With 14 teams of bye in the next three weeks, there’s no more important time to strengthen your roster and lock down the right streamers. So let’s get into our streamers and stashes for Week 10.

To keep things simple, we’ll define a streamer as any player you wouldn’t usually start who is a viable option for this week. They may be on your bench or they may be on waivers, depending on your league. We’ll define a stash as any player you can probably find on waivers that you should stash for the future, either because they have a favorable match-up coming up, or because they could become a future fantasy starter.

I’ll also be reporting my streamer record from the season to date above each section, to give you an idea of what to expect. Strong finishes mean top third of starters at the position, moderate means the top half of starters and a bust is anyone else.

QB Streamers (10 strong, 4 moderate, 5 bust):

  • Player: Sam Darnold
  • Matchup: Jaguars

The Jaguars remain the best quarterback matchup in football and Sam Darnold now has his full array of weapons available thanks to the return of TJ Hockenson. While he made some errors against an improving Colts defense last week, he still put up over 300 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns. I would expect another Top 10 finish is very possible this week.

  • Player: Jared Goff
  • Matchup: Texans

The Lions have leant heavily on the run in back-to-back blowouts, with Jared Goff amassing 229 total yards across the past two weeks combined. This week though, Detroit faces once of the league’s best run defenses in Houston. The Texans are, even more conveniently for Goff, a Top 10 quarterback matchup. Goff is a solid, though risky, start this week.

QB Stash:

  • Player: Bo Nix
  • Matchup: Chiefs

Pre-season Ben would be very surprised, but Bo Nix is on a real tear at the moment. After managing fewer passing touchdowns than rushing touchdowns through the first month of the season, Nix has now found five straight Top 18 fantasy finishes, with most of them in the Top 9. He’s unstartable against the Chiefs but he faces the Falcons in Week 11 and that’s a matchup I want to attack!

RB Streamers (17 strong, 7 moderate, 6 bust):

  • Player: D’Andre Swift
  • Matchup: Patriots

He was disappointing against the Cardinals, but D’Andre Swift is an absolute must-start against the struggling Patriots run defense. He’s losing goal-line carries to Roschon Johnson which is a serious concern but on volume alone, you need him in your lineups. He may then be a sell-high.

  • Player: Tyrone Tracy Jr
  • Matchup: Panthers

So, I guess I have to say it again, don’t I. Always start running backs, kickers and DSTs against the Panthers! This week, it’s the new Giants starting running back, Tyrone Tracy, who gets the league’s best matchup. Despite a shock win over the Saints last week, the Panthers have opened five points underdogs even though they’re at home. I’m backing Tracy to have a big game.

  • Player: Rhamondre Stevenson
  • Matchup: Bears

Since returning to the starting role in New England, Rhamondre Stevenson has been appallingly inefficient. He’s averaged under 3 yards per carry in the last three weeks, but he’s also pulled in 10 receptions and 4 touchdowns. The Bears are the best matchup he’s faced in some time, so this is a good opportunity for Stevenson to lock down this starting role or at least find the end zone again.

RB Stashes:

  • Player: Trey Benson
  • Matchup: Jets

James Conner is one of the Cardinals’ best weapons but in Week 10, Drew Petzing made a concerted effort to get Trey Benson more involved early in the game. Benson’s previous carries came in blowouts and suggest Arizona would like to transition more of Conner’s work onto his rookie backup. The other benefit of stashing Benson is Conner’s injury history. Through seven seasons, Conner has never played every game. An injury isn’t inevitable, but it is certainly on the Cards. Pun intended.

Running backs get injured more than any other player in fantasy, with the average Top 36 running back missing two games per season in fantasy. For that reason, your best bet in fantasy is to roster running backs who are an injury away from an every-down role. Each week, I’ll be listing my favorite RB stashes, only including players you won’t be starting most weeks.

Top Handcuffs: Braelon Allen, Tyler Allgeier, Zach Charbonnet, Blake Corum, Ray Davis, Roschon Johnson, Devin Singletary, Cam Akers, Kimani Vidal.

WR Streamers (5 strong, 12 moderate, 10 bust):

  • Player: Tank Dell
  • Matchup: Lions

I copped some flack last week for putting out an article to start Dell after he had already played (I’d written it the day before) and frankly, rightly so. This week, I’m getting in early. You absolutely must start Dell in a fantastic matchup against the high-flying Lions and their low-flying secondary.

  • Player: Jauan Jennings
  • Matchup: Buccaneers

If he’s healthy, and that’s a big if, I’m putting Jauan Jennings out there against the Buccaneers. This game has shootout written all over it and, with Brandon Aiyuk out, Jennings could easily be involved in the high-scoring fun.

  • Player: Khalil Shakir
  • Matchup: Colts

With Amari Cooper missing last week’s game and Keon Coleman badly banged-up, Khalil Shakir is the only Bills wide receiver you can rely on. Against the Colts, I would be shocked if he can’t make it four consecutive weeks with double-digit PPR points.

WR Stashes:

  • Player: Quentin Johnston
  • Matchup: Titans

Quentin Johnston had a true breakout in Week 9, topping 100 yards for the first time and doubling his previous second-best yardage. But the Browns are just quietly one of the best out-wide matchups around. This week he faces the Titans who… aren’t. I need to see Johnston do it again, ideally with DJ Chark healthy, before I trust QJ moving forward.

