(UPDATED 9/9) Here are the rankings. Be careful, they are rife with peril!

Fantasy Football Rankings powered by FantasyPros

  1. herschel says:

    @Doc: and were back….can you please clarify, whats ECR again? thanks!

  2. CL says:

    You da man, Doc!

    Here’s my bench, I need to dump someone to pick up my kicker, who should it be? Also, who goes into my W/R slot?

    WRs: G. Little & Andre Roberts
    RBs: D. Ward, Kendall Hunter, & Daniel Thomas

  3. douglas says:

    rife with peril, indeed. But thanks. can’t believe actual football is like 32 hours away. Not that I’m counting.

  4. CL says:

    also, I could pick up delone carter and dump another backup RB from above… who wouldt hat be?

  5. Doc

    Doc says:

    @herschel: Expert’s Consensus Rankings I believe. From all the people the post their rankings on Fantasy Pros.

    @CL: I’d dump Roberts. Looks like Doucet and Heap will hurt his looks. Watch Foster’s status. If he doesn’t go it’s Ward for sure. If he does I’d lean Little.

    @douglas: So close!

    @CL: Tough. If Foster looks ok I’d drop Ward for him.

  6. DDT says:

    1 pt. PPR league. I need to start two of these five: M. Austin, Amendola, Tolbert, Britt, or A. Collie. I’m leaning Britt and M. Austin, but am wary of Miles’ hammy. Any thoughts?

  7. Tom says:

    Are the rankings available in printable format, either as text in a long post or as a spreadsheet link, or otherwise?

  8. Eng says:

    Thanks Doc, your shizz is a tremendous help. BTW, if you were handcuffing would you rather have ol’ Shaun Hill or young Timmy T?

  9. Plainview says:

    12 team non-PPR league – need to start 2RB, 2 WR and 1 flex (RB/WR/TE). I have:

    Shonn Green
    Ryan Mathews
    Mike Tolbert
    Roy Helu
    Dez Bryant
    Mike Thomas
    Lance Moore

    I was planning to start:

    Shonn Green
    Ryan Mathews
    Dez Bryant
    Mike Thomas

    But, I could see an argument for starting Mathews and Tolbert. Thoughts? Thanks.

  10. PF says:

    Thanks for the rankings!

    12 tm non-ppr league with flex rb/wr. any suggestions?

    QB – Ryan, Kolb
    RB – AP, Felix, B Jacobs, J Stewart, Ridley, B Scott, Delone
    WR – VJax, Dez, Manningham, Greg Little, Meachem
    TE – Daniels, Cook

    available – cam newton, jerome harrison, leon washington, derrick ward

    on the block – MJD, DMC, Hillis, Romo

  11. BAM says:

    Hey Doc,

    Deciding between Lynch or Bess in my flex spot this week. Who makes more sense to you?

  12. flyinhawiianpizza says:

    Hi Doc –

    I know you have them ranked 16th and 17th respectively, but would you start Felix over Beanie at RB2 (non-ppr)?

  13. Joel says:

    In my non-ppr league with a 2rbs, 2wrs and a flex, my rbs are CJ2K, Ingram, Jacobs, Mcgahee and D carter. I was really high on Ingram last week, but for some reason am beginning to freak out a bit that he’s my sole rb2, and I’m beginning to get the vibe that payton really means it when he says a split.

    If u were me, would u trade Ingram for deangelo? Is DWill a “safer” rb2 both for this week and the season? THANKS!

  14. Tim says:

    I am really tempted to grab Delone Carter off of the wire, but don’t know whether I want to drop anyone I have.

    WRs: Megatron, Percy, Amendola, Lance Moore, Denarius Moore, Knox

    RBs: McFadden, Bradshaw, Ingram, Reggie Bush, Tolbert

    It’s PPR starting 3 WRs, 2 RBs, and a flex. Would you drop any of them for Carter?

  15. Joel says:

    as a follow up to #12, I can also trade Ingram for Blount. So, can u rank Blount, Ingram and dwill for me as we go into the season? Should I trade Ing for either, or both?

  16. B.o.B. says:

    Am I wrong to say these rankings look more like season rankings than Week 1 rankings?

  17. DDT says:

    One more Q: non-ppr, who are you feeling more–Beanie v. CAR or Felix Jones v. NYJ?

