Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals 12/06/2020 @ 4:05 pm EST. ARI +3
Kyler Murray gets the ultimate Vegas disrespect, becoming an underdog at home against Jared Goff. He looked lost at times last week versus Belichick’s Patriots, but had that game advanced to OT, Murray might have still come away with a win. The Rams defense is not coached by the goat and will be missing some key pieces over the middle where Kyler’s legs and Larry Fitzgerald’s return should produce drive-continuing plays. Arizona had been favored against Miami and Buffalo recently, both of whom beat Los Angeles this season. I find the books flat wrong here and will be locking in the three-point home dog.
Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers 12/06/2020 @ 4:25 pm EST. GB -9
Aaron Rodgers is having an MVP season, again. He and Davante Adams are the premier duo in the league this year. Despite Philadelphia’s strong rush defense, their secondary can be exploited. The Packer QB-WR combo has yet to be stopped. Add in Aaron Jones’ receiving capabilities against the weak Eagles linebackers, and Green Bay will score. Philly won’t. Carson Wentz is thankful fans haven’t been allowed to boo him out of his starting gig this season. They are lucky to have three wins at this point. Nine is a significant number, but I trust ARod to run it up against a defeated Bird Gang.
Washington Football Team @ Pittsburgh Steelers 12/07/2020 @ 5:00 pm EST. PIT -10.5
The injury report could impact this line and my feelings on it, but currently, I am all over it. WFT has been playing better of late behind Antonio Gibson’s breakout rookie performance. Next week, he faces the best defense in the NFL. The Steelers will find a way to corral Gibson more than everyone else has and put the pressure back on Alex Smith to lead Washington. Smith is a tremendous feel-good story; however, he cannot carry the offense on his shoulders. The Football Team hasn’t faced a winning opponent since Week 5, where the Rams smashed them. Pittsburgh is going to do the same.
I am watching Pittsburgh play on Wednesday as I write this preview for a MNF doubleheader next week. Oh, 2020, when will you stop?
