You may be feeling many different emotions approaching the sixth week of the fantasy football season. You might feel optimistic because your team started 5-0, or you might not feel as positively with an 0-5 record. Either way, you need to be starting the best possible lineup in your matchup this week. I’m here to help. Here are my Week 6 Fantasy Football starts and sits:

Quarterback

Start: Tom Brady @ Steelers

After a slow start to the season, Tom Brady has finally picked up his fantasy value a bit. Back-to-back solid weeks put Tampa’s quarterback back into starting consideration. He gets an intriguing matchup against the Steelers in Week 6. Pittsburgh’s defense has been lackluster without T.J. Watt coming off the edge. This is the same defense that just gave up over 400 yards and four touchdowns to Buffalo in Week 5. Considering all of Tampa Bay’s weapons are healthy, this is a prime matchup for Brady to have a big week.

Sit: Matt Ryan vs. Jaguars

It didn’t go particularly well last time Matt Ryan played the Jaguars. No touchdowns and three interceptions was how Ryan was welcomed to Jacksonville. For a Jaguars defense that has played decently this season, the value just isn’t there to start Matt Ryan. It’s unlikely he has a good fantasy week, and any offense that Indianapolis can put together will be on the ground. So I’m sitting Matt Ryan in Week 6.

Running Back Week 6 Starts Sits

Start: Breece Hall @ Packers

Breece Hall had an incredibly impressive performance against the Dolphins in Week 5. With just under 200 total yards and a touchdown (and getting brought down at the one-yard line twice), Hall is the RB1 in New York. Green Bay’s run defense just got mutilated by Saquon Barkley, and a similar outcome could be on the horizon with the Jets coming into town. No matter what the game’s outcome is, Hall’s volume in both the run and pass games puts Hall at RB2 status in Week Six.

Sit: Chase Edmonds vs. Vikings

The Dolphins backfield is Raheem Mostert’s to lose. Chase Edmonds had one carry against the Jets in Week Five. It’s okay to accept that whatever draft pick you spent on Edmonds wasn’t worth it. Move on. The volume isn’t there for Edmonds, and Mostert’s big game against the Jets last week gives the Dolphins’ coaching staff all the reason to keep riding the hot hand. Edmonds is on the bench against the Vikings.

Wide Receiver Week 6 Starts Sits

Start: Curtis Samuel @ Bears

Curtis Samuel has been a surprise for fantasy managers thus far. He’s seen at least seven targets in every game this season. Unfortunately, he cooled down from his hot start, but this is a perfect matchup for Samuel to get back on track. The Bears have one of the worst defenses in the league, and Samuel has quietly become the top option in the Washington offense. In a favorable matchup, Curtis Samuel is a must-start in Week 6.

Sit: Noah Brown @ Eagles

The Cooper Rush-Noah Brown connection was very much alive for a while, but it fizzled out with the return of Michael Gallup. Brown only saw two targets in Week 5, and now the Cowboys face an Eagles secondary that has been decently good against wide receivers. Between CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, and Dallas trying to establish the run game, it leaves Brown out of the mix. So keep Noah Brown on your bench in Week 6.

Tight End

Start: Zach Ertz @ Seahawks

In such a limited position, Zach Ertz has provided one of the few examples of consistency so far this season. With at least six receptions in four out of five games, the Cardinals’ tight end has been in the top tier of the position. He’s been productive every week, and this matchup against a weak Seahawks defense puts Ertz as one of my favorite tight ends this week. Start Zach Ertz.

Sit: Dalton Schultz @ Eagles

Dalton Schultz was my sit at this position last week, and he didn’t prove me wrong. Another zero-point performance puts Schultz on the bench until he shows otherwise. The only game Schultz had any sort of productive performance was Week One, and Dak Prescott was under center for that team. With Dak out in Week 6, there’s no reason to be starting Dalton Schultz. He’s on my bench in Week 6.
