Good day fake football friends and fiends. I put together a FanDuel league for ya’ll that is exclusive to Turkey Day. There are three games so we have 6 teams to pick from and the winner gets 75 cash dollars, 2nd place gets 15 and 3rd gets 10. I thought this would be fun so we can have a rooting interest in these games without having to wait until Monday night to know who is victorious! Here it is in all its glory!! Razzball’s First Annual FanDuel Tofurducken Bowl!!
I may change some things up, but here are my initial picks —
QB Drew Brees: I was going to go with Hill or Kitna here, but had a lot of money left over. Brees shouldn’t have much trouble throwing on the Cowboys.
RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis: There aren’t many running backs to choose from in these games. I thought about Woodhead instead, but since FanDuel isn’t PPR I am leaning Law Firm.
RB Felix Jones: This is easily the toughest slot. I thought about Reggie Bush but I worry that he’ll be injured in warmups. Cedric Benson gets the Jets and he was a little expensive for me if I want Brees. I am tentatively going with Felix Jones, but will keep an eye on practice reports since he tweaked his hip last weak.
WR Calvin Johnson: Belichick will probably have some ingenious plan for him, but the Patriots pass defense is weak. I can’t pass up Megatron.
WR Marques Colston: He’s the guy on New Orleans and Brees is my QB. If they hook up I’m getting some points.
WR Dez Bryant: I can’t believe he doesn’t have a good Razzball Nickname yet! Come on people. This guy is choppin wood!
K Shayne Graham: The Pats will move the ball.
D NY Jets: This game looks like the best chance for defensive points, but it also could be a good spot to really make up ground on a wild card pick here.
