Good day fake football friends and fiends.  I put together a FanDuel league for ya’ll that is exclusive to Turkey Day.  There are three games so we have 6 teams to pick from and the winner gets 75 cash dollars, 2nd place gets 15 and 3rd gets 10.  I thought this would be fun so we can have a rooting interest in these games without having to wait until Monday night to know who is victorious! Here it is in all its glory!! Razzball’s First Annual FanDuel Tofurducken Bowl!!

I may change some things up, but here are my initial picks —

QB Drew Brees: I was going to go with Hill or Kitna here, but had a lot of money left over.  Brees shouldn’t have much trouble throwing on the Cowboys.

RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis: There aren’t many running backs to choose from in these games.  I thought about Woodhead instead, but since FanDuel isn’t PPR I am leaning Law Firm.

RB Felix Jones: This is easily the toughest slot. I thought about Reggie Bush but I worry that he’ll be injured in warmups.  Cedric Benson gets the Jets and he was a little expensive for me if I want Brees.  I am tentatively going with Felix Jones, but will keep an eye on practice reports since he tweaked his hip last weak.

WR Calvin Johnson: Belichick will probably have some ingenious plan for him, but the Patriots pass defense is weak.  I can’t pass up Megatron.

WR Marques Colston: He’s the guy on New Orleans and Brees is my QB.  If they hook up I’m getting some points.

WR Dez Bryant: I can’t believe he doesn’t have a good Razzball Nickname yet! Come on people.  This guy is choppin wood!

K Shayne Graham: The Pats will move the ball.

D NY Jets: This game looks like the best chance for defensive points, but it also could be a good spot to really make up ground on a wild card pick here.

Question for week 12 — who should I start?

    QBs:Orton / Shaun Hill / Fitzy
WR: Sidney Rice / Mario Manningham / Steve Johnson / Nate Burleson / James Jones
RB: Arian Foster / Frank Gore / Matt Forte / BJGE

Standard format with return yard points.

    I can play :
    1 QB
    2 WR’s
    2 RB’s
Flex: can be WR or RB
    1 TE

    Thanks

I have six viable WRs for three spots. Which three should I play in Week 12?

    Terrell Owens
    Steve Johnson
    Wes Welker
    Vincent Jackson
    Sidney Rice
    Lance Moore

Would you drop either Mathews or Best to pick up Morris? Those two guys are killing me and I get angry when I look at them on my bench.

  6. Jay says:
    (link)

@Jay: Forgot to mention, it’s a PPR league.

  7. genghis chone says:

Would you trade Eli Manning and Johnny Knox for Donovan McNabb and Mike Wallace? PPR, I only care about weeks 15-16, my QBs are Orton, Roethlisberger and Eli and my WRs are Andre Johnson, Harvin, Vincent Jackson, James Jones, Jacoby Ford, Knox Nicks, Britt and we start 2 WRs and a RB/WR. Thanks!

    Sit/start question:

Dwayne Bowe, Mike Williams (DUI), DeSean Jackson, Sidney Rice, and Santana Moss – Pick 3

I’m leaning towards Bowe, Jackson, and Rice since Williams is facing BAL (whose pass DEF hasn’t been good, but still seems riskier), but I’m really not sure. Seems like this is a week where no matter who I choose, someone’s bound to put up gorgeous points on my bench.

@Doc: Should I bench T.O. in favor of Ward @ Buffalo for my flex? I’m going to the Jet game and have a good feeling about Revis shutting down T.O…

Also is it cool to roll w/ V Jax this week alongside R White & R Wayne? Blair White & T.O. left out as of now…

    Doc,

Double shot of Powers Whiskey on the way….PPR league playoff implications.

Who do I start? Fitzpatrick or Freeman? LT or Moreno?

    THX!

  11. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

@Nick: Yeah, I’d sit TO and I would go with VJax.

@Penguin: Baltimore’s pass D has been pretty horrid. I’d feel okay going with Williams. Rice could blow up, but I’d feel safer with Williams.

@genghis chone: Yeah, I’d get Wallace there.

@Professor Chaos: Hah, looks like Best will play on Thursday which hurts Morris. I agree they are dropworthy, but Morris is pretty meh.

