I’m loving my man Ray Rice against the Bills, but of course with insanely good matchups like this it always feels like a let down when they don’t go off for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns . . . . I’m also looking forward to Knowshon Moreno at home against the Raiders.  He still looked like his hammy was cooked last week, but was able to play.  I think this week will tell us a lot . . . . I’m trying to keep my expectations down for Beanie Wells on the road against a good Seattle rush defense, but I’m secretly expecting a decent game . . . .  It once again looks like Pierre Thomas will be out, which gives Chris Ivory a great chance again . . . . If Kyle Boller starts it’s hard to love the Raiders running backs, but we should get to see how Michael Bush and Darren McFadden will be used . . . . Peyton Hillis has finally grown on me.  The guy is an every down back and has better instincts than I thought at first.  So even if the Saints are up big he should still get his opportunities and the Saints rush defense isn’t the best . . . . Ronnie Brown gets to run up against the Steelers defense, but if he survives I’m buying . . . . Onto the rankings . . . .

If Mcfadden is starting do you like him above Ronnie at the Steelers?

Looking for some ideas as to who I should target if I’m willing to move Nicks. Any thoughts appreciated (non-ppr). Thanks!

@Doc: Doesn’t have to be. Looking at maximizing value. It’s also a two QB league…own Cutler and Ben. Thanks Doc.

is this a good trade? i give up Hillis/Amendola/T.Gonzalez and in return I get K.Moreno/O.Daniels? I think I’m ok with WR with R.Moss/Nicks/Holmes/Breaston but for RB I have D.Williams/Benson/Lynch/B.Jacobs (also picked up J.Starks hoping it pays off later). I’m currently 7th in my league. Really like your work, thanks.

  6. Doc

    Doc says:

@Black Beard: Nicks has pretty good value and if you can find a team with poor WRs I could see trying for a RB2. Maybe JC if they are worried about Jones

  7. dc says:
    (link)

I’ve been offered MJD for Hakeem Nicks.
My WRs: Nicks, Fitzgerald, Knox, Maclin
RBs: Hillis, Rice, Chris Ivory, Beanie Wells

    Would you pull the trigger?

  8. Calogero says:

WR – Wallace (Mia), Welker (SD) or Knox (Was)?
Flex – Felix Jones (NYG) or a loser of Wallace, Welker or Knox?

  9. G.O.B. says:

Doc, would you drop somebody like Garcon or Shonn Greene to pick up Bowe?

  10. Doc

    Doc says:

    @maxell: I don’t like it for you

@dc: Yeah, I’d grab Karim too.

    @Calogero: Tough, going with Knox

    @G.O.B.: No

  12. Black Beard says:

@Doc: Crazy not to go Turner and Jennings for Nicks, Moreno, and either Shonn or Donald Brown?

  13. Doc

    Doc says:

@Black Beard: It’s really pretty close. I like Moreno and Greene’s second half upside.

  14. MJD Took A Knee says:

I’d be scared if I played TE this year. Let’s go Garcon value! Sorta crazy how important they are to some teams too.

  15. Black Beard says:

@Doc: Better for me if I do M. Lynch and Nicks for Turner and Jennings?

  16. agarthered says:

So start Turner, Lynch and Bradshaw, bench deangelo?

Who do you start this weekend?

This is my lineup now :

    WR: Marshall
    WR: Boldin
    WR/RB: Colston
    BN: Moreno
    BN: DMC

    It’s a 0.5 PPR; 10 yards receiving/rushing per point; 6 points per TD

    Receiving bonus: 2 points/4 points at 85/135
    Rushing bonus: 3 points/6 points at 100/150

    Thanks dood.

    Moreno
    Jennings

    Celek

    I get:

    R. Brown
    Miles Austin
    Brandon Pettigrew

    My current roster:
    QB – Favre
    RB1 – Rice
    RB2 – Bradshaw
    Flex – Moreno
    WR1 – Nicks
    WR 2 – Marshall
    WR 3 – Jennings
TE – Celek or B. Watson
    K – Janikowski
    D – Cincy

    Bench:
Jacoby Jones, D. Bess, S. Johnson
    R. Williams
    V. Young, D. Garrard
    B. Watson

My team is 2-4 in my league. I’m behind 6 other teams right now for the final 4 wild card spots.

  19. Sean says:

    Scratch that…

I’d get: Miles Austin, Ronnie Brown, Brandon Pettigrew and Hightower.

I’d give up: Greg Jennings, K. Moreno, Davone Bess, Brent Celek and Steve Johnson

    What do you think?

  20. frolfer says:

PPR, and RB’s get points for # of carries.
I’m having a terrible time deciding who to start. Rice is a no brainer, then I need two of Moreno, Torain, Lynch, Ivory. I’m leaning towards the first two, Moreno for the matchup and Torain because I think he’ll get a decent # of carries.

Thoughts? I’m going against my top rival this week and could really use the W!

  21. Angelo Brown says:

Would you trade MJD and Brandon Lloyd for Rashard Mendenhall and Roy Williams
