This has been a strange year when it comes to fantasy defenses.  There really are no defenses that feel like every week starts. The Eagles are the number one fantasy defense and they were recently destroyed by Little Brother.  New Orleans has been number one for much of the season and are only a point behind the Eagles right now and they were counted coup on by the Washington Native Americans.

(Editor’s note: Make sure you join our week 16 contest.  If you don’t, people will laugh at you!)

Josh Morgan: The captain in you should take a shot of Morgan as the new aerial assault in San Fran has been turning coal into diamonds; if you’re a cagey owner, you just might find some in your stocking.  Jimmy Raye’s system has clearly benefited Morgan who has seen a jump in targets and production.  Last week he was targeted eight times (one behind Crabtree) catching seven balls for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Though his numbers in week 14 dipped slightly, he had six receptions in both week 12 and 13.  Though I wouldn’t bet the farm on Morgan, if you are an owner looking for a safe flex play without a tremendously high ceiling, I would take Morgan against the Lions.  Over his last four games he has been hovering around 5-6 receptions for 50-70 yards and his chances of scoring are relatively high this weekend.

You may already be done for the season, but here at Razzball we are all about giving losers (I mean those who have been cheated by the man) a second chance!  For Championship Week I want you to post your top ESPN Standard Scoring Quarterback, Running Back, and Wide Receiver in the comments along with the total yards from scrimmage for Chris Johnson as the tie breaker.  Only one submission per contestant or the Fantasy Gods will persecute you until the end of days.

It’s a sad time of the year. The fantasy season is winding down, but don’t think Razzball headquarters is winding down with it. We’re just gearing up! You need to get geared up yourself because we’re not going to coast through the offseason.  Look for post season analysis of the 2009 season, playoff contests, NFL draft coverage, keeper rankings and posts, team previews, mock drafts, redraft rankings and cheat sheets, and other awesomeness that gets conjured during some heated conversations around the daiquiri cooler.

The top 4 matchups this week have a lot of question marks concerning amount of touches and who will be touched inappropriately.

Arian Foster should get the majority of the carries against a bad Rams’ run defense, but it’s hard to know how much Ryan Moats or Chris Brown will cut into his work.  Thankfully Foster got 4 receptions last week so he won’t necessarily sit in passing downs.  The bad news is that Kubiak was a little frustrated with him in Thursday’s practice.  Kubiak is a little frustrating himself.
