Who should I put in for my flex spot in a PPR League

    Ahmad Bradshaw @ Indy
    Michael Crabtree vs Saints
    Shonn Greene vs New England

    thanks

  2. Lou says:
    (link)

i’m contemplating trading Bradshaw for Crabtree in a 12 tm PPR (draft was before preseason so i ended up w/ SJax, P.Thomas, and Best… can only start 2 so Bradshaw will never see my lineup). Your one of the few writers that hasn’t dropped him to a fringe starter. Whats your take on this move?

I have Fitz, Percy, and Mike Wallace as my starters then i drop off to Louis Murphy and Mike Williams (Sea) territory.

  3. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

@Lou: I think I need to see Crabtree play up to his ability. He’s pissing me off. I think you could get better for Bradshaw.

  4. mark says:
    (link)

So you would choose Bowe over Maclin?

  5. mark says:
    (link)

I also picked up Clayton from the Rams on Waiver with Jackson.

    http://fantasy.nfl.com/league/283628/team/6

This is my team, any advice on my weaknesses and strengths? Also who to start Week 2.

  6. Daniel says:
    (link)

Legedu Naanee is putting me in a tough spot because he’s available on my league’s waiver wire. I love his upside and would like to own him, but it would cost me losing Felix Jones (who, at the moment, is probably my 5th best RB). Is it worth it?

  7. Matt Leinart says:
    (link)

Moss is #4 even as he goes to Revis Island? That seems high. . .

  8. LMack says:
    (link)

Hmm. Got me pondering. Standard scoring, non-PPR.

    Felix Jones vs Chi
    Michael Crabtree vs NO
    Malcolm Floyd vs JAC
    Jacoby Jones @WAS
    Fred Taylor @ NYJ

I can start only 3 of them. First person I’m placing on the bench in my mind is Fred Taylor. If the Jets played Ray Rice to the tune of 5 points, I can’t see Taylor putting up great numbers. Next one’s tough. Which 3?

  9. waiters says:

    pick 2 to start

    nicks
    boldin
    moreno

    thanks.

  10. Howie Met Your Mother says:
    (link)

So I just got offered Ray Rice for my Arian Foster and Legedu Naanee in my 10 team Yahoo league with a flex. I take this trade right?

    My (potential) team:

    QB: Flacco
    RB: Chris Johnson
    RB2: Rice
    WR: Austin
    WR2: G.Jennings
WR3: S.Smith (NYG) or Mike Wallace
    TE: Finley
    Flex: Forte or Ahmad Bradshaw.

Bench: Mike Williams (TB), Kevin Kolb

  11. Ian says:

You like Harvin more than Royal in a PPR/return yardage league (assuming he practices today)?

  12. D-Up says:

  16. Clyde Prompto says:
    (link)

Howdy, Doc. I have Forsett and M. Bush as extra RB depth, and Ricky Williams and Cadillac are available on waivers. Would adding either of them be enough of an upgrade to burn my waiver priority? Thanks, Huckleberry.

  17. Jim Parkey says:
    (link)

Naanee ranked ahead of Floyd? Floyd was targeted more than Naanee, and the Naanee’s numbers were higher only due to one reception in blown coverage. Not sure I’d be ready to drop Floyd below Naanee.

  18. Steve Mc says:

Need to start 2 of the 4 at flex in a PPR league. Thoughts?

J Stewart, Floyd, Driver or Sims-Walker

  19. stumanji says:

    WR2? Floyd or Naanee.

    Flacco, big ben
    rice, mcfadden, felix jones, hillis
    marshall, boldin, bowe, crabtree (flex)
    Vernon Davis

A team that has both McCoy and PThomas said theyd trade one for either boldin or marshall. Clearly, I need a RB2 upgrade, would you pull the trigger on one of these backs? If so which one do you prefer and which WR would you prefer to trade?

OR wait to see if mcfadden finally flourishes, bowe and tree to play well to inflate their values again in hopes to trading one of them? Tried trading VDavis and a QB but had no takers

Finally, would u use hillis/jones/crabtree as your flex this week?

    Thanks

    Bernard Pollard @ Was
Adrian Wilson @ Atl (the guy just doesn’t get many tackles).

Keep Garret Hartley over Bryant, Nugent, Gano, Scobee, Mare, Nedney, etc? Are these kickers a dime a dozen?

    Thanks for your help, Doc!