  • Player: Diontae Johnson
  • Matchup: Bengals

Plenty of people are already giving up on Diontae Johnson after his very quiet start for the Ravens. This is insane. Johnson will have a significant and clear role in one of the league’s best offenses and is a great pickup or buy-low. But I wouldn’t start him until he’s returned to a full snap count.

  • Player: Kayshon Boutte
  • Matchup: Bears

Kayshon Boutte is running the most routes of all Patriots receivers, but in back-to-back tough matchups he’s only turned his 12 targets into 64 yards. He gets another difficult opponent this week in the Bears, but in deeper leagues he has the kind of upside that makes him worth stashing.

TE Streamers (6 strong, 2 moderate, 9 bust):

  • Player: Taysom Hill
  • Matchup: Falcons

The Saints have been brutalized by injuries, with Alvin Kamara their only healthy player among their top three running backs and top three wide receivers. The Falcons should provide a high-scoring matchup meaning Taysom Hill will likely be relied upon for his touchdown-sniping goal-line runs again. He’s best in non-PPR but even in a PPR league I’d consider him.

  • Player: Mike Gesicki
  • Matchup: Ravens

In my Saturday Start/Sit Show on my Youtube channel I suggested Mike Gesicki was my favorite sneaky start last week as he’s excellent when Tee Higgins is out, but that he’s even better when the Bengals are trailing. Against the Raiders he was the TE1, so imagine what he can do against the toothless secondary of the high-flying Ravens when the Bengals will likely be chasing points all game? This is another great spot for Gesicki, assuming Higgins remains out.

TE Stash:

  • Player: Ja’Tavion Sanders
  • Matchup: Giants

Ja’Tavion Sanders has been a fantasy monster when Tommy Tremble has been out but a totally toothless when Tremble has played. Surely the rookie finally earns the starting job after his 87-yard outing against the Saints? Well, I need to see it before I believe it, but I’m putting him on my bench to wait and see.

K Streamers (9 strong, 5 moderate, 4 bust):

  • Player: Younghoe Koo
  • Matchup: Saints

He’s been quiet the last three weeks, but the Saints are the second-best kicking matchup in the league and Younghoe Koo is an excellent kicker. He’s my favorite option if he’s available in your league after his series of poor outings.

  • Player: Jude McAtamney
  • Matchup: Panthers

If Koo’s not, this guy definitely will be available! Your weekly “playing against the Panthers” winner is Jude McAtamney. Who? Does it matter? Just focus on the opponent.

DST Streamers (12 strong, 1 moderate and 5 bust):

  • Player: Los Angeles Chargers DST
  • Matchup: Titans

Yes, I’m going back to the Chargers well AGAIN! They’ve been a top three DST the last two weeks and have a pretty high ownership percentage but given you possibly have them on your roster from last week, I’m just suggesting you start them again.

  • Player: New York Giants DST
  • Matchup: Panthers

The Giants have had a torrid schedule so far this season, managing at least four sacks in 6 games so far this season. Given their opponents, that’s really impressive and great news if your league’s DST scoring particularly benefits sacks and other plays rather than low point and yardage totals. This week, the Giants are massive favorites against the Panthers, who will likely struggle after their shock win against the Saints (see how the Browns reacted in Week 9). Oh, and always start DSTs facing Carolina!

Please note I won’t be listing any kicker or DST stashes as you should never roster more than one of either of these positions.

14 team dynasty superflex league where my QBs are Dak, Baker, and Rudolph how much of $99 of FAAB should I spend to try to get Cooper Rush?

    • Ben Wasley says:
      (link)

Hmm it really depends how long he’s out for and your current record. If your team is strong but you just need another QB, I’d go $20-40. If you’re struggling and you’re desperate to win now, I’d go for even $50-70. But it really does depend on how many other people in your league are desperate for QB and how active the waiver wire is. It’s possible in some leagues of this type he’d go for under $10 and in other leagues someone would go all-in.

Are Tracey and/or Dowdle an add over Mason?
What about over Javonte Williams? He is sooo inconsistent.

Can you rank these 6 ROS?
    Herbert
    Kyler
    Nix
    Darnold
    Baker
    Stroud

Do you expect to see more of what we saw last night from Hopkins? How would you rank him vs Downs?

    • Dude says:

Also, can you rank these TEs ROS?
      McBride
      Kraft
      Hockenson
      Andrews
      Laporta

Is it worth holding onto Hockenson, Laporta or Andrews in 1 TE leagues if I have other options?

      • Ben Wasley says:
        (link)

ROS I have them McBride, Hockenson, LaPorta, Kraft then Andrews. McBride and Hock the only ones I’d hold as an upside backup.

    • Ben Wasley says:
      (link)

Yes, I like Tracey and Dowdle over Mason if you need a starter. Though Mason has more upside if CMC gets injured again. So if it’s a pure bench stash, I prefer Mason.

ROS I like: Kyler, Darnold, Baker, Nix, Stroud, Herbert

I would anticipate Juju coming back hurts Hopkins but he may still have some good weeks. I like Downs better.
