After a random week of non-performance (that’s what she said), we’ve returned to another strong placement. We’re on pace to finish strongly this year and also beat out the previous two years of results, which has been one of my goals here since day one; and that’s to improve every single year and place Razzball among the top experts in all the universe. Why is this important? Well, the non-selfish answer is: What is man that does not make what is around him better? I learned that from Legolas in some Ridley Scott movie. The selfish answer is pretty obvious; gimmie those sweet hits, baby. Self-serving will get you everywhere in this world (especially during election season!), but I think it’s fair to point out that we pride ourselves on offering quality rankings without a subscription requirement, opposed to about 90% of the rotating “experts” in the top-10 for Fantasy Football Accuracy. And I hope that encourages our readers to maximize their teams and fantasy experience by taking a look at our separate subscription content, all carefully crafted and molded by Rudy Gamble. It’s no secret that projection systems are becoming the rage (and you’ll can find out my own ranking process here), but having all the tools, including the free ones, might make the difference between finishing first and, well, not finishing first…

Here are your Week 8 Rankings… (Rest of Season rankings have been updated and can be found here!)

Select the “Flex” tab if you need a more complete picture to decide your starts and sits. Use the “OP” tab for 2QB Leagues. And you can access our Half PPR and PPR rankings using the drop down box in the top left of our rankings when you select the RB, WR, TE, or Flex positions. Any and all questions will be answered below…

  1. Brian says:
    (link)

Wow your not a huge Booker fan are you ? I think you may be wrong on his ranking but opinions differ other than that I like where your heads at. TY TY

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian: I’m agnostic on him I think. I’m not shy about being a CJA guy in terms of the Broncos RBs, but the Chargers defense has been doing better the last few weeks. I’m kinda torn here, but I’m going to err on the side of caution with him.

      • For an Armenianless vacation come to Akron says:
        (link)

@Jay: good answer, hopefully yr agnostic on all non-SD players, and i’ve assumed you were.

  2. Zandy says:
    (link)

given ROS rankings, should i be doing the Hopkins for Nelson swap? in std

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Yeah, having the names in front of me, Jordy does get the slight nod right now, but I still think Hopkins has the ceiling… but getting there. I still view it as lateral, because it’s a two-spot upgrade, so I wouldn’t call it necessary.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: I do save Hopkins bye next week but I also own Cobb and Monty so prob way too much Pack if i did the deal…

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Zandy: Yeah, makes sense.

  3. Dave says:
    (link)

Is eifert gonna play the whole game this week? Tempted to start him overJordan Matthews in the flex in PPR? Matthews has been killing me would you start Eifert over him?

    • Cram It says:
      (link)

@Dave: Matthews is #49, Eifert is #101. But it’s your team brah!

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@Dave: i’d wait to actually see him have a decent snap count first. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/snapcounts

not just preaching i have eifert in my biggest money league and 2 others myself. at this point also of course have guys like henry etc subbing.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: I’m iffy on it right now. Still going Matthews there.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dave: Iffy on Eifert that is.

  4. Chisoxx_22 says:
    (link)

In a standard league, would you trade Hilton for blount or Stewart? I have deep wr depth but none at rb

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chisoxx_22: I think you can do slightly better. Maybe try for a Forte or Gordon and see what it takes?

  5. Cram It says:
    (link)

I hate that you have Gio, J-Hill, J-Stew and Gillislee ranked so close together. Owning both Cincy backs makes the decision tough every week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Cram It: Yeah, the Cincy backfield is totally frustrating. I think you flip a coin on Gio and Hill, then go with Stew there.

      • Cram It says:
        (link)

@Jay: I’ve been flipping a coin with these two the whole season and I’ve gotten it right 3 out of 7 times. Ha. There’s handcuffing, and then there’s this! I’m just venting…I wish one of them would get hurt.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Cram It: It would make things easier…

        • For an Armenianless vacation come to Akron says:
          (link)

@Cram It: i got quite lucky with booker/anderson, take a whiff of my pants baby

  6. Toby says:
    (link)

Congrats on another 5th place finish!