  18. abe says:

    Hey doc,
    I’m considering dropping Roy Williams in a non-ppr league and picking up Harry Douglas. I feel Williams doesn’t have much upside whereas Douglas is younger, faster, and in a more explosive offense. Would you do this?

  19. Get off my Ditka says:

    @Doc: Doc,

    here’s my RB situation. I’m STACKED!

    I got,
    JAmaal charles, jahvid best, shonne green, beanie wells, cj spiller, delone carter, roy helu, stevan ridley and delone carter.

    I’m contemplating packaging 2 of these RB’s for a stud #1 to go along with Charles. I’m guessing to get anything good in return i’m going to have to give up 2 of these 3
    best, greene, and wells.

    If you could only keep one of these 3, who would it be (who should i try to keep?). I’m thinking Greene, and trying to package wells and best for CJ or forte or ray rice.

  20. OaktownSteve says:

    @Doc: Jacobs @ Wash or Lynch @ SF?

  21. Get off my Ditka says:

    delone carter x2 … haha (2 is always better than 1).

  22. Doc

    Doc says:

    @OaktownSteve: Jacobs

    @Get off my Ditka: In PPR I’d keep Best in Non, Greene. Sounds like a good idea.

    @abe: The upside is there with Douglas, but he is still third on the depth chart. Will be hard for him to make a big impact unless someone is hurt. Roy may be completely droppable soon, but he for some reason is still on top of the depth chart.

    @DDT: Felix

    @B.o.B.: How so?

    @Tim: I could see maybe Moore or Knox. I usually rather have RB fliers than WR because the payoff is more.

    @Joel: I wouldn’t. They have a tough matchup week 1 so it is a little scary, but things will get easier for Ingram.

    @flyinhawiianpizza: Yeah.

    @BAM: PPR Bess, Non Lynch

    @PF: I’d hold

    @Plainview: I’d go with your first thought

    @DDT: He practiced today. As long as there isn’t a set back you should be ok.

    @Eng: Hmm, both have decent upside if the starter goes down. Stafford has more risk of that so I would lean Hill.

    @Tom: They aren’t, but you copy and past into excel

  23. Jake says:

    (Sad) Peyton Manning owner here….drafted a week too early, damnit.

    My league rewards BIG pts for elite defenses (equivalent to that of a top 3 WR or RB). PIT is my def and I’m feelin good about that. Unfortunately though, I didn’t plan well and Flacco is my only current backup at QB (facing PIT in week 1).

    Even though Flacco ranks highest on your Week 1 QBs, would you consider starting any 1 of Hasselbeck (@ JAX), McNabb (@ SD), A Smith (vs SEA), or even Collins (@ HOU) over him?

  24. genghis chone says:

    just drafted, thoughts? Does this look like a championship squad or do I need to upgrade at QB? 2 QB league, PPR, 10 teams. Lance Kendricks, Deji Karim, Cam Newton, Matt Hasselbeck, Rex Grossman (barf) are FAs. Thanks!

    QB Vick
    QB Orton
    RB Forte
    RB Felix Jones
    RB/WR Hightower
    WR Hakeem Nicks
    WR Dez Bryant
    TE Gronk
    K Feely
    BN Fitzpatrick, Ingram, Ben Tate, Britt, Julio Jones, Amendola, Denarius Moore, Jared Cook

  25. Tim says:

    @Doc: Thanks, but which Moore – Lance or Denarius?

  26. Mr2Bits says:

    God I miss this side of Razzball. Grey is going to be missed until April.

  27. Dad says:

    I love this time of year. BUT, my girlfriend booked a plane ticket for me to fly out Thursday evening and back to Chicago on Sunday afternoon.

    @Doc: Karim or Delone Carter in a non-PPR (i have neither MJD or Addai – just looking for some upside on my bench)

  28. Jake says:

    Hey Doc….

    Seems like you might’ve missed my comment (#23).

    Any thoughts? I’d probably need to make the FA pickup tonight.

  29. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Jake: Tough call, but I’d probably just ride it out with Flacco at home.

    @Dad: Carter

  30. Chuck Norris says:

    I have a WR/RB and a QB/WR/RB/TE flex to fill with these players: Britt, Felix, Tolbert, Campbell. My gut is Tolbert and Jones, what do you think? Thanks!