  24. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

@mark: I would. Your lineup looks good.

@Daniel: I’d hold onto Jones for now.

@LMack: I like Jones upside, but Washington does have a good secondary so I’m leaning toward sitting Jones.

@waiters: Nicks and Moreno unless Nicks is questionable.

    @Howie Met Your Mother: Yep

    @Ian: Yeah

@D-Up: Leaning Ten, but very close.

@joey joe joe jr. shabadoo: Jeez, that is close. I like Jacobys chance for a TD better.

    @Cole: Best. No problem.

@andrew: I really hate Fred this week. Jenkins loss may help him though. Barely leaning his way.

@Clyde Prompto: They are all in the same group right now. I think you might as well stay Daisy.

@Jim Parkey: Floyd dropped a couple passes. Naanee just looked better.

    @Steve Mc: Floyd and Stew

@stumanji: Moreno and Naanee. Floyd vs. Naanee is pretty much a toss up in my mind.

@timmy riggins: I’d take PT for Boldin there. Probably play Jones.

@RAK: I still like Knox. Giving him another week.

  25. Doc

    Doc says:

@Rookie Season: Moreno and keep Hartley for now. Try posting your IDP question in IDP Freely. Matt is much better than me.

  26. Wilsonian says:

0.5 PPR league, who do I start in a flex position:

    Breaston, Dez, Beanie, Williams (TB)?

  27. Doc

    Doc says:

@Wilsonian: Beanie if he looks good to go, Dez if not.

  28. Angelo says:
    (link)

Who should I start Terrell Owens, Brandon Lloyd, or Mark Clayton?

  29. Eric H. says:
    (link)

    @Doc: I’m in a 12-team PPR league.

    QB – Aaron Rodgers
    RB – Frank Gore
    RB – Jamaal Charles
    WR – Hakeem Nicks
    WR – Mike Wallace
WR/RB – Jeremy Maclin / Darren McFadden / Michael Crabtree
    TE – Zach Miller

Would you trade Jamaal Charles for Randy Moss if you were in my shoes? I like my young fleet of WRs but I don’t have a clear-cut #1. I’m torn on this.

  30. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

@Doc: thanks Doc…are you thinking Breaston’s blow up last week was a one time thing?

  31. Worried says:
    (link)

Doc I need your help on this – for non ppr league

I feel very iffy about Megatron and banged up Nicks this week. Should I just use them both or go with my alternatives in Bowe and H. Ward? I can only start 2.

  32. Hugh says:
    (link)

Should I trade B-Jax for Miles Austin? The other guy is stacked at WR (he has Hicks on the bench and is starting Austin, Bowe, Malcolm Floyd)

We start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex

I have AP/Best/Hillis/McGahee/B-Jax at RB and AJ/Aromashadu/Knox/Wallace/Jacoby at WR

If I get Austin I would start: AP/Best/Hillis/AJ/Austin
    If I keep B-Jax I would start: AP/Best/B-Jax/AJ/Aromashadu

I’m not sure B-Jax can stay healthy or keep the job all season so I’ve thought of trading him. Is Austin a good offer or should I let him have a big game against the Bills and go for Moss or an underachieving RB like Matthews or Greene?

    thanks

    Hugh

    10 tm Non-PPR

Should I take Jennings for Charles straight up? I offered Jackson and Meachem for Nicks, but have a feeling that will get turned down.

My RBs: MJD, Charles, Matthews, B. Jackson, Felix Jones
My WRs: Megatron, S. Smith (CAR), Crabtree, Gaffney, Meachem

His RBs: Moreno, Gore, Cadillac, R. Bush
His WRs: Jennings, Nicks, Henderson, Knox, Cotchery

    —-

Also, I’m starting Charles over Matthews this week. Thoughts?

  35. Commish Cauda says:
    (link)

    12-team, 0.5ppr

We start 2RB, 3WR and a FLEX. Turner and Bradshaw are my starting RBs, and I just picked up Brandon Jackson for my FLEX, moving Ricky Williams to my bench. I also own Huggins and Michael Bush.

I was just offered Cadillac Williams for Ricky Williams.

Do this deal? It’s just for bench depth/bye week filler/trade bait…but who is the better long term play?

  36. Bryce says:
    (link)

Four RBs, two RB slots, one Flex…I have SJax, RRice, Arian Foster, Brendan Jackson…

I’m rolling with SJax, Rice, Foster. Jackson has a great matchup but do I dare slot him in for any of those other three?