I’m trying to upgrade at WR in a 12-team standard league and I have RBs to burn with Bell, DJ, Forte, Ware, Martin and C-Mike. I’m thinking C-Mike is the best one to shop since he still has a lot of value but has seen declining numbers recently to go with the imminent return of Rawls. Do you agree? And who would you target?

I have one owner in my league with WR’s to spare and might be able to go after either Marvin Jones or Snead with the potential to package in Cousins, which would be an improvement at QB as well (Palmer and Bortles stink!).

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Toby: Yeah, I’d dangle CMike there, and I’d aim for a buylow. Maybe a Hopkins or Arob.

      • Toby says:
        (link)

@Jay: I tried for Hopkins, Arob, Marshall and DT but no one is biting. I think my best options are the ones I listed above (Jones or Snead + Cousins). Does either sound like a good deal for me or am I shooting too low.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Toby: I think Jones is fine then, for sure.

  7. William Hung says:
    (link)

    Nice job there Jay!

If Matt Jones does indeed sit out this week, should I drop him for Jeremy Langford? Both situations are murky but I feel like since Langford is playing, we can see how he is recovered and if he has a solid game, he instantly becomes a waiver add/stash for Week 10

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: Thanks man! TEs are slowly coming around I feel. I think that’s okay, you need a body that’s getting snaps.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: I need Marqise Lee to get my team off to a good start tonight with a solid 8-10 points

I keep looking at my RB position and can’t figure out how it became such a wasteland. Right now I’m banking on Rashad Jennings leading this crew next week which is why I keep flip flopping around with RBs.

I’m dropping Britt for Knile Davis and hoping he has a good game this Sunday for some momentum next week, but I need to hedge and pick up a 2nd RB flier… I read up more on Peyton Barber and his breakout game was a bit misleading since he was on the field to kill clock and ran for the long TD. In a tight game, is he really going to get snaps? If you already saw the Bucs/Niners game, let me know your thoughts. I know [email protected] is high on him.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think you need to keep threading the needle and hoping for the big day, even from risky propositions. In this case I’ve change a bit here. I might go with Barber.

          • William Hung says:
            (link)

@Jay: So how we ranking these guys – Knile Davis, Peyton Barber, Jeremy Langford

            • Cram It says:
              (link)

@William Hung: Man, you would be fun to troll, Hung. But I’m not gonna do it. Not. Gonna. Do it.

              • William Hung says:
                (link)

@Cram It: I hear the Danish are working on anti-troll technology

                • Cram It says:
                  (link)

@William Hung: You’d probably ask for a week straight “Danish anti-troll technology or Japanese anti-troll technology?”

                  • William Hung says:
                    (link)

@Cram It: you missed my south park reference

            • Jay

              Jay says:
              (link)

@William Hung: Probably Langford, Barber, Davis this week for hit a homerun type of order. Funny, because the safe order would be how you have it.

  8. Mike says:
    (link)

Love where you have Montgomery, another reason why you are the best!!

PPR flex need 2… Cameron Brate, Rishard Matthews, Chris Hogan, Dwayne Washington…..UGH!!!!

    • Mike says:
      (link)

      @Mike:

      Also have Prosise………

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: Haha, thanks Mike! I think you gotta go Brate there.

  9. Nick says:
    (link)

So I currently have Palmer as QB since Big Ben hurt/on bye BUT seriously considering swapping for Dakota Prescott this week despite the tough matchup in Philly…thoughts?

Also, I dropped Mariota in this mess & you have him ranked just above both Palmer/Dak. I hate Thursday games which is why I dropped Marcus but interesting you rank him higher…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: I have Palmer over the Dak Attack, but it’s only one spot right now. Coin flip. And Mariota is only high because it’s the Jags… everyone’s mileage may vary on that one.

