- Arizona Cardinals
- Wide Receiver
- Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR30), Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch don’t strike fear into any opponent right now. Whether through Free Agency or the NFL Draft, the Cardinals need to upgrade at wideout.
- Wide Receiver
- Atlanta Falcons
- Wide Receiver
- Drake London is great. He was WR10 through Week 17 and WR1 in Week 18. Darnell Mooney was WR31 which is solid, but didn’t quite hit his ceiling. ATL needs one more piece to make up for Kyle Pitts not being “Kyle Pitts”.
- Wide Receiver
- Baltimore Ravens
- Wide Receiver
- Until Derrick Henry shows any signs he’s actually aging, he’s still King. Zay Flowers (WR25) is nice in PPR, but lacks TD upside. Rashod Bateman had a career year (9 TDs), but isn’t steady enough for fantasy. Plus the Ravens will continue to live by the run with Lamar Jackson and Henry. Another weapon for Jackson (other than Mark Andrews) would be a great addition.
- Wide Receiver
- Buffalo Bills
- Wide Receiver
- The best fantasy WR for BUF was Kahili Shakir (WR37). Keon Coleman may emerge, but losing Stefon Diggs showed. James Cook and Ray Davis make a solid backfield. Dalton Kincaid is too good to be this bad… right? The Bills need to add a weapon outside.
- Wide Receiver
- Carolina Panthers
- Wide Receiver (RB depth and TE(?))
- Adam Theilen led the Panthers in fantasy production at WR (WR52) and missed seven games. CAR needs help up and down the roster, but any kind of threat in the pass game would give Bryce Young a chance who was QB20 and surprisingly QB6 after the bye in Week 11.
- Wide Receiver (RB depth and TE(?))
- Chicago Bears
- Running Back
- Finally a team who seems set at WR. The Bears have way too much talent to be this mediocre. Major changes in the coaching rooms and year two of the first overall pick Caleb Williams. MY colleague Matt Stiles and I aren’t shy about how much we don’t believe in Williams long term, but I’m willing to give him a full season with a proven coaching staff. DeAndre Swift was RB19 in PPR and played every game. That’s not good. Roshon Johnson avg. six PPR FPPG. They need depth at least.
- Running Back
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Wide Receiver?
- Let’s be honest, the Bengals have one of the best rosters in the NFL. If they lose Tee Higgins, then they’ll need another WR. If not, run it back. Joe Burrow would have been MVP if CIN didn’t blow so many leads. Ja’Marr Chase won the Triple Crown and Higgins himself was a Top 5 fantasy WR as a “number two” option.
- Wide Receiver?
- Cleveland Browns
- Quarterback
- Pop quiz: which team has had the most starting quarterbacks since 2000 (25 seasons). Shouldn’t take long… Cleveland has been a waste land for Number 1 overall picks, National Champions, high-level free agents, traded players and once incredible promises (DeShaun Watson). Jameis Winston is fun for us. He doesn’t win games. The Browns need to try again.
- Quarterback
- Dallas Cowboys
- Wide Receiver
- CeeDee Lamb will bounce back to a Top 3 WR in 2025. I’m confident of that. Who else is there to help Dak Prescott though? Let’s say Dallas drafts Boise State Heisman Finalist Ashton Jeanty. Awesome. They’ll still need a wideout. Perhaps they entice Higgins or trade for Deebo Samuel. Regardless, they’re not getting past the Eagles or maybe even the Commanders without another playmaker.
- Wide Receiver
- Denver Broncos
- Running Back
- Bo Nix could use another weapon on the outside, but Sean Payton needs a stable RB he can trust. We know he’s going to use a committee which is frustrating for fantasy, but he’s got platoon guys. He needs a versatile back who can be his “Kamara” in DEN.
- Running Back
- Detroit Lions
- Wide Receiver?
- The Lions are loaded. They just need to stay healthy. Another option at wideout could help diversify the pass game and add depth, but they’re good as is.
- Wide Receiver?