  31. B.o.B. says:

    Well the title across the Rankings says 2011 “Position” Rankings, the matchups all say null, I see Peyton Manning ranked 4 and he’s out, Mendenhall ranked 6 despite playing Balt, Garrett Hartley is ranked 6 and he’s out. Not sure if I’m missing something…

  32. Chubb Broccoli says:

    Hi Doc.

    .5PPR (+.2PPC)

    I’m not sure what to do.

    For my flex, I need to decide between Ingram and Amendola. I was leaning towards Amendola for this week, and I need to make the decision soon (as Ingram goes tomorrow)

    Now I see that Sean Rice is DTD.

    Should I just start Ingram and then make a game-day decision between Rice and Amendola?

  33. timSTi says:

    @Doc: 12tm non PPR, Fitzpatrick is best available Manning replacement. Who do I drop? D.Thomas, L.Moore, J.Starks, or J.Ford?

    Don’t like having to drop any of them but I need a QB.

  34. Cobby says:

    In a PPR league, who would you rather have for the season?

    Charles & Austin
    McFadden & Nicks

  35. Megatron Lives says:

    Hey Doc, I need to fill my WR2 and my flex spots with Sidney Rice, Jacoby Ford, Jordy Nelson, and Fred Jackson. 0.5PPR. I’m a little concerned about Rice not practicing. Rice/Jackson, and Ford/Jackson (if Rice sits)?

    Who would you keep on your bench from the bottom of the barrel?
    Andy Dalton, Matt Hasselback, Tarvaris Jackson, Hill/Kitna/Tebow

  36. Doc

    Doc says:

    @B.o.B.: That’s not what I’m seeing.

    Is anyone seeing the rankings like B.o.B. is?

  37. MJD Took A Knee says:

    Congrats on joining Rotoworld that is pretty sweet. I think some others using FantasyPros are having problems with rankings for week 1.
    I see first 5 for QB RB..

    P Manning

  38. Tim says:

    That’s why I wanted Carter. Thanks!

  39. MJD Took A Knee says:

    I see week 1 rankings now

  40. B.o.B. says:

    Well I opened an IE browser (currently using Firefox) and it’s showing the Week 1 rankings. Some reason my Firefox is showing your Season rankings. Is anybody else experiencing this?

  41. Tim says:

    Oh and I don’t see what B.o.B. is seeing. It says Week 1 Rankings and they look right to me.

  42. Dan says:

    hey Doc love your site, can you help me?
    my league has a wr/te flex, wondering who to start. its PPR, 20 yards receiving per point instead of the traditional 10.
    my choices are: mike thomas, danny amendola, jimmy graham and aaron hernandez.
    Thanks man!

  43. Marty Funkhouser says:

    @Doc: Rankings show up fine on my end.

    Who would you drop out of Lance Moore, Ochocinco and Marshawn Lynch? Couldn’t find any takers for a trade and I need the roster spot for a kicker.

    Leaning Marshawn since I have Rice, Felix, Knowshon, Greene and Hightower in front of him (and the Seahawks reek of cabbage).

  44. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Marty Funkhouser: I’d drop Marshawn since you are deep at RB.

    @Dan: Loving Graham with Lance Moore out.

    @Bourne: leaning Starks and Amendola in PPR

    @MJD Took A Knee: Thanks. Yeah, it’s hard to tell what the problem is, but most are seeing it correctly I think.

  45. DANgerous says:

    So I was offered a trade in a ppr 2 player keeper league that I am in. I have AP-Keeper, Rice-Keeper, Turner, Fliex Jones, R.Bush, Jacobs at RB, Colston, Percy, Braylon, Mike Thomas and Lee Evens at WR. Romo and Mcnabb are my QBs. We start 1-qb, 2-rb, 2-wr, 1-flex, 1-te, k, p, and def. We get 1 point got every 5 rec. I was offered Rivers, Hightower, and Nicks for my Rice and Edwards. Im pretty high on Romo but upgrading my WR and being able to trade romo away also helps…but rice is my boy! Do I pull the trigger?

  46. paulzone says:

    would you drop either Sims-Walker or Evans for AJ Green or Denarius?

    would you drop ward or spiller for ridley?

    10 team 0.5 ppr, start 2 rb / 3 wr:
    qb-vick, stafford
    rb-gore, bradshaw, green, starks, spiller, ward
    wr-calvin, welker, sims-walker, evans (not too happy w 3rd wr)
    def-giants (might switch to browns)

  47. craig says:

    Romo or kolb?

