Did you survive the first Byemageddon?  Thankfully, I was able to win both home leagues and my #SFB14 squad collected enough points for me to move forward.  I split my other charity or ‘fun’ leagues.  We want to use Week 12 as a springboard to a string finish and a deep playoff run.  You will see fewer names below as we focus on prepping your rosters for the playoffs more than we will for a mid-season waiver week.  Do not forget to insulate your team(s) for Bymageddon 2.0 as Week 14 presents another serious strain on your starting lineup(s) with the Ravens, Broncos, Texans, Colts, Patriots, and Commanders taking a post-Thanksgiving break.

An additional, small consideration for you, the reader, as you move through my weekly columns is to understand that a waiver article is not a mandate from me to add/drop players each week.  Sometimes the best move is the one you do not make.  I fully understand that waivers and trades are top of the fun list in fantasy football but remember winning trumps all other fun things in fantasy football.  Take the following names as options, considerations for your squad versus must-add players.  Only add players when it makes sense for you and your team(s).

Do not forget the @Razzball NFL team of writers will be hosting our Sunday Morning Start/Sit podcast every week starting three hours before kickoff all the way up to the official start of the early games.  Bobby – @BobbyLaMarco, Sky – @SkyGuasco, Derek – @Derek_Favret, and me/Matt – @stiles08, will be answering all your questions to help you win your weekly matchups.  Come for the analysis and stay for the laughs!

WAIVERS:

ADD OF THE WEEK = Gus Edwards – 26% rostered vaults up the ranks based on the J.K. Dobbins knee injury.  Due to the short week, after playing on Monday Night Football, and the lack of clarity on the seriousness of Dobbins’ injury, Gus becomes a must-add in standard formats and a viable RB2/FLEX in PPR formats.  It will not be flashy, but it will be effective as the Chargers take on the Falcons coming off their bye.  The TD potential is high whereas the yardage may not reach the century mark.

QB: Taysom Hill – 62% rostered had a career game in Week 11 and sat for the bye in Week 12.  That week off probably helps heal his body while allowing the Saints to plan more touches for the QB/TE.  The King of all Super Flex plays should continue to see touches with the top two Saints WRs on IR.  I normally do not place a player over 50% in this article but felt it appropriate to do so with a player that can change the landscape of your team.  Imagine being able to use him in place of Lamar Jackson/Mark Andrews in Week 14.  Or in place of Jayden Daniels/Zach ErtzTaysom Hill is a league winner.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Jameis Winston – 14% rostered (just beat the Steelers and throws all the time)

Derek Carr – 13% rostered (off his bye and throwing enough to be valuable)

RB: Ameer Abdullah – 24% rostered put up solid numbers (16 PPR points) if you think you can stomach adding/starting a Raiders player not named Brock Bowers.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Devin Singletary – 46% rostered (Tracy is the clear RB1 but has a case of the fumbles recently)

Justice Hill – 20% rostered (passing down and change of pace for the Ravens; still has Week 13 bye coming)

Kenneth Gainwell – 2% rostered (will never put up Saquon numbers, but garbage times points count as much as first quarter points; could be huge is Saquon rests at any point)

Jeremy McNichols – 1% rostered (keep an eye on the Austin Ekeler concussion situation)

WR: Sterling Shepard – 5% rostered.  Widely available.  Led the Bucs in targets though yards were atrocious.  Appears to be top slot WR option for Tampa Bay.  Baker throws a lot.

Honorable Mention/Cheaper Options:

Noah Brown – 10% rostered (10 targets in Week 12; bye week ahead)

Sterling Shepard – 7% rostered (bye week is gone; Bucs have easy schedule; Mike Evans should return moving/keeping Shepard in the slot to fill the Chris Godwin role)

Elijah Moore – 11% rostered (Jameis throws; Cedric Tillman in concussion protocol)

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – 12% rostered (TD in six of past seven games mean we should at least consider the guy)

TE:  Add Will Dissly – 24% rostered to your list of potential adds as he is seeing more targets each week and has zero competition at the position for the Chargers. From the Westbrook-Ikhine file, we need to consider Noah Gray – 4% rostered and his back-to-back 2 TD games.  If Cole Kmet – 46% rostered is still hanging around your waiver wire, check out his 10 targets in Week 12 and know the Bears are throwing enough to keep him busy.

Remember, you do NOT have to make a move each week.  You do not have to force trades.  If you look at your roster and a hole does not immediately jump out to you, then maybe your team is good to go for Week 13.  If you see a hole (injury, bye, underperformance), then start looking at options to make your team better.