- Green Bay Packers
- Wide Receiver
- It pains me to agree with Josh Jacobs, but I will in this case. GB has like seven dudes who are good. None of them are great. Jordan Love is just hitting his prime and Jacobs should be solid for another two or three years. The Packers need a dominant receiver to take them over the top. We know they don’t traditionally draft WRs in the First Round of the NFL Draft, but… that may change.
- Wide Receiver
- Houston Texans
- Wide Receiver
- The Texans were set to explode in 2024 after C. J. Stroud won OPoTY, acquiring Joe Mixon, Stefon Diggs and getting Nico Collins back healthy. Unfortunately, everything went wrong. Diggs and Tank Dell were lost for the season. Mixon was RB8 in PPRPPG, but the offense was stuck in the mud all season. HOU needs another reliable target in the pass game with Dell already out for 2025, Diggs coming back from injury and a short window left for a tiring Mixon.
- Wide Receiver
- Indianapolis Colts
- Quarterback? Probably Wide Receiver
- Anthony Richardson is still very raw as an NFL QB. We’ll see how long he lasts. For now, let’s say he’s IND QB for 2025. That means they’ll need to secure another weapon. Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce were WR41 and WR43 respectively. Yikes.
- Quarterback? Probably Wide Receiver
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Wide Receiver
- Brian Thomas Jr. and Evan Engram are two RazzBall favorites, but who else is there? Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby? I’ll let you decide who’s the better option. Christian Kirk was the first free agent added two years ago. He’s barely played due to injuries. JAC has 10 picks in the upcoming draft. I assume 2+ will be at receiver.
- Wide Receiver
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Depends…
- Does Travis Kelce retire? Are Isaiah Pacheco, Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown back healthy? Chiefs are the Chiefs. They’ll be in the race as long as Patrick Mahomes is healthy.
- Depends…
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver
- Gross. The Raiders are a mess and need to “rebuild” (as if they haven’t been for 20 years). We’ll see what Tom Brady can do in the front office, but I’m not excited about anyone other than Brock Bowers as of now.
- Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Running Back
- JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards gave a valiant effort coming off injuries and moving over from Baltimore, but both are one play away from ending a game, season, career. Kimani Vidal is a fun option, but not a feature back. They need depth at minimum.
- Running Back
- Los Angeles Rams
- Wide Receiver
- With Cooper Kupp on his way out, LAR needs another threat opposite of Puka Nacua. The Rams are still suffering draft pick depth, but expect them to make a splash in free agency.
- Wide Receiver
- Miami Dolphins
- Coaching Philosophy
- Honestly, the ‘Phins are solid for fantasy if they get back to their 2023 roots. MIA was 16th in passing yards per game in 2024. They were 2nd in 2023. Tyreek Hill claims he wants to stay which is great, but does he? Can Tua Tagovailoa stay healthy? Will Jaylen Waddle leave each game with brief injuries? Can DeVon Achane and Jonnu Smith remain Top 5 options at their positions? The players are there (for now). Air it out!
- Coaching Philosophy
- Minnesota Vikings
- Quarterback
- They may have him in-house already. JJ McCarthy lost his season before it started last year, but Sam Darnold resurrected his career until the final two games. Do they bring in a vet until McCarthy is ready? Aaron Jones has at least one more season in the tank. Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson are one of the best trios in the league. Who’s going to get them the ball?
- Quarterback
- New England Patriots
- Wide Receiver
- The Patriots are a more promising version of the Raiders. At least they have a quarterback. Rhomandre Stevenson isn’t a long term option (although they paid him to be). Their focus needs to be in the passing game though. Quick, name three pass catchers on the Patriots… exactly. Hunter Henry was TE12. Nobody else was usable in fantasy. That needs to change in a hurry.
- Wide Receiver
- New Orleans Saints
- Pass catchers
- The Saints have a lot of question marks heading into 2025. Does Derek Carr retain his starting role? Will Kendre Miller stay healthy and out of the “dog-house”? Can Chris Olave recover from a concussion that took him out in Week 9 and eventually landed him on IR once the Saints were out of the race? Does Taysom Hill return after a torn ACL at 35? Kamara is the only sure thing. I love Kellen Moore coming in as HC. Let’s hope he has weapons.
