This is the weekend where it all starts to get a little too real. There are only 11 football games left until we go seven or so months without it. ELEVEN! Like the name of that girl in Stranger Things that gets more bloody noses than you and your buddies at a Vegas bachelor party. At the same time, it is my second favorite football weekend of the year even though the Buccaneers never make the playoffs. I gamble on every game and find a way to play some sort of fantasy. There are so many different ways to throw away your already taxed hard earned dollars. I’m going to give you my picks against the spread and a couple of nice DFS options that I like this weekend.

Wild Card Picks

MB:

HOUSTON over Indy -1.5

SEATTLE over Dallas +2

LOS ANGELES over Baltimore +2.5

CHICAGO over Philadelphia -6.5

Reid:

INDY over Houston +1.5

SEATTLE over Dallas +2

LOS ANGELES over Baltimore +2.5

PHILADELPHIA over Chicago +6.5

We tried to do a podcast this week, but my software only recorded my audio. I’m pretty sure it was because of a skype update. It looks like this is going to have to be the way that we keep track of our picks.

DFS Plays

Philip Rivers $5,900 – Reid brought up a very good point on the podcast that you will never hear. It is very difficult to beat the same team twice. This bodes well for Phil Rivers who just saw this defense a couple of weeks ago. Plus, the Ravens are better at defending the run than they are the pass. Rivers should dink and dunk his way to a nice performance.

Chris Carson 6,800 – Carson is $2,200 cheaper than Ezekiel Elliott and could put up similar numbers. This Seahawks team loves to run the ball down the opponent’s throat and Saturday night shouldn’t be any different.

Cole Beasley 3,500 – If Seattle tries to take Cooper out of the game, Beasley could be in line for a nice contest. Beasley is coming off of a 6 catch 95 yard 1 TD performance last Sunday. I don’t think that you can get much cheaper.

Eric Ebron 5,200 – Don’t overthink this one, he’s probably going to score today.
