday. Some of […]

Now that we’re one week into the season, we finally know how a lot of defensive players are going to line-up when the game actually matters.  If your fantasy season started off with a loss, don’t panic and start selling off your star players for pennies on the dollar.  Instead, use matchups to your advantage […]

Fantasy football is back, baby!  And with all the hooplah and fantasy goodness everyone is praying for in week 1, there are still a lot of last second decisions to be made as you pick your final line-up as rosters lock. We’ve already seen a possible every week starter emerge as if from nowhere in […]

As you get further and further down the receiver rankings you start seeing guys who will be battling in preseason for starting jobs, which makes this list somewhat tentative.  I will update it as events unfold. Check out 1-55 here.  No really, if you move that little arrow over the word “here” and press on […]