- Pass catchers
- New York Giants
- Quarterback
- Assuming Tyrone Tracy and Malik Nabers don’t suffer a ”sophomore slump”, the Giants are looking nice for the next few years at RB and WR. Maybe Theo Johnson even stays healthy at TE. Regardless, someone other than Tommy DeVito needs to chuck the rock.
- Quarterback
- New York Jets
- Quarterback
- Aaron Rodgers is done in New (Jersey) York. The Jets will need to draft another rookie QB or hit free agency. Either way, that’ll determine how we perceive NYJ in 2025. Breece Hall is solid when healthy and Garrett Wilson is a legit WR1 without Davante Adams. Depth at WR is essential too, but it all starts with QB.
- Quarterback
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Um… nothing? Literally.
- Maybe a third WR or second TE?
- Um… nothing? Literally.
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Wide Receiver
- George Pickens is great when he wants to be. However, he doesn’t seem happy. The Steelers have a long history of diva WRs flaming out prematurely (Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Martavis Bryant, etc.). Let’s hope more opportunity and production keeps Pickens fantasy relevant. Najee was fine, but it seems like Jaylen Warren will be getting more involved in 2025. PIT has made a habit of finding great values on Day 2 of the NFL Draft at WR, so I expect them to continue the trend if not through free agency.
- Wide Receiver
- San Francisco 49ers
- Either nothing, or a lot…
- This is a major offseason and the Niners. Christian McCaffrey seems to be on track to return Week 1. Does Brandon Aiyuk? Do they trade Deebo Samuel? Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall showed out when able too. Kittle got a 4-year extension. We love that. Do they bolster their RB corps behind CMC or add another WR via trade, free agency or NFL Draft? We know John Lynch isn’t shy about making moves.
- Either nothing, or a lot…
- Seattle Seahawks
- Wide Receiver
- Is DK Metcalf even the true WR1 in Seattle? Jaxon Smith-Njiba was WR9 in PPR, Metcalf was WR32. Tyler Lockett will most likely walk in free agency. If he does, I can’t imagine them relying on Jake Bobo solely as WR3. Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet are a solid duo. Noah Fant is fine, but lacks upside. I expect the Seahawks to make a move via trade or free agency and definitely during the NFL Draft.
- Wide Receiver
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Wide Receiver
- Chris Godwin (WR9 in PPRPPG) may return, but I doubt it. Assuming he doesn’t, the Bucs will need another wideout to complement Mike Evans (WR9 in PPRPPG) and Jalen McMillan (WR8 in PPRPPG Weeks 14-18). Baker has been on fire the last two seasons. Bucky Irving was the best rookie RB in the league. Cade Otton isn’t as exciting as we want him to be, but they won’t be replacing him. Another WR in Tampa makes sense.
- Wide Receiver
- Tennessee Titans
- Oof. They could and should add at every position. Seriously.
- Will Levis wasn’t good, but it’s hard to judge someone throwing to Calvin Ridley, Treylon Burks, Chig Okonkwo, and…? Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are solid enough that they’ll probably target WR as priority. Let’s hope they do. Regardless, I don’t see myself getting too excited about anyone in TEN outside of fantasy roster depth pieces to fill bye weeks and waiver adds.
- Oof. They could and should add at every position. Seriously.
- Washington Commanders
- Maybe the most interesting team on this list. They could/should add a running back (or two) and a wide receiver (or two). Maybe even a tight end.
- The Commanders made it to the NFC Championship game before getting embarrassed by the Super Bowl Champs in Philly – but so did the Chiefs, so… Much of WAS’ success came from Jayden Daniels though. The kid is special. He was QB5 and finally brought Terry McLaurin to life as the WR5 in PPR. Washington doesn’t really have a steady WR2 though and unfortunately the once great Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson Jr. both averaged just 11 PPR points and missed a combined seven games. They’ll need to add depth at both RB and WR. Ben Sinnott and the resurgent Zach Ertz should be fine at TE for 2025.
- Maybe the most interesting team on this list. They could/should add a running back (or two) and a wide receiver (or two). Maybe even a tight end.