  48. Alex says:

    Would you start Beanie Wells or Percy Harvin in a flex spot this week? PPR.

    Thanks in advance

  49. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Alex: Leaning Beanie since I just haven’t seen enough out of the Harvin/McNabb connection (but I do think it will be good).

    @craig: Romo, but he is going to have his hands full.

    @paulzone: I wouldn’t drop Ward just yet, but I would grab Green for MSW.

    @DANgerous: Do you have to give Romo up in this trade or are you talking about trading him after you get Rivers?

  50. DANgerous says:

    No Romo is not part of the trade. Just rice and Edwards for Rivers,Nicks, and Hightower. Again I still have Turner,Reggie Bush, Jacobs, and Felix and AP at running back. I’m defendig champ and would love to repeat.

  51. Lubey says:

    Your ranks say null in google chrome but are fine in internet explorer……….weird.

  52. Ball3r says:

    Hey doc, you’re the man!

    Got two questions for ya:

    I have a choice between Reggie Bush or Tim Hightower for a flex spot (in a ppr league)

    I am also having a difficult time picking a WR3 out of these for a ppr league as well: Lee Evans, Jacoby Ford, Earl Bennett, and Antonio Brown… I’m leaning toward Jacoby Ford, but it seems like he could be all or nothing (esp vs. Champ Baily), Earl Bennett might be a sneaky play since it’s ppr, and Lee Evans might get a bunch of targets in single coverage since Pit will be trying to stop Rice/Boldin…. Your thoughts?

  53. TD's n Beer says:

    Hey Doc, love your site. Im in a PPR league and need your help for flex would you start Amendola or Mendenhall, for TE start, Kendricks or Jared Cook.

  54. paulzone says:

    @Doc: Sorry Doc, but AJ Green is taken, available wr’s are:

    royal, burleson, gaffney, breaston, berrian, ford, smith (phi), benn, sanders, little, crabtree

    You like anyone above better than MSW right now?

  55. HotCorner306 says:

    I have a dilemma. Gotta pick between Schaub and Stafford as my #2 QB. Which one would you go with for this weekend matchup?

  56. surfmonger says:

    hey Doc, thanks for your help; I drafted a great team this year.

    Need a little help with my RB starters. Pick 2… R Rice (remember last yr vs Pitt?), D Williams, or hightower.

  57. DDT says:

    Tolbert, Miles Austin, or Amendola as my week 1 FLEX? 1 point PPR. I’m leaning Tolbert. What say ye?

  58. TD!BoJax says:

    Standard scoring, WR/RB Flex, who do I start: Mario Manningham, Brandon Jacobs, or Willis McGahee?

  59. Doc

    Doc says:

    @TD!BoJax: Manny

  60. herschel says:

    @Doc: ppr league, assuming foster doesnt play, who do you like more at flex, bjge or ward?

  61. Randy says:

    Burleson was just dropped in my league for Cobb.
    I already start Calvin Johnson and J Best.
    My WRs- CJ, D Bryant, Amendola, A Brown, Hester, Gibson
    1 pt for 20 returns yards…
    I also have Kendricks as my back-up… Really curious to see who Bradford throws to this week…
    My RB’s- JC, Best, D Williams, R Mathews, D Ward
    Do you think I should grab him? and if so who do I drop? I could use my high waiver priority #4 out of 12(season not weekly) or hold and hope he doesn’t get picked up?

  62. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Randy: I wouldn’t use your priority on him. If he clears waivers I’d drop Gibson for him.

    @herschel: Leaning Ward, but close

  63. debar says:

    gotta drop one: garcon, jacoby ford, burleson, thomas jones, meachem

    also: lost peyton, cutler’s my backup. any of these guys better for the year, or should i play qb musical chairs all year: fitzpatrick, sanchez, mccoy, mcnabb?

    one more: someone has stafford as vick’s backup, and someone has both flacco & freeman. rest of my team looks like: jennings, ap, blount, hightower, sidney rice, dallas clark. i was thinking blount for stafford, but that would weaken the one position i was comfortable with. any other reasonable trades that won’t cripple my team?

  64. Random Collmenter says:

    just traded beanie, burleson, and collie for chris johnson.

    is there something i don’t know, or is this the steal of the century?

  65. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Random Collmenter: You win!