  10. Nick says:
    (link)

Also, question about my wideouts…I have Cobb, M Jones Jr, Ty & K benjamin to choose from this week. I only need 2 since we only have 2 WR slots & already have Ingram at flex with Ware/Freeman as RBs. Based on your ranks it’s Cobb & Ty. But having 2 Packers seems counterproductive, no?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nick: Yeah, in this case I might go Jones and hope that Cobb and Ty don’t conflict too much and that the right one is chosen.

  11. Adam says:
    (link)

Going forward which 2 RBs to keep on roster .5ppr

    Chris Thompson
    Knile Davis
    Jordan Howard

    Thanks!

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

      @Adam: not kniles.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Adam: I’d keep Thompson and Howard for now.

  12. Will says:
    (link)

You going with Palmer or Mariota this week?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Will: Mariota, but it’s more like a tie.

  13. Mike says:
    (link)

    Ahoy jay!

.5 ppr would you trade for Booker? I was thinking offering moncrief + Howard. Too much? If too much what about Howard + Shepard or fuller?

My WRs are Hopkins, Hilton, sanders, fuller, Shepard, hogan, Corey Coleman, moncrief, Watkins we start 3

My RBs David Johnson, Melvin Gordon, Jamaal Charles, Howard, Derrick Henry, andre Ellington, and James Starks

With the potential reports that CJA is out for the year would Booker be a RB1/RB2 ROS? If I trade him moncrief, moncrief will become his best WR on his roster. Or try moncrief for Booker straight up?

Hey if he doesn’t bite no worries I’ll just know he won’t want to deal him lol

On the flip if no deal, would you add Bibbs who will now be the backup to Booker unless Denver brings in let’s say a spiller, etc.

Who would you rather flex this week my Howard (vs Vikings). Or Charles (@ Indy) , Hogan (@ Buff), fuller (vs lions),
or drop Starks for either cordaralle Patterson (@ Chicago), DGB (@ Dallas), agholor (@ dallas), thielen (@ Chicago) or Dwayne Washington (at Houston)?

    • Mike says:
      (link)

      @Mike:

Just looked Peyton barber is available and Bucs host raiders D

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Mike: I’m iffy on him right now.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Mike: Yeah, I think it’s okay if you need a RB, and I think you have the value right on the trade. I think RB2 depending on how many snaps they dedicate and his effectiveness. Probably trying Charles there, and Patterson could be a nice pickup in that matchup.

      • Mike says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

        Thanks jay

On the flip, the CJA owner of course took a hit losing Anderson, his Martin is banged up, he lost decker , his top 3 WRs are Tate, Marvin jones & Enunwa. His best RB is bell then he also has proise & Crowell too his TEs are Walker, clay.he also has Mike Wallace , davante Adams, Meredith

Would you offer my Melvin + moncrief for bell? Or Gordon + Hilton or sanders for bell?

        Or stand pat

I’d even try a lesser deal not involving Melvin for Crowell , Howard/Charles + fuller?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Mike: I’d try both, honestly. Go for it. (Not the second deal there for Charles, I don’t like that one.)

          • Mike says:
            (link)

            @Jay:

            Thanks man

The Charles deal is be dealing Charles away not receiving him

            • Jay

              Jay says:
              (link)

@Mike: Oh, I see, I thought it was Gordon for Charles. I’d hold there, I like him more than Fuller.

  14. Joe says:
    (link)

Could I, and should I, package something like Graham and A-Rob for Dez and C.Thompson? Is that feasible? I need another RB and I’m WR heavy. Asiata is the only decent option available, but absent dropping one of my DSTs (probably NE since they have a better ROS schedule), I’d basically have to trade. Having gone through other team’s rosters, I’ve realized TE is not too shallow this year in a PPR 10-teamer.

    QB: Brady
    RB: Ingram, White, Coleman
WR: Julio, Landry, Adams, A-Rob, Tate, Moncrief
    TE: Gronk, Graham
    DST: NE, PHI
    K: Lambo

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joe: Yeah, I’m cool with that. I like getting Dez there, and Thompson in a PPR.

      • Joe says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Thanks! Would gratuitously throwing in the Eagles DST as a 3-for-2 enticement be too much?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Joe: Negligible to me.

  15. Dorian S. says:
    (link)

Thanks Jay for the rankings! Much appreciated!

I don’t know whether I got incredibly lucky, or this might be my season, but I lost Eddie Lacy last week and got an offer for Ingram for Allen Robinson. Managed to somehow convince that guy to also trade me Ty Montgomery too.

So I was feeling good about myself. Then a guy who’s team totally went to hell via injuries comes along and puts Demaryius Thomas and Jarvis Landry. While I couldn’t land both, I scored DThomas and LB Kwon Alexander in exchange for WR Tyler Boyd, TE Eric Erbon, RB Eddie Lacy and WR Charone Peake. Yeah, highway robbery. I know.

Even at 4-3 this is such a highly competitive league that that is a 4th best record(of the 6-8 guys with that record, I have the most points). Two guys ahead of me are 5-2, while the guy in 1st is 7-0 (sadly, he beat me already :( ).

My team (in a 20 league, halfPPR, IDP, QB/2RB/3WRTE/QBFlex/K/2DL/2DB/2LB):
    QBs- Marcus Mariota(traded), Trevor Siemian
RBs- Ezekiel Elliot, Mark Ingram(traded), Tevon Coleman
WRs- Mike Evans, Demaryius Thomas(traded), Ty Montgomery(traded), Michael Thomas, Jordan Matthews(traded), Sterling Shepard
Ks- Justin Tucker, Jason Myers(bye week fill in)
DBs- Chris Harris Jr., Johnathan Cypien
    DLs- Derek Wolfe, Devin Taylor
LBs- Kwon Alexander(traded), Lorenzo Alexander, Mason Foster

Went from upper tier team to this, which probably could get me the title this year. At least I think so. Better yet, none of my trades costed me any picks for next season. :D

Though, I am going to hate having to choose my keepers now. Geezus. >_< That's going to be hard.

Oh. Don't suppose you can see a place I could maybe get better in?

Ah, for the record. The Dorian without the S. isn't me. I started putting S. at the end when I realized I wasn't the only Dorian on here. Just so you guys know.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dorian S.: If you’re scoring the most points, I’d keep some hope out, these things have a way of exposing themselves. Could go on a run. I like the team and trades you’ve done as well. 4-3 is still right there in a league of this size too.

  16. Allan says:
    (link)

    Jay,
My backfield right now is Demarco, mathews, Gillislee, Chris Thompson, and asiata in a ppr. My only qb is palmer. Should I try to trade Thompson to the Jones owner for rivers? He’s got luck so he may be willing. Or can I not afford to lose the depth? Thanks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Allan: I’d prefer you keep the depth, but I might relook at this next week. I’m probably avoiding Rivers this week.

      • Allan says:
        (link)

@Jay: yeah I’d still play palmer this week. Then play match ups with rivers and palmer ros.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Allan: It’s a fair trade, so I think it’s okay.

  17. For an Armenianless vacation come to Akron says:
    (link)

12 teamer where i’m 7-0, up 2 games on 2nd place, up 161.65 points (23.09 per game more); this league the teams average 136.27 per week, me 165.59 per. now with these RB’s
PIT 2, CHI 2 (not carey), ivory, thompson. is ivory’s upside so shitty (and floor SOOOO boring when i am literally punting D and kicker this week from having LA and tucker, and can handle losing and think it’s actually worth more to keep my kicker/DEF options for playoffs) that i should grab carey to lock up CHI entirely (which weeks ago i thought i had already done)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@For an Armenianless vacation come to Akron: I think it’s okay, but I’m not sure it moves the needle that much. You have a game to play with, so this is the week to do whatever it is you gotta do.

  18. David says:
    (link)

what’s the thought process on Meredith’s rankings this week?

Trying to decide between him & LaFell as a flex bye week fill-in.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@David: Cutler should be ready to go, and as much as he’s hated, I think he improves the entire offense.

      • David says:
        (link)

I hope your right. I have time to decide I guess. Is he their slot receiver? I haven’t really watched him play yet. Where does he line up?

