Week three has given us a lot to soak in. However, the early days of the week often give us some great lines to bet on. Whether it be spreads, over/unders, moneylines, or even a juicy future bet, scrolling through your preferred sportsbook Tuesday morning is never a terrible idea. Get the odds while you can!

Chargers +7.5 @ Buccaneers

There are a couple of spreads that jump out at me right away as favorable for bettors. The first one is the chargers at +7.5 against the Buccaneers. The Chargers, after playing amazingly against the Super Bowl Champion Chiefs, lost to the pathetic Carolina Panthers. However, it was a tougher matchup than perceived, the Panthers have a savvy new head coach and Justin Herbert is a rookie who is bound to make some mistakes. However, the biggest reason for the loss was 3 fumbles. Fumbles are often a metric that is rather random and can drastically sway a game without it reflecting on how each team truly played.

This line seems way too large for how talented the Chargers’ defense is. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have gotten to play two teams in the Panthers and Broncos who are simply not good football teams. Yes, it is that same Panthers team that the Chargers lost to, but if the Bucs got 3 unlucky fumbles their game would have been just as close. The Buccaneers are currently overrated and the Chargers underrated due to the Carolina game. Give me the Chargers +7.5 all day.

Patriots +7 @ Chiefs

I also love the Patriots at +7 against the Chiefs. Bill Belichick has rarely ever been a big underdog in a game. In his career, including playoffs, he is 9-2 against spreads larger than 7 as the underdog. He is simply too good of a coach to set lines that large. I think that it is no different here. Yes, the Seahawks burned that defense for a big night; however, I honestly do not think that Mahomes will do the same. The receiving options on the Chiefs have been kind of lackluster thus far, and I also think that the Patriots may put a bit more pressure on Mahomes than they did on Wilson. Cam Newton has played terrific and this run-heavy offense of the Patriots can play well against the Chiefs. I say take the +7 with Bill Belichick’s Patriots just about every time.

Washington Division Winners +900

The last bet I want to talk about is a team future. The Washington Football Team has +900 to win the division. Washington is playing in arguably the worst division in football. The Eagles and Giants look pathetic, and the Cowboys basically have no defense. Washington’s front 4 that includes a quartet of talented 1st round picks is ferocious. While the defense gave up quite a few points to the Eagles, Cardinals, and Browns, much of that has to do with the offense turning the ball over, including registering 5 turnovers against the Browns this Sunday. I am still on the side that the defense is talented and can easily lead the team to a division victory.

The most exciting piece of news, however, has been that Ron Rivera has come out and said that Dwayne Haskins is not playing well enough and the team wants to win now. This means that it is very possible we get the return of Alex Smith at QB in the future. I think that if Washington sorts out the QB position, then they have everything they need to take this weak division and the odds you are getting are amazing.

One note for this bet is that The Washington Football Team do play Baltimore next week and will certainly lose. You could receive even better odds next week after said loss, especially with the Cowboys, tied for first with Washington, playing the Browns.
