So, instead of ignoring the obvious, I’ll go ahead and embrace it. These were pretty bad results in Week 13, I mean, we’re talking ESPN territory. It also kicked Razzball just outside the top-10 to 11th best accuracy for the year… still an amazing result when you look at the big picture, and would still be a big improvement from previous years. Regardless, last week and the next couple are when we need to do our best jobs for those of you remaining in the hunt, so I’ll be working extra hard to make sure our performance gets the results all of you need. Sounds like a perfect job for Viagra…

Select the “Flex” tab if you need a more complete picture to decide your starts and sits. Use the “OP” tab for 2QB Leagues. And you can access our Half PPR and PPR rankings using the drop down box in the top left of our rankings when you select the RB, WR, TE, or Flex positions. Any and all questions will be answered below…

Dion Lewis over Dixon, eh? What’s the thinking there?

And wow Watkins all the way down to 40….are you that concerned with his injury? Or is it just that his floor is so low due to risk/gameflow/Bills passing incompetence?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Roll of SAGNOF, Hear my Cry: Patriots will try to exploit the Ravens defense I think, and that’s using fast guys on linebackers. Ravens pass defense is pretty solid, especially on long passes, so I’m expecting Brady to find Lewis. And I’m still iffy on the Bills, that may need a little more time.

  2. Josh says:
    (link)

Could you please rank Miller, Marshall, Watkins, Hill, Snead, and Dixon for this week in .5 ppr? Need to start two of them…Also, would you start Falcons D over Seahawks?? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Josh: Yeah, it’s a coinflip, but I don’t expect much from LA. I’d go Falcons. And I’d go Miller and Hill.

      • Josh says:
        (link)

@Jay: Should I start Hill even though I’m also starting Ware? Should’ve specified it’s Tyreek…

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Josh: Oh, thought it was Jeremy. I’d do Marshall instead of Tyreek.

  3. Nate The Red says:
    (link)

    Good luck this week!

Need three out of the five WRs. Huge question with the news of Julio’s turf toe,

    Jones
    Hopkins
    Hill
    Crabtree
    Watkins

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nate The Red: You too man!

Yeah, not sure what to think of it yet. Going to wait until Saturday to update, but for right now, going Jones, Hopkins, and Crabtree.

  4. Blake says:
    (link)

Geeze, Dak prescott vs Kap in my std league? DO i roll the dice with Kap?? I dont think Dak will have a big game but Kap always has a chance to to blow up. this is my first week of playoffs though and I have to win

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: Yeah, I think everyone is a must win at this stage. I do have Dak this week ahead of Kap, just can’t put much faith into the Niners right now.

      • Mobin Can't Hack It says:
        (link)

@Jay: must win or on bye as the case may be.

  5. Josh-NYC says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay!

    I’m back.
    Few questions… 0.5 PPR league
    A) I need to choose 3 WR for my two WR and flex positions Watkins, Benjamin, tyreek hill and Taylor Gabriel. I see your rankings have the first three as who I should start. My concerns of hill include maclin returning, and less production coming from the short rest of Thursday night football. I guess you can argue that this is a division game. In Gabriel’s defense, sanu appears to be out this game and there is word that Julio will be a decoy. What do you think ?
    B) I have devontae Booker in another flex spot, but now there’s word that forsett can split carries? Forsett is probably not in football shape yet no? Do you like gilislee (just reported he’s going to keep getting goal line carries) or tyreek hill/Gabriel (the one you don’t choose from the aforementioned question) over Booker?

Thanks for all of your hard work!

    Josh

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Josh-NYC: A) I’d go Watkins, Hill, and Kelvin. I wouldn’t worry about short rest on TNF. If it was a RB, maybe that’d be an issue. I’m still thinking about how much to downgrade Julio and what that will do with the other players, but Sanu is pretty far back right now. B) I don’t think he’s in football shape, no. I don’t like Gilislee that much. I still like Booker there, but make sure to watch my update on Saturday.

      • Josh-NYC says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Right now wouldn’t it appear that Gabriel could be set up for a monster workload ? I wouldn’t be able to start Gabriel if I start Hill.. unless I were to bench Booker. Even if sanu is out and jones is a dud, do you like hill over Gabriel ?