    @Jay: Rice, VJax, S. Johnson

@EricG: Hill, S Johnson, manningham, Foster, Gore, BJGE

  12. Doc

    Doc says:

@Greg: That is very tough. Baltimore has been bad against the pass, but it is hard to recommend starting Freeman. I’d hope for a Fitzpatrick garbage time parade. And I’d lean Moreno. He showed last week that he is the main guy in the passing game as well. mmmmm, whiskey

  13. Greg says:

    Doc,

Last question for the week….same league…PPR

Witten or Boss? Witten has been cold of late and I think Boss may be the leading receiver against JAX this week…..ur take?

  14. stumanji says:

Is Mendenhall and VJax too much to give up for AP?

My other WRs are Wayne, Bowe, Colston, and Floyd (start 2).

  15. stumanji says:

@stumanji: Moot point now. He turned it down and deadline passed.

  16. friar says:

    Hey Doc,
Who should I play as a flex this week in my 0.5 PPR league? K. Williams, M. Austin, or M. Goodson? Thanks!

  17. stumanji says:
    (link)

Need 1 WR and 1 Flex from this group of shmoes:
    Crabtree @ Ari
    Burleson vs NE
    Breaston vs SF
    Shonn Greene vs Cin
    Mo Morris vs NE
    Beanie vs SF

Leaning Crabs and Shonn due to matchups, but both had forgettable games last week.

so with nicks going down i need to start 2 from the following:

ward, floyd, vincet jackson, and lee evans.

trying to hang onto 1st place and a playoff bye.

  19. ThePoonTycoon says:
    (link)

also, 2 of these 3: foster, mendenhall, and steven jackson.

mendenhall and jackson face the 2 worst rush Ds in the league, so do i sit foster?

  20. brad says:
    (link)

start s. hill or m. ryan this week?

  21. Matt Leinart says:
    (link)

Huh. Jacobs named the starter over Bradshaw for Sunday’s game. As a Bradshaw, I hope this is just to send a message, otherwise my RB corps just got pretty thin. If Bradshaw just turned into Jason Snelling I’ll be disappointed.

  22. Matt Leinart says:
    (link)

Actually, I’m not technically “a Bradshaw.” I do have him on my team, however.

  23. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

@Greg: I’d still lean Witten, but I do like Boss.

    @friar: Williams

@stumanji: I would go with Greene and Crabs. No easy decision there.

    @ThePoonTycoon: VJax and Ward

@ThePoonTycoon: That is tough. SJax for sure. Denver is horrid. I don’t think I could sit Foster. He’s getting it done against good teams.

    @brad: Hill

@Matt Leinart: Yeah, that sucks. Hoping it’s more of a motivation thing.

Brutal week for me, I need your advice so bear with me…
My opponents starters: Brady, Wallace, Roddy, Dez, Mendenhall, R. Rice, Foster, Z. Miller (or Gronkowski), M. Bryant (K), and OAK D/ST.
My starters: Rivers, Holmes, Burleson, Bess, Moreno, Tolbert, K. Williams, Tamme, [insert kicker here],and Ravens D.
On my bench I have R. Moss, Nicks, Blount, Benson, Lynch, Orton, and Hernandez.
A few names available on WW: Meachem, Breaston, L. Evans, S. Rice, Hagan, Gibson, Blair White, Hartline, Avant, Goodson, Gettis, J. Jones, and J. Nelson.

Do you agree with who I’m starting? Do I need to make a change or pick up someone off the WW? And last, who on my team is safe to drop (need to pick up Shane Graham)? Thanks in advance man.

  25. doodee says:
    (link)

I left out Big Mike Williams on the list of available on WW because I took him off my watch list after he got injured. Carroll says he might play against KC, should he be considered at all?

  26. doodee says:
    (link)

sorry I should add it’s standard scoring, 0.25 PPR

  27. doodee says:
    (link)

one more too add to the list…Danario Alexander

  28. Black Beard says:

NonPPR, please choose two out of Moreno, Blount, Goodson, and K. Williams?

  29. Doc

    Doc says:

@doodee: I would drop Bess for Sidney Rice and start him. BMW probably won’t play this week. I’d drop either Lynch or AHer for Graham.

    @Black Beard: Moreno and Blount
