We’ve finally given the public what they want.  We now have our tiers up for your viewing ease for everyone to see.  We are working with Fantasy Pros and their CheatSheetWizard portal and plan on trying to incorporate their data into future with regards to tiered systems but until that day comes, we have our 2012 fantasy football tiers system courtesy of  our baseball Razzball Commenter Leagues guru and all around good guy, VinWins.  This snazzy little link can be found in our 2012 Fantasy Football Rankings.  We hope this is getting things to you just in the nick of time.  We like to think of ourselves as the Keanu Reeves of Fantasy Football: a terrible actor but you’re so caught up in us keeping the bus going 50, you couldn’t care less.  We also know Kung-Fu…woah.  All this to say…well, we don’t know what we’re talking about anymore but we do know the tiers are here so have no fear!  Have a great weekend folks.

Ha, you thought you were done but the cool thing is we have some great news.  We are reprising the Football podcast next week on Wednesday.  Just as a general warning, the voicing will be done not by one sexy voiced man in Nick but our very own JB.  Lady listeners out there, be ready to take the podcast after pill because Razzball can’t afford to father all the crooned out babies these two will produce.  With that, hope everyone has a great weekend and we’ll see you on the flipside!  Flipside meaning Monday, of course.

Thanks! Is there going to be a ppr version as well?

Sorry not this season. Late jump as the new head honcho

@Sky, thanks for the tiers anyway! any tips on developing a ppr tier from your rankings?

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

Sure. High reception guys move up about two or three spaces vs a guy whose high yardage/low reception. For example, I do believe Wes Welker was closer to 7th or 8th in overall for wide receivers when PPR was counted. It shouldn’t be too drastic. Hope that helps

Where do you think Ced Ben will land in these tiers now that he looks to be signing a deal with Green Bay?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Cedric – I hope – is security in case Starks doesn’t work out. I’m not that high on him; he is quantity not quality and there aren’t many carries on that team

  4. K9 says:
    (link)

Ten team league, non PPR (bonus point for every 5 receptions)

    Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer
MJD, DMC, Fred Jackson, Donald Brown, Rashad Jennings (gotta handcuff MJD at this point)
Megatron, Harvin, Maclin, Titus Young, Antonio Brown, Reuben Randle
    Aaron Hernandez
    Texans
    Janikowski

Assuming players stay relatively healthy and I don’t get hit with the Madden Curse, are there any moves you would try to make going into the season?

Like your RBs, though they’re a risky lot. Solid team, should be competitive. I assume this is a 3 WR league? You have a great set of them there.

      • K9 says:
        (link)

@Sky, The running backs were strictly taken by value. MJD slipped to pick 14 and DMC i picked up at 21. I would have loved a safer bet at rb, but I’ll take the high upside with those guys. QB is the one place I’m just not sure.

Nice about the RBs. I am a big fan of Ryan this year and think Palmer is a solid backup plan. I think you’re just fine at QB

Hi, longtime razzballer here. Are you the new Doc? Just checked in on football for the first time and see Sky, not, Doc headlining? He did me proud last year, I’m hoping you’re as good as I have no clue with football! Anyhow, welcome and thanks for what look to be some regular posts (gonna dive in to them over the next week or so).

@Eng, Also, apologies if you’ve already answered this question!

Ha no worries. Yeah, Doc moved on. I hope to do you and Razzball proud too!

12-team PPR keeper league. I get two keepers based on last year’s ADP (6 pts passing/rushing/receiving TDs & 1 pt per reception.)

My first keeper will be Ray Rice in Round 1 and I’m leaning toward keeping Ridley in the 16th.

My first pick after keepers is at 2.01 (13th overall), given the keepers above could you rank the guys I’m realistically targeting with that pick:

    Gronk
    Jimmy Graham
    A.J. Green
    McFadden
    Forte
    Andre Johnson
    Cam Newton
    Ryan Matthews

I am scared to take a TE there, but it might be the best course of action…

@Sky, hey, they got theirs all offseason! They can suck it up..

Nice, I love tiers. Makes drafting strategies a lot more fluid. I have a team and I was wondering if you could give me some insight.

It’s a 10 team league with a flex position that allows a QB

QB: Aaron Rogers, Tony Romo, Jake Locker
RB: Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, Willis McGahee, Peyton Hillis, Ben Tate
WR: Brandon Marshall, Jordy Nelson, Eric Decker, Malcolm Floyd
TE: Jimmy Graham (traded Matt Ryan + Isaac Redman, QBs just fell to me)

    What do you think?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Sorry Eric, was traveling all day yesterday.

For a league that lets you start two QBs, I don’t mind you took Aaron at all. Marshawn should be a strong RB1 and either Hillis or Tate are gonna play big for you this year (big on Hillis). With Greg Jennings having the concussion issues, Jordy makes sense. Decker will all hinge on Peyton. SD is going to have an interesting year with their WRs. Someone is going to make out like a bandit between drafting Floyd, Meachem, or Vincent Brown. And Jimmy Graham is top of his class when it comes to TE along with Gronk. That’s a really solid team, you should be competitive all year, barring injury.

I have #10 pick. How does McFadden and then J. Graham sound. Or would you go running back for both picks or another receiver instead of Graham. Is MJD safe?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

You in a PPR league? No RB is ever safe but I’d do my best to end the first two rounds with RBs. I wouldn’t fault you for taking Grahahm, though, depending on what RBs are on the board at that time.