    @debar: Garcon or Jones depending on where you need the depth. I can see Blount for Stafford, but that is as high as I would go.

  66. joel says:

    I can trade deangelo to get legarrette. who would u rather have this season? non-ppr, tds are worth 5, rush and receive yds are 1 pt per 20. THANKS!

  67. B.o.B. says:

    Standard 10 team H2H league…need to decide on a WR3 this week between Mike Thomas, A.J. Green, Amendola and Garcon. Also I have Felix Jones in my flex for now but real nervous with his matchup vs. the Jets and sorta leaning McGahee and his high TD chances. Please help! Thanks Doc, you da man!

  68. Randy says:

    With Colston out for a while now and Moore still injured do you think Henderson is a good add?

  69. Doc

    Doc says:

    @joel: I’d stick with Blount

    @B.o.B.: I’d stick with Jones and go with Thomas.

  70. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Randy: Maybe for next week, but that’s about it.

  71. genghis chone says:

    pick 2, PPR: Hightower, Britt, Dez Bryant

  72. Wilsonian says:

    Deep 2 QB league. I’m strong with the starting two (Big Ben/Schaub), but Garrard was my only bench QB. We have a limit of 30 moves and I’m already at 6. Are any of these guys worth picking up out of the pool (and yes, I know this is some deep shizz):

    Favre – you never know when he’s coming out of retirement

  73. uncle mowglie says:

    hey Doc,

    Is Jimmy Smith covering Wallace ?

  74. Doc

    Doc says:

    @uncle mowglie: either him or Cary Williams.

    @Wilsonian: Well, Whitehurst will probably start first. I could see grabbing him.

    @genghis chone: Hightower, Britt (starting to worry that Revis might cover Dez)

  75. Killer Joe says:

    Non-PPR, who do you like better at flex this week, Brandon Marshall or Shonn Greene?

  76. Greg says:

    With Foster most likely out. I need you every trusty advice. I need your best advice and a whiskey coming your way!

    As my flex play in PPR – Mike Tolbert or Julio Jones?

    Many thanks.

  77. sos says:

    In a 12 team dynasty, I see Jordy Nelson is available. With a 250 cap and about 11 left, what kind of blind bid should I be looking at? Thinkin 2 or 3 dollars and if I get him at that price, how many year contract do you think? I can give up to 5 years but don’t usually go more than 2 or 3…

  78. sos says:

    Also, pick two of the three to start…Hasselbeck, Cutler, Green Ellis…(.5ppr w/ an offensive player position)

  79. Project_Badass says:

    Non-ppr league

    Would you trade Hightower and Steve Johnson for Mike Wallace?

    My team:
    QB- Ryan
    RBx2- JC, Greene
    WR/RB- Hightower
    WRx2- Roddy White, Steve Johnson
    WR/TE- Jered Cook
    TE- Dallas Clark

    Bench RB- Tolbert, McGahee, Ridley
    Bench WR- Sidney Rice, Austin Collie, Amendola
    Bench QB- Fitz

  80. Carlos says:

    All 3 of my guys on Thursday went over 10 points. Unfortunately, my opponent has Brees (33 points) so I have to pick the rest of my roster intelligently to get a W. Would you start Earl Bennett over Miles Austin this week (bum hamstring, draws Revis Island)? Or pick up Emmanuel Sanders/Antonio Brown and play one of them over Austin against the Ravens? Thanks Doc

  81. Doc

    Doc says:

    @sos: Hass/Cutler

    @sos: I’d give 3 and go for 2.

    @Greg: Leaning Jones in PPR.

    @Killer Joe: Greene

  82. Sam says:

    Dallas Clark or Jacoby Ford in the flex spot?

  83. Bearly Legal says:

    Should I go with Marshawn Lynch or Reggie Bush as my #2 back? I have AP as my #1 and I’m really strong at WR (A Johnson, L Fitzgerald and D Bowe). Also Romo or Freeman? kinda like Freeman’s matchup.

    Thanks Doc!

  84. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Bearly Legal: Bush, Romo for me. I just think Romo is going to throw and throw. He’ll have picks, but yardage and probably a couple TDs.

    @Sam: Clark. I like Ford’s upside more, but Collins should lean on Dallas.

  85. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Carlos: I like Bennett.

    @Project_Badass: Ugh, I don’t think so, but I would want to! But no.