Anyways, question regarding roster decisions (FYI, 2QB league, PPR, keeper). Would like your opinion. I have the redskins backfield on my roster and I have to drop a player come sunday. I am holding onto all three temporarily to see how Jone’s injury shapes up. I have to drop a player by sunday my roster will be over the limit. Jones looks like he is going to sit this week. I have the luxury to only really need to start 2 RB’s each week. I have a deep WR corp. It looks like Thompson will be my RB2 for the foreseeable future.

Who would you drop? Jones or Kelley (thought is towards future weeks).

        Week 8 Lineup:
        QB: Cam, Wentz
        RB: Zeke, Thompson
        WR: Julio, Cooper, Demaryius,
        TE: Randolph
        Flex: Kelvin, LaFell/Meredith
Bench: Matt Jones, Kelley, Morris, Perkins, Powell, Shepard

My bench is overloaded, need to drop 1 player. Gut says Jones. Thompson has been more effective w/ his touches and seeing an increased role. Especially if Jones misses this week, I see Kelley doing enough to supplant Jones

Also, I can’t see myself in any horrible position going forward barring any major injuries. I’m seeing interest in Cooper. What would you have to see as a return in value to justify trading him away? Interested party has DEN RB’s, Gronk, Marshall, Edelman, Ingram, Pryor amongst notable depth players. Its a PPR league, how much better can I make my team?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@David: Royal plays slot a lot. He’s their 3rd and 4th option depending on the gameplan, but he clearly has the upside over guys like Bellamy and Thompson. White and Jeffrey complicates things, but from what else is out there…

Right, Jones is okay here to drop.

          • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
            (link)

@Jay: white is out for quite a while at CHI, meredith took his spot; only issue is we have no data set of cutler/meredith. royal still isn’t practicing either from yesterday.

  19. Cole says:
    (link)

Hey Jay, any reason you’re bullish on Cobb and Montgomery and bearish on Adam’s? I’m probably starting Pryor and Tate but I’m trying to talk myself into going with Adams

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Cole: Bullish on Adams because he’s being targeted a lot in the redzone. Lot of upside potential when you might get a lot of looks.

  20. Zandy says:
    (link)

send Mongomery and JStew for Hilton? in std league

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

      what about JStew and Alshon?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I’m okay with it. Not ecstatic, but it’s fair.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: i assume u like monty and jstew for hilton, then?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Zandy: Yeah, I like that a bit more.

  21. Zandy says:
    (link)

what about JStew + Ware for Demarco?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Yeah, I’m cool with that one. I like it.

  22. Ibrahim Muhawieh says:
    (link)

I need your opinion on a potential trade: PPR league with 2 WR’s/2 RB’s/2 Flex (WR-RB-TE)

Devontae Booker for either Marvin Jones Jr or Stefon Diggs?

My RB depth: Giovanni Bernard, Devontae Booker, Tevin Coleman, James White, and Matt Asiata

My WR/TE depth: OBJ, Alshon Jeffery, Emmanuel Sanders, Donte Moncrief, Davante Adams, Greg Olsen, and Kyle Rudolph.

Should I pull the trigger for Marvin even though I value my WR depth more than my RB depth right now…?
Or Should I counter for Jarvis Laundry to pair with OBj in PPR?
Or simply decline since Booker can win the job in DEN after CJA health issues?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Ibrahim Muhawieh: Sure thing man. I’m okay with both, it’s fair, and I think it solves a WR issue you might have, but your RB issue seems a bit more important. I’d err on the side of caution and hold.

    Hi jay…
I’m in a running back overload situation still and need your advice…again!…
    PPR league
West and Jennings are on my bench this week and they are both on a bye week
I am playing Ryan Mathews and booker but gillislee is available? Do I even dare pick him up and drop one of these guys? Or should I leave it alone?
    Please help…
    Thanks!!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Fantasy girl xoxo: Sup! I understand the thought here, Mathews has almost disappeared. But I’d still hold here. I think Mathews and Booker is the best combo going into Sunday.

