Welcome to the bloodbath that is week 9 fantasy football, where everyone has Covid but we’re just going to play through it! But seriously, I’m hoping for the best when it comes to the well-being of our celebrated superstars. Speaking of superstars, GUESS WHO’S BACK? Christian McCaffrey will step back onto the field and do what he can to make up ground for those who picked him #1 overall this year. Another superstar is expected back as well. Michael Thomas! Just in time to play my Bucs of course. Man, I wish another teammate called him a slot receiver to set him off and make this an easier matchup for the Bucs after he inevitably punches the guy and gets suspended.

Speaking of, looking at you Javon Wims, if someone is going to get in a brawl this week, quit punching helmets! It’s not worth getting suspended if you can’t get a clean face shot. Go below the shoulder pads, work the body. Save your fingers and knuckles, I’ve heard those are valuable. Especially for wide receivers! This is all coming from a guy who has never been in a street fight. But I did fight once in an unsanctioned local MMA event years and years ago. Maybe I will tell you all that story some day. Anyways, lets get to the injuries and updated rankings for week 9 of the fantasy football season!

        Thanks!

Was just offered my Chase Edmondsfor his AJ Brown.

        Current 10 team PPR roster (start 2 RB/2 WR/1flex):

        RB: McCaffrey/MDavis/MSanders/Edmonds/JTaylor/Lindsey

        WR: Metcalf/Godwin/ARob/Gallladay/Cooks

          MB says:

          I’d probably take that

          • Chud says:
            (link)

Cool – I countered w adding my ARob for his CCarson.

            So I’d trade Edmonds/ARob n get his AJBrown/Carson.

            Accept it?

  3. Kevin says:

    Good morning and Happy Sunday,
I need a flex in a ppr league. Crowder, Laird, Manny Sanders, Shenault, or Gus Edwards? Is LaMichael Perine worth hanging on to?

    Thanks

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

      Gus the Bus

depends on depth I’d give him another week or 2

  4. MisforMookie says:
    (link)

As usual, trouble deciding who to start (std league)

TE: Gronk or Andrews? Gronk has been playing well but might be dwarfed with Godwin/Ab/Evans. Andrews has been disappointing with BAL run heavy.

Flex: Pick one of: Gronk, Andrews, Jefferson, Godwin, AB, J Taylor, Wilkins

Also at this point what are you doing with Taylor? Is he just a drop? Hope that Wilkins takes over? Essentially the entire IND backfield is either on my team or available. Otherwise I have Jones and Robinson at RB, also McKinnon on bench.

    Thanks

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

I’d roll out Gronk with how hot he is

I’d put Jefferson in the flex

JT is a sell or hold. Not ready to drop yet

  5. William Hung says:
    (link)

Calvin Ridley is more doubtful than questionable

    • William Hung says:

Also how is ECR for Godwin so low????

      MB says:

Official tag is still Q, was when I wrote it too

      • William Hung says:

Oh yeah, i was just saying what I saw like 5 mins. before I wrote my comment – more of an update than a correction

    Drop Cousins for Bridgewater

  8. Allan says:
    (link)

With Ridley not expected to play would you roll out Amari Cooper or Mike Williams ppr? Coop’s QB situation is worrisome, plus Pittsburgh D is good, but Williams has been feast or famine this year. Thanks.

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

      Mike Williams.

I put my own money on the Mike Williams yardage over

  9. JC says:

Yesterday you recommended Beasley and Crowder over Edwards in a standard scoring league. I noticed in an answer above you now prefer Gus over Crowder. Something change?

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

I may have mixed up Edwards somehow and was thinking about Brian Edwards. I’d go Gus. I’m sorry about that

      • JC says:
        (link)

No worries. I could have been more clear on the options.

Worried there’s too many hands in Seattle backfield today.

      Yeah, Jefferson

  16. Larry says:

      Yep

  19. Nightpandas says:

Any concerns with Harris due to Sony bring back?

Got Harris at flex in 2 std leagues

Alternatives would be Jefferson, Gallman or Crowder in one league and Wilkins or AP in another

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

I’d probably go Jefferson. I think Harris is better, but never know with Belichick

  20. Udabest says:
    (link)

    Pick 2: Gus/dobbins/Dallas/Wilkins

    U da best

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

      Gus/Dobbins stack

  21. William Hung says:
    (link)

damn, i hope Godwin overperforms his ECR or if this is the expectation, my drafting this season was really a mess. It also continues my incredible bad luck with drafting WR1s

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

Tampa WRs have been an anomaly

  22. William Hung says:
    (link)

Goddamn it David Montgomery – I hate to admit that Rotoworld is looking like a genius right now

  23. Pete says:
    (link)

Was planning on playing the Bucs defense against NO. Would you drops them and do Arizona v. Miami instead? Don’t want to but in a close matchup this week and second guessing…

    • William Hung says:
      (link)

This is a gut call – no right/wrong answer when it comes to Team D… WFT was a consensus top 5 pick and look how that worked out

  24. Zandy says:
    (link)

Pick 2 – MThomas, Godwin and Gronk?
    0.5 ppr

    • MB

      MB says:
