Hard to believe it is already Week 4 of the NFL season. Let’s take a quick look at the lineup build for this week! For QBs I love both Josh Allen and Tua Tagovailoa in the highest projected total of the week or Justin Herbert taking on a very beatable Raiders secondary.
There are a few stud WRs with great matchups this week that I am going to build my DFS lineup around. Ja’Marr Chase and Davante Adams don’t need matchup upgrades, but they get them this week! Brandon Aiyuk also returns to the lineup with Deebo banged up and a matchup upgrade as well. I also gave three lower-priced, dart-throw WRs that could boom this week as well in excellent matchups. Darnell Mooney, Quentin Johnston, and Marvin Mims are interchangeable depending on which QB you choose.
For the RB position, I found a few matchups and price points that I liked to accommodate paying up at WR. I chose D’Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, and Javante Williams in plus matchups. I added some other starts to consider depending on how you build your lineup.
My favorite matchup play at the TE position is Logan Thomas, who also provides excellent value. To round out the lineup, I paid as far down as I could on defense with the Browns. They will allow us to allocate resources elsewhere. Without further ado, let’s get to it!

QUARTERBACKS
Josh Allen (vs. MIA) $8200 – With the highest total of the week (54.5), being a three-point favorite at home, Vegas is expecting Buffalo to put up points. Allen’s dual-threat ability, coupled with a shootout, makes him one of my favorite QB options as they try to keep pace with Miami.
Justin Herbert (vs. LV) $7800 – Fresh off his 400-yard, three-TD performance, Justin Herbert gets the Raiders defense, who just allowed Kenny Pickett to have the first multi-TD game of his career. While Herbert did lose Mike Williams, it looks like he may be getting Austin Ekeler back. I believe Josh Palmer and Quentin Johnston can combine to make up Mike Williams’ production.
Tua Tagovailoa (@ BUF) $7400 – The Bills, on paper, are not a good matchup for opposing QBs. However, if we look closely at the QBs they have faced (Z. Wilson, Howell, Garoppolo), they are not the caliber of Tua. As I mentioned with Allen, this game has the highest total of the week, and I expect a shootout. If you want to save a little money from Allen or Herbert, Tua is your guy.
RUNNING BACK
D’Andre Swift (vs. WAS) $5700 – D’Andre Swift only trails CMC in rushing yards this season. Washington ranks middle of the pack against the run at 14th, so the matchup should not scare you away. The Eagles are 8-point favorites at home, which means D’Andre Swift should be busy on Sunday.
Javonte Williams (@ CHI) $5500 – Javonte Williams has gotten off to a slow start this season which was to be expected in his recovery. The Bears just gave up 4 touchdowns to KC RBs last week. Chicago will not run away from Denver (-3.5), which should give Williams enough opportunities to produce.
Roschon Johnson (vs. DEN) $4900 – I’m putting Roschon Johnson in my lineups this week. He gets the Denver Broncos, who just gave up eight TDs to the RB position last week and currently rank dead last in PPG to RB. Getting a higher-priced QB and/or WRs in my lineup provides value and upside.
Other starts: Josh Jacobs (@ LAC) $7100, Kyren Williams (@IND) $6000, Zack Moss (vs. LAR) $6000, Dameon Pierce (vs. PIT) $5100
WIDE RECEIVER
Davante Adams (@ LAC) $8000 – Davante Adams posted a 13/172/2 line on 20 targets last week. Adams now gets the Chargers defense, which is 31st against WRs this season. Davante should also see a fair share of Michael Davis, who has already allowed four TDs on the season. In a game where the Raiders will need to score, expect another big game from Davante.
Ja’Marr Chase (@ TEN) $7800 – Ja’Marr Chase is coming off a monster 15 target, 12/141/0 line Monday Night vs. LAR. Chase is also priced $1,800 less than Justin Jefferson and $1,400 less than Tyreek Hill this week. Those savings can be allocated to your other positions, and you should still get a big game from Chase this week. The Titans are a heavy pass-funnel defense and rank 29th against WRs. The likelihood is very high that Ja’Marr Chase will find the endzone for the first time this season, at least once.
Other studs: Keenan Allen (vs. LV) $7900, Brandon Aiyuk (vs. ARI) $6200
Darnell Mooney (vs. DEN) $4100 – Darnell Mooney?! Yes, the same Darnell Mooney who has had one target in the past two games. His ownership will be extremely low, making him the perfect player in lineups. DJ Moore is likely to see a lot of Patrick Surtain, which leaves Mooney to matchup with Damarri Mathis. Damarri Mathis has allowed 18/227/1 line to opposing WRs this year, which is a large reason why Denver ranks 29th against WRs so far.
Other low-price starts: Marvin Mims (@ CHI) $3900, Quentin Johnston (vs. LV) $3700
TIGHT ENDS
Logan Thomas (@ PHI) $3100 – Logan Thomas gets a Week 4 matchup with the Eagles. He did suffer a concussion in Week 2 but is expected back this week. He would return to a tremendous matchup against the 31st-ranked defense against TEs. The Eagles revived Hunter Henry and gave up a monster performance to Hockenson. Logan Thomas saw 8 targets in Week 1 and was on his way to a big game in Week 2 before exiting the game.
DEFENSE and Special Teams
Browns (vs. BAL) $2800 – The Browns are a fine option at only $2,800 in a tough divisional game with the Ravens. Lamar has struggled against the Browns the last few meetings, and the Browns’ defense has looked even stronger this year.
