Fantasy football season is over for most of us. There still are psychotic commissioners out there that see no reason to leave week 17 out. If you’re in an argument with this person, all you need to do is point out the literal highest scoring fantasy asset is sitting out this week since the Baltimore Ravens locked up the #1 seed throughout the playoffs.Â
But, I am here to serve. I know that there are some of you that have to navigate the rough week 17 waters to try and chase those final payments. And there are those of us bored degenerates that are going to try to squeeze the last little bit of money on DraftKings and FanDuel. I didn’t do any rankings for week 17, but we can take a look at the inactives for week 17 and some sneaky DFS plays. Even if your fantasy football season is over, it doesn’t have to be totally done just yet.
Week 17 Injuries And Inactives
Lamar Jackson – Inactive
Kirk Cousins – Inactive
James Conner – OutÂ
Odell Beckham Jr. – Questionable
Dalvin Cook – Out
Chris Godwin – Out
D.J. Moore – Out
Robby Anderson – Questionable
Adam Humphries – Out
Will Fuller – Out
Deshaun Watson – Questionable
Even if Deshaun Watson is active, I wouldn’t play him in any formats. The first sign of trouble could lead to him heading to the sideline for the rest of the contest. I wouldn’t be surprised if the plan is to only play him for the first half to begin with.Â
Leonard Fournette – QuestionableÂ
Here is another one that I’m kind of worried about. Not that I would play him anyways. I believe that the Jaguars could end up being careful with their franchise running back.Â
Terry McLaurin – Out
Dwayne Haskins- Out
Nelson Agholor – Out
Zach Ertz – Out
Mark Ingram – Out
Kyler Murray – Questionable
Josh Jacobs – Doubtful
DFS Plays That I Like (Draftkings Prices)
DeAndre Washington ($5,200) –Â DeAndre Washington has scored a touchdown in each of his two starts at running back. The matchup against Denver isn’t the best, but the motivation for Oakland is definitely there being that they still have slim playoff hopes. Washington even saw a little work in the passing game in week 16. The price is higher than it was in previous weeks, but I think that there is still a lot of value here.Â
Alvin Kamara – ($7,900) –Â Alvin Kamara got it going last week and playing against Carolina is always a smash spot for running backs in 2019. I expect Kamara to score a couple of touchdowns, but even if he doesn’t his pass catching should make him worth the price.Â
Andy Dalton ($5,900) –Â This will undoubtedly be Andy Dalton’s last start in Cincinnati and I fully expect to him let it fly. Cleveland is still shorthanded on defense and rank 20th against quarterbacks in DraftKings scoring. Dalton has the ability to put up big days as we saw in week 16 against the Dolphins.Â
Greg Ward Jr. ($4,700) – The Giants rank 30th against WRs and Wentz has to throw to someone to close out the NFC East. Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor will be sidelined and Ward has scored over a combined 30 fantasy points in the last two weeks.Â
Justin Watson ($4,900) –Â The pass-happy Buccaneers have a great matchup against the Atlanta Falcons to close out the season. Watson will continue to see plenty of targets against the Falcons with Godwin sitting another one out. Last week, Watson caught 5 catches for 43 yards and a touchdown in his first look at extended snaps.Â
Tyler Higbee ($5,600) –Â It sounds like Gerald Everett will once again sit out against the Cardinals on Sunday. Tyler Higbee has 4 straight 100 yard receiving games including a 7 catch 107 yard and 1 touchdown effort against the Cardinals just a few weeks ago. $5,600 is more than I want to spend for a tight end, but he should put up numbers that still make this price a good value.Â
