This week is a play in week for a lot of readers, so it can be looked at as an extra playoff week. I certainly have a couple of leagues that I am looking to make a final push to snag a spot in the post season, including our writer’s league. It’s not looking great thanks to Michael Thomas disappearing on Thursday night. But hey, miracles happen.

Weather

The weather in Cincinnati is going to be unseasonably warm, but it is going to be windy. This could affect the passing game for the Bengals and the Broncos. There is a good chance that there will be snow in Green Bay for the Packers vs. the Cardinals. There is expected to be rain for the Bears and the Giants, the Vikings and the Patriots, and the Panthers and the Buccaneers.

Stefon Diggs or Tyler Lockett this week in a standard league? Already have D Cook going at RB, so not thrilled about two @ NE. Thanks in advance!

i really am not an AP apologist here as i watched about 6 of his games last year both with NO and ARI and he was pretty horrible, and i thought it was just so WAS (re: stupid) to sign/start him as a bell cow in preseason (even after guice injury). his shittier side lately i don’t think is caused so much by his “age being shown” so much as WAS lost like 2 O-line guys right before he went off the cliff. also WAS has continued to lose any/all WR from those who were supposed to be their starters all season long, a.smith being himself i’m sure that box got stacked like this person in other window i have open currently, and now lately even a.smith is gone. AP has of course been playing through injuries lately BUT that could’ve been said at ANY week this year, including all the good ones back when they had a healthy line. oh yeah, and thompson has missed most of year, reed sure looks to be showing age. basically every possible issue on offense they sure have.
to sum up (this is probably the saddest gross out all to happen to an offense in same season in a while)
O-line: missing at least 2 guys
RB: thompson out for a long time
WR: started year as one of weakest units, all of them hurt now, playing entire string of backups
TE: reed showing his age/injured career body
QB: currently starting a 3rd stringer (deserving of that anyway)
and AP still around. it’s possible even the hunts/barkleys/leveons/melgors/gurleys would have issues doing well here.

    .5 PPR league

Gus Edwards @ ATL or Spencer Ware @ OAK?

Josh Gordon v MIN or Tyler Boyd v DEN?

Jamies Winston v CAR or Aaron Rodgers v ARI?

Spencer Ware. Gordon. Can’t believe I’m going to say this but Jameis.

  7. JC says:

Best flex option…..AJ Green or Doug Martin? For context, I had Ingram and Lutz Thursday. So I am now projected to lose by 12 points. Martin’s one TD is not too inspiring but it did come last week. Injury, wind, backup QB v incompetent offense. What a choice

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

Yeah, I don’t know how much the Raiders will lean on Martin against a high scoring Chiefs team. I could see Martin getting 5-8 carries if things get out of hand. I’d start Green here, I think Driskel is fine

MB – need to make right call on which TE to start in PPR today :
    – Reed vs Skins (Mon night)
    – Cook vs Chiefs
    – Njoku at Texans

    Thx!!

Here’s a good problem to have. Have to sit one of these six guys:

    J Mixon
    N Chubb
    S Ware
    A Brown
    K Allen
    S Diggs

Leaning Diggs now, but I have some doubts. Maybe Allen or Ware?

JAX coming back at home in division game (for D of course not O), might send some luck owners out of playoffs (assuming they were bubble on that)

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

@The Harrow: also it’s sure looking like a lack of doyle is really hurting IND (he’s the good blocker not ebron)

  17. Beware the Shit Rope says:
    (link)

WTF! why is edmonds vulturing ALL DJ TD’s.

      • Beware the Shit Rope says:
        (link)

@MB: true, but anybody who’s ever owned a NE RB in the past (outside of post burkhead this year’s michel owners, which i am in 4 spots) is used to that one, pretty sure DJ hadn’t ever been a vulture issued guy.

  18. Beware the Shit Rope says:

good lord there is a LOT of disgusting offensive play this week from at least: MIA, CLE, BUF, CHI, CIN, IND, JAX, ATL, BAL, and NYJ, OAK, SF haven’t even played yet. and i didn’t include GB or ARI. a lot of these make sense of course (CIN, JAX, MIA, BUF, ATL (from BAL’s D)), but there are going to be SMALL winning scores this week.

  19. Super Terrific Carpal Tunnel Virusy Box vs Mail Robot (who wins) says:
    (link)

yikes, me picking reynolds over jeffery, sutton and landry. landry finally does something (i think that’s only his 2nd good game with mayfield now), only jeffery actually ranked higher this week though for half PPR. figured DET would be better at bottling up at least one of cooks/woods leaving production for reynolds, not so. or everett either. i’ll probably stil lmake playoffs in that league, but if i don’t it might very well be this decision.

  20. The Harrow says:
    (link)

looks like we should’ve been adding NYJ D not TEN hahahah. at least we all got the game right.

  21. The Harrow says:

see drake needs the luck breida has, every time the coaches over at SF town try to give his touches away that guy gets hurt (in breaking news that only seems unrelated a map of haiti was recently reported to have fallen out of breida’s locker).

  22. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

wow, and the refs get even worse if that false start TD gets to count, esp since don’t they have to review ALL scoring plays? well at least the ref might get fired, that would be best (well other than just say maybe REVIEWING A SCORING PLAY for instance)

  23. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

that’s hilarious, gotta be a record a team that tries to get away with 3 straight offsides on a game winning FG attempt. did they think “hell one of these times the refs won’t notice it, i mean they don’t call false starts on other scoring plays right”

  24. Cade Mangrum says:

I have a bit of a dilemma at my flex this week. I need to decide whether I’m going to play Ekeler, Boyd, or Jeff Wilson there. What do you think?

I’m in a PPR league and this is the first week of our playoffs.

    Much appreciated!

I like Wilson this week, he looked good last week. If you’re not comfortable with that, Boyd.
