Here are your top 40 or so quarterbacks in the National Football League (as said by that NFL Films guy).  I feel the top 3 are fairly interchangeable which means if you want to grab one of them, grab the third dude.  You know I’m a Cutler guy for his value and a Big Ben guy for his backupitude value.  I’ve got a “My Perfect Draft” post coming up which will probably have those two living in it.  Here are the 32 QBs I believe will at least start the season as the starters.  The rest are a hodge podge of back ups and dog killers.  On to the rankings:

Whoops, I mean, if you haven’t joined our Razzball Commenter Leagues we’ll be taking new players until the season starts.  Just put your info in the comments.  It’s free and you get a chance at a cool trophy from Fantasy Sports Trophies!

Sometimes I just take for granted that whatever Average Draft Position list I am looking at, is going to be somewhat similar to the other ADP lists, but of course that’s not the case.  A lot depends on how many live participants there are in the mock drafts they take their numbers from.  That autodrafter, besides making you want to quit your mock, is giving out a lot of craptastic data.  So with some prodding from QBreezy I decided to do a little comparison of some popular ADP spots.

There are many wide receivers out there.  I have over 100 ranked below and still am missing a few would be contributors.  Once you get passed the top 50 or so a lot depends on opportunity and what happens in training camp.  But these are my base rankings and I will continue to update as news beats us over the head.

I’ve got an ADP post coming up that compares three of my favorite sources for ADP, but while I’m working on that I thought I would give you the average ADP for all three.  They are Fantasy Football Calculator, ESPN and Mock Draft Central (must sign up, but free).  I won’t analyze these.  They are what they are.  But I do think they are a fairly good representation of ADP at this point in time.

It is time for football!  OTA’s are done and training camp has been birthed like a spanking new baby with all the possibilities; like that child growing up and finding itself on the wrong end of the law and maybe suspended for a few weeks, but right now we can only see the good!  We are tracking its first step and its triumphant first word, “schmohawk,” I am guessing.