And keep in mind, I was the commenter that went under Greys #1 Fan a few years ago (mostly as a joke) but I have no problem sticking Grey on you if you’re wrong. ;)

        Haha jk

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Josh-NYC: Yeah, I’m not against keeping that spot open. 31->49 is quite a gap, but it’ll probably close on Saturday for me. Will it close enough? Yeah, I think it could if you want to wait. You make good points.

  6. Nick says:
    (link)

    your pretty low on Watkins huh? I have to pick 2; D Adams, Ingram, Mitchell, Watkins, K Benjamin & T West. I”m not really considering Benjy or West and have the first 2 in. I’m nervous with Adams against Seattle but think that the smart floor play I think. Its playoffs round 1 so need the win. Here is roster for perspective;

QB-Big Ben (makes me nervous on road but only have Dak on bench. making me lean big upside at WR)
    WR-ODB & WR2?
    RB-Freeman & Ware
    Flex- Ingram
    TE-Graham
    Crosby & Cincy

Feeling big upside of Watkins or Mitchell but have Adams in for now, thoughts?

    • Nick says:
      (link)

@Nick: If Ingram is held out, I’ll just plug in one of those WRs. But I assume if he plays, you have to roll him out there..

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

        @Nick: Yeah, I agree.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: RIght now I am. I’ll be honest, I had a hard time ranking him, and I might change it. It could also be that I feel like I’m walking on eggshells after last weeks poor showing too.

I do agree on Adams there. Keep Adams in for now I think, and see how I move Watkins.

  7. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

rotoworld getting being funny yet again. where exactly are these rankings for this, that would be awesome. in baseball NYM/STL/LAA would have to be near top.

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

@Jay: oops, i forgot the link that explains this
“Marquess Wilson (groin) returned to Bears practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.
It gives Wilson a chance to suit up against the Lions, but it’s far from certain. Unfortunately, the Bears are a bottom-three team when it comes to injury truthfulness, so we could go into Sunday morning lacking a clear idea of Wilson’s status. If Wilson does play, he’ll be hard to trust as a WR4. He’ll be at less than 100 percent with Matt Barkley playing quarterback.”

  8. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

wow, i got WR that aren’t even ranked by you. i need to play one of these this week in 20 teamer (along with lee/s.smith), turner PHI, m.wilson (if he plays), jj nelson. PPR. would you drop turner for cruz now that j.matthews appears back?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: I expand the rankings a tad when Thursday ends. The early locks sometimes mess with my longshots. Thinking Nelson there, and I kinda like Cruz there, sure.

  9. MindlessOne says:
    (link)

Jordan Reed is on track to start, would you rank him above Brate this week?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MindlessOne: We actually talk about this on the Pod tomorrow. I think the consensus is that Brate is the guy.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MindlessOne: I’ll probably update his ranking, as I’m iffy on that, but Brate was who Zach and MB liked.

      • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
        (link)

        @Jay: that’s funny, as i have these very 2 in a 20 team dynasty.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Aubrey Plaza’s Pillow: Yeah, kinda goofy how it came up, we were trying to find hard comps to deal with, Brate and Green were the examples we settled on.

  10. Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
    (link)

whew, had to check, only place i have ware is on bye. weird not noticing and you wonder if you’re facing so and so only to realize you’re off this week.

    • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
      (link)

@Aubrey Plaza’s Pillow: AWESOME, in that 20 team dynasty i’m playing a team based around OAK’s players. they ain’t doing shit.

        • Aubrey Plaza's Pillow says:
          (link)

@Jay: and in my biggest money league (still in 5th in points even having lost my 1st 2 rounders this year cj anderson/green (have booker but he’s not close to as good as anderson) i got lucky that the 3rd seed isn’t really a great team and had ware/KC kicker vs my lat murray, good start there. need to get to finals to make any money though, and next week probably won’t be as easy if i win now.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Aubrey Plaza’s Pillow: Oh yeah, I hear you. I’d be embarrassed of some of the things I’ve forgotten running the site.

  11. Josh-NYC says:
    (link)

Well played my friend .. I started Tyreek hill over Gabriel

  12. Jason Morgan says:
    (link)

Jarvis Landry, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyler Eifert, Jeremy Hill or Jamison Crowder?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jason Morgan: I think I got this in the pod thread.

