Week 8 is here and we have some juicy matchups ahead of us. This week I will analyze the best streaming options that can help you win while your starters are on bye.
Quarterbacks
Ryan Tannehill (TEN):Â He gets to face off with a Bucs team who has struggled all year against the pass and opposing quarterbacks. After replacing Mariota as the starting quarterback, he has been playing well. He passed for 300 plus yards and 2 touchdowns last week against the Chargers and it was enough to get the win for his team. I expect a similar outing this week as he looks to keep the train moving.
Derek Carr (OAK): Carr gets a good matchup against the Texans who have struggled against the pass all year. They surrendered 300 plus passing yards and 4 touchdowns last week to Jacoby Brissett. Although I don’t expect Carr to replicate what Brissett did, I do expect him to have at least 250 passing yards and 2 touchdowns in a matchup that I see them losing from start to finish. Plenty of opportunities should come his way.
Tight Ends
Kyle Rudolph (MIN):Â Kyle Rudolph has struggled overall this season but he is coming off his best performance of the year. On a short week, its usually tough for players to overcome an injury which is what Adam Thielen is dealing with. Many people believe he will be held out which should open up more targets for Kyle Rudolph. If Thielen is out, I expect a big game from Kyle Rudolph.
Jordan Akins (HOU):Â He gets a great matchup against the Raiders who have struggled against opposing tight ends this year. His targets have been a little discouraging but I expect him to receive more this game and possibly score. Akins this week is a risky play but could payoff if he scores.
Kickers
Chris Boswell (PIT):Â He gets a nice matchup with the Dolphins in a game I expect the Steelers to dominate from start to finish. Boswell should receive plenty of opportunities to score in this game so he sets up to be a nice streamer this week.
Dan Bailey (MIN):Â I expect the Vikings to blow the Redskins out of the water which should setup Bailey for a lot of opportunities. Bailey is another good streamer this week.
Defenses/ST
Detroit Lions: The Lions face off against the Giants who have been horrible all year on offense. Even with Saquon returning, I just don’t see the Giants posing much of a threat so the Lions setup to be a good streamer this week on defense.
Seattle Seahawks: They face off against the Falcons who have been horrible all year and this week they don’t expect Matt Ryan to start. With Matt Ryan they have been bad but without him they should be even worse. Fire up the Seahawks defense this week and thank me later.
