I have a friend that traveled to India—he’s real, not imaginary, I swear. And my not-imaginary friend told me that you can’t even fathom how many people are in the big cities over there. Crowds that will legitimately trample people to death because they can’t stop or they’ll be trampled themselves.
That’s how I feel about fantasy football wide receivers as I attempt to rank them. There are just too many good ones! I stopped for a second to move George Pickens up 10 spots and Treylon Burks nearly knocked me over into the abyss. Sorry, Treylon, I can’t move every player I like into WR2 territory.
I keep scrolling back into the 50s and 60s of these rankings and I see players that could very plausibly finish the season as top 20 fantasy receivers. In shallower leagues, I do like to secure at least one top 10 ranked option to bolster the squad and then trust that I can fall into another breakout option during the season. In deeper leagues, I’m more prone to take a volume-based approach and load up on a bunch of receivers ranked between #20 and #50 on this list. Anyway, here’s my top 100 wide receivers for 2023 fantasy football:
