As we approach the back half of the fantasy season, I am switching gears to focus on trade targets. I will look at WRs who can help you gain an advantage in your upcoming matchups and peer into the fantasy postseason. Making trades can be difficult but I will provide players you could theoretically package to acquire your new asset. Next week I will look at RBs, then QBs/TEs.

  • Player: Garrett Wilson
  • ROS Rank: WR12

Things have turned around for Wilson after a sluggish start. The Jets offense looks to be gelling at the right time and to me, it appears the game is slowing down Wilson. Don’t overlook he’s getting acclimated with Rodgers in their first season together. Over his last four games, he’s the WR1 or WR2 depending on your league settings. During that span he ranks second in yards (371), third in targets (37), and fifth in TDs (3).

Looking ahead, Wilson will have an easier second half with a top-10 schedule for WRs. In Week 15, when most fantasy playoffs begin, he’ll face two teams who each rank within 10 of the friendliest defenses to WRs with the Jaguars (4th) to start then follow up with the Rams (7th) in Week 16.

Trade away: CeeDee Lamb or Tyreek Hill | Package: Zay Flowers and Tony Pollard

  • Player: George Pickens
  • ROS WR Rank: WR22

I mentioned Pickens in our Week 10 Podcast and will do so again for those who missed it. What I like most about Pickens is the change of QB from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson. Wilson is a superior passer with a great deep ball that allows Pickens to be his best. I’ve seen enough in two games to believe more is on the horizon. Pickens has totaled 175 receiving yards, one TD (two TDs called back in Week 8) with 207 air yards, and a ridiculous 20 yards per reception with Wilson.

You might be concerned about the acquisition of Mike Williams, but honestly, it should help Pickens. Williams should draw the attention of opposing defenses, thus allowing Pickens to operate in single coverage. I cannot forget that the Steelers WRs have the fourth most favorable schedule for the rest of the season with two games against the Ravens, who allow the MOST fantasy points to WRS.

Trade away: Marvin Harrison Jr. or Jayden Reed | Package: Jaxson Smith-Njigba and Rachaad White

  • Player: DeAndre Hopkins
  • ROS Rank: WR25

He’s the biggest fantasy winner of the trade deadline becoming the alpha WR for Patrick Mahomes. He now looks to take on the Rashee Rice role, which was very useful for fantasy until his injury. In four games, Rice averaged 21.4 points, which would be the highest mark of any WR this season. Hopkins secured two TDs off a healthy nine targets in his first full game as a Chief. That’ll work for me

The Chiefs will have to rely on Hopkins to keep their offense afloat and their aspirations to three-peat while going undefeated. Rookie WR Xavier Worthy isn’t quite ready and no one appears to be a threat for targets outside Travis Kelce. His upcoming schedule appears more difficult on paper, but I see weekly WR2 finishes. For the fantasy postseason, he has smash starts against Cleveland (3rd) in Week 15 and Houston (5th) in Week 16.

Trade away: Darnell Mooney or D.J. Moore | Package: Tank Dell and Nick Chubb

  • Player: Rome Odunze
  • ROS Rank: WR46

This recommendation might be controversial due to his boom or bust-potential with Caleb Williams. However, Odunze is slowly emerging as the WR you want in the Windy City.  He nearly has an identical snap share share rate the Bears de facto WR1, DJ Moore. Moore has not surpassed 33 yards in three straight games and had a “c’mon man” moment, walking off the field during a play.

At 4-4, the Bears are only two games back from the Vikings and have a legitimate chance at the playoffs. He’ll have two games against Detroit (6th) and Minnesota (2nd), who all the most points to WRs in the slot and Odunze has scored the most points by Bears WR in the slot.  I like being a shareholder of a player whose team has something to play for during the playoff push. Odunze is coming off his second 100-yard game and should exceed expectations down the stretch as the Bears have the BEST schedule for WRs.

Trade away: Keon Coleman or Jakobi Meyers. | Package: Jalen McMillan and handcuff RB