  13. IrishMike says:
    (link)

Holding Henry all year but now want to roster Hogan in case I need him for week 16 vs NYJ. RB’s are Gordon and Johnson, a smart drop?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IrishMike: Yeah, I think you can drop. I can guarantee you that Gates gets every single redzone look.

  14. Velocity_X says:
    (link)

Didn’t think I’d be asking a kicker question ever but here I am. Tucker has been my guy for years now and I have a lot of confidence in him when available. Issue is, do I trust the weather on Monday night @ NE and want to risk my playoffs on him putting up a dud if it’s heavy snow.

On the waiver is Prater in one league and Dustin Hopkins in the other. Am I overanalyzing this or should I play it safe and get other kickers this week?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Velocity_X: Haha, we accept all kinds! I think you always trust Tucker. Dude’s a machine.

  15. Mike says:
    (link)

Worried about Tyrod Taylor at home against PIT and the weather being very bad. Should I stream Flacco or Goff against ATL?

    • Mobin Can't Hack It says:
      (link)

@Mike: hmm, interesting, in a 2 QB i would have the brock lobster vs rodfather choice.

      • Mike says:
        (link)

@Mobin Can’t Hack It: it is a 2 qb. I should have mentioned that. I have Rodgers and Taylor.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Mike: Not sure if it changes too much.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: I’m thinking about it for sure. Give me until tomorrow to decide, but Flacco might actually be an option. Weather is always hard to adjust to.

  16. M Stoy says:
    (link)

Standard format. Should I start Brandin Cooks or Golden Tate

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@M Stoy: I think Cooks for now.

  17. Old Dirty says:
    (link)

Atlanta or Tennessee defense ? Wasn’t sure if the questionable availability of Julio effected Atlantas ranking with ball control. Thanks again .

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Old Dirty: Falcons there I think still.

  18. MJP says:
    (link)

I have a bye this week, but am only carrying two RBs in a Half-PPR with no flex. Who of these guys should I pick up?

Sims, Forsette, J.Rodgers, McKinnon, Vereen, Matthews?

Thanks for the help as always!!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @MJP: I’d say Rodgers there.

  19. demarcus says:
    (link)

I know the rank’ngs and all but i want your opinion on denver and tampa backs. I have forsett, quizz and sims but i dont know if i have the guts to put any one of them in the lineup. all i have not named fat rob are these three, bilal powell and rex burkhead. i know matchups are good for bilal and rex but forte and hill might very well end up getting nearly all the touches. so yeah…how i make the playoffs is a mystery, i know. my first seven picks got injured. lord give me strength…

    • demarcus says:
      (link)

@demarcus: forgot to mention that it is half ppr league

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@demarcus: Yeah, I think in cases like these, rankings help the most. I’m still going Bilal and Rex, but double check my rankings when I update them later tonight.

  20. Blake says:
    (link)

So it looks like Julio Jones will be out or be in as a decoy? what have you heard? here are my options as of now – I have to start 3 WR’s, no flex – standard league

    WR: J Jones
    WR: G Tate
    WR: E Sanders

    B: D Inman
    B: T Lockett

    Free Agents
    T Gabriel
    A theilen
    M Floyd
    P Garcon
    D Parker
    M Lee
    Robby Anderson
    D Green-beckam
    B quick

Any suggestions? pretty desperate as my 1st round pick is going to be out just when I need him!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: Yeah, that’s what I’m seeing, but honestly, I’m waiting until gametime to see how he does in warmups. I think that’ll be the best indicator of what to expect. If he doesn’t go, I think you go Gabriel there. Pick him up now over Lockett.

  21. Josh-NYC says:
    (link)

I need to start two of Kelvin Benjamin, Devontae Booker or Sammy Watkins..

In the other thread you said start watkins and booker, but your rankings here say otherwise..

    0.5 PPR.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Josh-NYC: Yeah, just did my first update tonight, still playing around with it until they settle. As I’m sure you noticed, Benjamin got switched with Watkins on your list. I was against Cam at first, but maybe it was Chargers bias. Who knows…

      • Josh-NYC says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

        So you’re sitting Watkins ?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Josh-NYC: I think no matter what, you have to start Booker. As of now, yeah, I think Watkins is your sit. It’s really hard with these three, to find that perfect middle ground, I have to say.
