Week one is in the books! How did your team do? Let’s see how my players did from last week.

Darnell Mooney– Oh man the weather really put a damper on my expectations for him. With only 3 targets and 1 reception for 8 yards. I do have hope he can develop but going against Alexander this week I do not think it will be a very productive week for him.

Mike Williams– What the heck happened here? Williams only had 2 games last season with 4 or fewer targets, I didn’t think this is how the year would have started. With Keenan Allen out, Williams should have a much better week. Against the Chiefs last season, he had 9 targets in each game for a combined 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hopefully, Williams will see much more production and the end zone with a high-scoring game being predicted.  Rashad Fenton had 5 targets and allowed 4 completions last week, the hope is the ball will be thrown this way to get Williams more targets.* Williams had 10 targets 8 receptions for 113 yards and 1 touchdown. Hope you played him Thursday night.

Marquise Brown–  43 yards and one touchdown isn’t awful, however not what I had hoped for. Can the chemistry develop between Brown and Murray? I still believe it will. Going against Rock Ya-Sin who had 4 targets with 3 completions last week. I’m hoping there will be more targets Brown’s way this week and I’m not giving up on him yet and definitely not this week. I will say this though, the use of Dortch (3 more targets than Brown) had me scratching my head! I’m playing him again this week in my many leagues. I will not be upset with a similar week 1 result however I think it will be a bigger role for Brown this week.

Courtland Sutton/ Jerry Jeudy I said it was possible with the circumstances they could combine for 2 or more touchdowns, but that did not happen! While Jeudy did haul in a 67-yard touchdown, that was the only touchdown scored by Denver. I think this is hopeful going forward. I cannot explain why they didn’t have a better night going against a banged-up cornerback core in Seattle, and Wilson throwing 42 times! They did combine for 174 in their first game with Wilson and 14 targets. I think at home this week against the Texans, Sutton going against Nelson who had 7 targets with 4 completions and gave up 49 yards, should see a decent game for fantasy managers. On the other side, Jeudy going up against King who only had 3 targets and 2 completions, for 8 yards might not see as much volume but could pop off another big play.

Who can we look forward to this week?

All week I’ve been eyeing Christian Kirk going against Kenny Moore. Last week against the Commanders Kirk had 12 targets for 6 receptions and 117 yards. This week could produce an even better result. Moore had 7 targets, allowed 4 receptions, and let a touchdown get past him. Hopefully, the chemistry between Lawrence and Kirk continues to improve. I will have no hesitation recommending Kirk as someone who should put points up for your fantasy team this week. *Side note Moore had a limited practice Wednesday and didn’t practice Thursday. Keep an eye on that situation.

This should be no surprise to anyone but Michael Pittman against Griffin could be a game changer this week for you. Snagging 9 of his 13 targets for 121 yards and 1 touchdown in week 1. It’s no surprise this is Matt Ryan’s guy and I see nothing that would produce a different outcome this week. Griffin saw 8 targets last week with 5 completions allowed. Have no fear firing up Pittman this week!

Jaylen Waddle with Hill in Miami now, still saw 5 targets hauling in 4 of them for 69 yards and 1 touchdown. If you missed out on Hill in your drafts and snagged Waddle week 1 should be encouraging for you. If you thought Waddle was going to be irrelevant week 1 proved to be different, will this continue? I think it can, through week 2 anyway.  He’s going against Humphrey,  who last week was targeted 10 times allowing 6 completions. I expect the Ravens to take an early lead forcing the Dolphins offense to throw the ball. Both receivers should see plenty of targets in this matchup.

Terry McLaurin had a decent performance last week, while only snagging 2 of his 4 targets it did result in 58 yards, 49 of those yards coming on 1 play which also saw a touchdown. Going against Oruwariye who only allowed 2 completions on 9 targets, but at 34 yards per completion Scary Terry could rip off another big play. I know the usage of Dotson had McLauren owners frustrated however, they only saw 9 total targets combined. With a third of Wentz’s attempts going to these 2 receivers and the fact they are playing the Lions, I don’t believe the production will fall off this week it’s safe to say it should be better.
