I had to make a tough decision last weekend. Not like actual real-life tough, but fantasy football tough. As you may know, I was touting Odell Beckham Jr. throughout the preseason and recommending not trading him throughout the season. I know, my bad. Since I often draft who I recommend drafting I had to make the decision in two leagues whether or not I wanted to start him in the playoffs. I chose to bench Beckham for Robert Woods in one league and Zach Pascal in the other. And I won both playoff matchups by a combined 7 points. Choosing to bench Beckham even though he was playing against the Cincinnati was the difference between getting two teams to the semi-finals or being down two playoff teams.

I’m not typing this to brag or talk about my fantasy teams because I know that nobody cares about fantasy teams that aren’t their own unless, of course, it is their job to. Just don’t be afraid to make the tough decisions for your lineup if it feels like it’s the right thing to do. Even if it means benching somebody that you drafted really early, like Odell Beckham Jr. or Le’Veon Bell. Let’s get to the rankings for week 15.

Need some defensive help – been streaming all season and currently have Dallas. KC, Oakland, Tampa, and The Giants are available (among others). Any recommendations on who to pick up for this week?

      I’d grab the Giants

I’m struggling to get onboard with Higbee after busting out against 2 completely terrible teams against TE. Is there more to his involvement that signals he should be a clear option over Henry, Doyle, Hooper? Does this ranking stand if Everett plays?

I have Andrews, Njoku, Goedert, Gesicki at my disposal but Higbee is the guy? Really?? ::nervous face::

I just know that LA has 4 games with a 100 yard TE and I’m not sure on Andrews health for Thursday but yes over Goedert and Gesicki

MB! I hope you are doing well. This week is the first week of our playoffs. Could you please help me out this week? I am in a ten team .5 PPR league. We do have big play bonuses in my league. Can you help me figure out who to start for week 15? I really do appreciate it.

QB- L. Jackson OR Mayfield OR Goff? (Goff is on the WW. should I drop someone to play him as insurance to Lamar?)

    RB- D. Cook

    RB2- Chubb

WR1- AJ Brown Or J. Washington OR Westbrook?

WR2- Westbrook OR J. Washington Or AJ Brown?

Flex- Fournette OR Waller Or J. Washington OR Andrews OR D. Washington OR AJ Brown OR Westbrook?

    TE- Waller OR M. Andrews?

    K- Tucker OR Butker?

D- New England OR Baltimore OR Philadelphia?

I have Dak (Dak makes me a bit nervous with how hot the Rams are)and Tannihill and figured I’d start Tannihill so a little reluctant to also start AJ Brown. I need 3 of AJ Brown, Mike Gallup, Emmanuel Sanders, Deebo Samuel , Devante Parker(who if healthy I’ll start) & DK Metcalf. Can you rank these based on Tannihill starting?
    Thanks!!

I’d play Tannehill, Brown, Parker, and Emmanuel

Now that Conner is practicing in full, who would you bench (1/2 pt PPR)?

    Conner, Mack or Miles Sanders?

      Sanders

Would you start mostert over gordon or ekeler. Mostert seems like he is trending towards more usage every week. It is hard to sit ekeler with what he has done and how he can score with limited touches. Gordon needs volume. I only have room for 2 of the 3 in my lineup. .5 ppr. Thanks

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

Yeah, tough to bench Ekeler. Honestly not confident either way. I’d probably play Ekeler and Mostert

12 team PPR league redraft. semi finals here and i was best scoring team in season, got 2 buy ins for the most points in season, now trying for the big money at a top 2 finish.
QB (1) dak/ryan (traded for dak, some twit dropped ryan)
RB (2): AAron, mccoy, d-will (part 1, the good one), RJ2, j-will (GB)
WR (2): adams, kupp, sutton, j.brown, lockett (return yardage worth half of scrimmage, so back when they let lockett do returns he was a big deal, not so much now that SEA coach has taken lockett out of returns and they barely throw at him anymore while hollister, d.moore, and some other bums get his targets)
    TE (1): kittle
    1 flex
IR (1): jacobs (sounds back, gotta drop at least one of the KC guys for him probably)

    1. drop the KC 2 (or one of them) now for jacobs back up and could grab laird for the other spot. nobody plays thursday and d-will/mccoy play early sunday so i could wait and see if d-will gets ruled out again, but sounds like he’s back, taking down the value of all KC RB’s (esp thompson i’d think)

    • And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers! says:
      (link)

above i am NOT saying hollister is a bum, he’s quite good and has carved out what appears to be the role jimmer graham never could due to age on this team. but m.turner, d.moore sure are.

      • And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers! says:
        (link)

laird now gone, d.lewis still out there.

      I’d drop D-Will for Washington.

Hah, yeah I know what you mean about Hollister

      Safer to play Brees

  10. Nick says:

Seems like your rankings would agree with me in that I should out my season-long, tried & true TE Andrews for OJ Howard? I have Lamar as well, 12 team, standard scoring, thanks!

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

If Andrews is active I’ll move him ahead of Howard

      • Nick says:
        (link)

Interesting….its such a tough decision, benching Andrews who I started all season regardless of questionable tag but against my weak Jets with 2 otherTEs, feel like Ravens rest him mostly…for Howard, Evans hurt so that helps.

        • MB

          MB says:
          (link)

Andrews ended up being alright, didn’t move him because he was just “giving it a go.”

    Hey MB,

So I’d say I’m a pretty significant underdog in the semis this week going against our 1 seed w/ just one loss this year. I think I’ll be looking for upside, although a zero floor would be the end of my team too.

    I have a few choices. 6pt all TD. -2, -6 INT .5 PPR

Winston, Tannehill or Mayfield…I kinda hate Baker as he’s screwed be all year, but I got this feeling….

Bell or Michel….ugh I know. Bell will have the safer floor I think, Michel the higher ceiling.

Westbrook or Mike Williams. If Chark is ruled out I think I like Westbrook to push the 10 target range. Big Mike well…end of year onslaught coming?? Idk!

    Chiefs or Browns D?

    Thanks bud!!

some of us do actually care about other people’s fantasy stories though. i talk to my friends quite often about theirs for sure, and do even with people at bars and stuff.

12 team 2 QB half PPR dynasty. gotta drop somebody in the next 8.25 hours (yahoo daily- tomorrow settings) if i want to play thielen tomorrow.
QB (2): mahomes, rodgers, tannehill (wow it’s nice to find somebody like this where you didn’t have to draft them, it’s RARE in this league, mahomes i drafted in the 1st round of his rookie year, also had held rosen for a long time), haskins
RB (2): kamara, ingram, ekeler, hyde, michel
WR (3): boyd, edelman, k.allen, j.gordon, watkins, ross
    TE (1): ertz, hollister
    2 regular flexes
    IR (2): thielen
    kicker (1): LAC kicker
    team D (1): PHI
    IDP flexes (4): d.davis, b.martinez, j.hicks, z.cunningham
    IR (2): j.adams

    1. could be hollister or one of the WR for drops (watkins or ross or j.gordon, but the upside on gordon probably makes him a not drop). the remaining FA TE’s though are rudolph and a bunch of crap (excepting i.thomas isn’t crap if olsen retires next year)

    2. guess continue to hold hyde (from volume) over all of these: c.thompson, gus the bus (but he has the handcuff value for ingram), d.lewis, pollard, mal brown, b.scott
