Here is the Rush Defense statistics for the last 7 weeks of football.

[table “10” not found /]

Each number is the ranking that the teams have in that particular statistic over the last 5 weeks.  For example, Pittsburgh has given up the least amount of rushing yards per game so they have a “1″ under the “Yds/Gm” column.  The ranking on the left coincides with the average on the right.  The higher the number the worse their rush defense stats are.

Rank: Overall ranking of each team.

Team: The team that is being evaluated for their defensive strength.

Opp: The team with your fantasy players

Yds/Gm: Total rushing yards given up per game

RB FPA: Fantasy points allowed to running backs

Yds/c: Yards Per Carry

TDs: Rushing touchdowns allowed

DVOA: Defense-adjusted Value Over Average

Average: The average of each each individual ranking. (this makes up the overall ranking)

I got through round one even with Rodgers…so now i am stuck with either Freeman vs Detroit or I picked up Collins vs Houston…I am thinking I don’t play Rodgers whether he plays the real game vs New England or not…whaddaythink?

@danimal35: I really don’t think Rodgers will play. I have Freeman and Collins pretty close, but I’m leaning Collins.

A Shot of whiskey on your way for some good analysis. I’m in the final four but I don’t win my 1G back unless I make the Superbowl. PPR league

AP or Blount? I know you will call me crazy but AP is played like crap last week. With an unproven QB and the game being outside in Minesota this game looks like a trainwreck and low pt total of the week. AP will see 8 in the box EVERY PLAY. Chicago is 2nd in Run Defense. I believe in not benching your studs but I think this is an exception. Blount has Detroit who is soft against the Run. Plus, I also have Freeman so this gives me the QB/RB combo.

Arizona or NE D? Arizona has the pathetic PAnthers. NE is on fire and Rodgers probably won’t go.

let me know I am anxiously awaiting your analysis. I’ll pay the whiskey now as a good faith estimate :)

    Doc says:

@Greg: Thanks Greg. I have been thinking about this AP problem for a while and I do find it hard to bench him, but with Joe Webb at QB I think the Bears will stack the box. They’ve had trouble with AP in the past, but they did shut him down earlier this season.

I would go with NE if Rodgers doesn’t go for sure, but AZ if he does.

    Good luck