  37. herschel says:

    @Doc: Vick over Ryan?

    Thanks.

  38. VoodoothatYoudoo says:

    Full point-ppr, FLEX:

Legedu, Mike Williams (TB) or Jerome Harrison?

  39. timSTi says:
    (link)

@Doc: In that same league I got offered a trade of Brandon Jackson + Percy Harvin for Greg Jennings.

I’m stacked at WR with Jennings, Austin, Bowe, Knox, + Cotchery.

    My RB’s are MJD, Beanie, F.Taylor, F.Jackson, + Tomlinson.

Is that a trade i should reconsider? 12 team .5 ppr. Keep 2 but sacrifice a draft pick higher than where player was drafted.

just happened to see your comment. I would take that trade for Jennings considering how stacked you are at receiver and how iffy your RB2 options are.

Would it be worth my while to trade either Wallace, Jacoby Jones or Naanee for Vincent Jackson?

    Thanks.

  42. Hugh says:
    (link)

    Doc,

    Last trade question:

How about I trade BJax/Best for MJD?

    Non-ppr. Then I’d start AP/MJD/Hillis AJ/Aromashadu

what do you think? Is that giving up too much for an injury risk?

What about BJax/Hillis for Ryan Matthews?

    thanks

    Hugh

  43. Commish Cauda says:
    (link)

    @herschel: I would this week

  44. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

@Angelo: If Royal doesn’t go I would sneak Lloyd in there, but otherwise I’d go TO.

@Eric H.: Don’t like that drop to DMac unless he really takes hold of that job.

@Wilsonian: Blow up, yes. But he should be solid enough.

@Worried: I would stick with you studs unless we hear Nicks won’t lay or is very questionable. The Sunday night game makes that tough of course. Might be cautious because of that. Stay tuned.

@Hugh: Austin is a good offer for BJax and one I would take. I do worry about Best as your #2 with Stafford out though.

@timSTi: Yeah, those are puke inducing. I’d lean LDT.

@FlyinHawaiianPizza: I actually don’t love that BJax trade for Nicks. Not horrible, but you are buying high on Nicks. I like Matthews against the Jags, but I’m never one to question the upside of JC. I wouldn’t trade straight up for Jennings.

@Commish Cauda: Caddy is the better play based on his number of carries, but it’s pretty much apples for apples as far as long term based on injury history of Caddy and Ronnie.

@Bryce: I think you have to go with your top 3 there.

@herschel: Yeah, I like Vick there.

@Matt Leinart: I wish I knew for a fact. I hear SD wants to screw him, but of course they’ll take a good offer. If it’s just for bench fodder I’d drop Jones even though it hurts to say.

    @timSTi: Yeah, fits your team.

  45. Shippity says:
    (link)

I would like to echo the question on Floyd over Naanee. I don’t necessarily disagree and actually nitpicking 23 from 27 isn’t something I would ever dare to do. I consider anything that close after the first and second tier guys to be a matter of preference of course. With the names removed, swapping 23 for 27 would make no difference at all in my mind, that is. However, with these particular names, in this order, it seems that some statement is being made possibly.

Other comments have brought it up so if you have more to say on it, I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering. I preface here that I relaly like Naanee and actually have him rostered and not Floyd. That said I’ll play devil’s advocate here.

Naanee clearly had the better fantasy day, but Floyd still got more targets and RZ targets as well. I believe he’s still regarded as the number 1 and we can still point to the blown coverage play making all the difference in the results. If singular games and Rivers struggles with the rain didn’t throw enough variance into a result-only analysis already. I can’t speak with authority on what KC did in coverage against the threesome of Gates, Floyd, and Naanee last week but FO says KC was significantly worse against WR2 than WR1 and TE last year . If anyone can chime in or point me to where I can find analysis on how KC matched up last week, that would be great.

  46. Doc

    Doc says:
    (link)

@Shippity: I’m going a lot on preseason and that first game. Naanee just looked more explosive. Floyd more plodding. I think both are the #1 WR right now and are vying for Rivers’ favor and it just looked like Naanee has the edge. Floyd can easily grab that back of course with a good game this week.

  47. Worried says:

@Doc: Thanks for your insight as always. If Nicks sits who do you like better? Bowe or H Ward?