      • Fantasy girl xoxo says:
        (link)

        Thanks jay…
Now let’s just pray he comes through;)

        • Jay

          (link)

@Fantasy girl xoxo: Yeah, I get the feeling the fantasy football church has been crowded for weeks now… good luck!

  24. Robert says:
    (link)

CJA is on IR so I’m dropping him. Luckily, I have Booker to go with CMike, Blount and Ware. I’m streaming Alex Smith this week and benching Rivers. The waiver wire is pretty dry, who would you recommend picking up out of the following as somewhat of a stash: Dwayne Washington, Kapri Bibbs, Dion Lewis, Andre Ellington (maybe DJ wears down), Eli Manning?

FYI I’m 4-3 but not taking the path to the playoffs for granted. Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Robert: That’s fine, could be out rest of the fantasy season. For a clean stash, I’d go Lewis.

  25. Zandy says:
    (link)

why is brandon marshall so high ROS? arent you nervous that it could be Petty throwing to him come Week 12?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I’m okay with it, surprisingly. He’s had good success in tough environments, and has the size to make things worth with a sub par thrower. I have some faith there.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: so i play marshall’s owner next week

should i send alshon (who will be on bye) for marsh and see if he will do it?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Zandy: Yeah, it’s an interesting trade. I’m okay with it.

  26. Jack says:
    (link)

Looks like Jordy might have another tough week. Start Fuller over him or am I overthinking it?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jack: I think it’s close, but I’m probably still going to go Nelson here.

  27. DT says:
    (link)

    Yo Jay!

team has been struggling lately due to a rash of injuries. got some trade offers from teams wanted to know what you think. 12 team 2 flex ppr league

    QB: Brees, Tyrod
RB: L. Murray, Gore, Booker, Gillislee. T. Coleman, D. Lewis
WR: Cooks, T. Williams, Diggs, Crowder
    TE: Pitta

obviously my receivers are lacking (lost Keenan Allen). I was offered Brandon Marshall for my Gore. Seems like a no brainer, but im not sure how well my remaining RBs will do as (sadly) Gore was the only consistent producer. He also has Olsen and was thinking about packaging Pitta and Gore for Olsen. Which trade do you like better for my team?

    Appreciate the help!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@DT: Yeah, I like the Marshall one, and I hear you on your RBs, but I think you should be okay. Murray + Booker and Coleman should be enough for the upgrade.

  28. Chicken Dinner says:
    (link)

    Trade JMatthews for Booker?

  29. Chad says:
    (link)

Looking to deal with another owner…what do you think I should target? I have some top RBs so looking to upgrade QB/WR?

Standard 10-tmer; both of us at 4-3.

    His QBs – Rodgers, Ryan
    My QBs – Palmer, Taylor

His RBs – Gordon, McCOy, White
My RBs- D. Johnson, both Murrays, Freeman, Crowell, Henry

His Wrs- AJ Green, Edelman, Dez, Snead, Matthews
My WRs- Jeffery, Fitz, Maclin, Coates

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chad: I might try to package Fitz and Freeman for Dez and Rodgers… something along those lines. You upgrade a few positions there.

  30. Jack says:
    (link)

Roll with Henry, Eifert, or Barnidge this week and moving forward? Thx.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jack: Barnidge this week, probably Eifert later on.

  31. Dan says:

Was just offered Kelvin Benjamin & Martavis Bryant for Hopkins in a dynasty. What do you think?

    Thanks Jay

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      Yeah, I like it actually.

  32. ThE sHiT says:
    (link)

Gave C-Mike/Booker, got back Leveon in a 12 team ppr. Good for me right? That moves someone like Gore, Adams into my flex and gives me the best 1-2 rb combo of Bell and David Johnson

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@ThE sHiT: Yeah man, love that trade for you. Great job!

  33. Zandy says:

if McCown starts for Cleveland, do you like him more than Osweiler?

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Zandy: Scary thought. I’d say he gets closer, but not enough.

  34. ThE sHiT says:

  35. Zandy says:

So std league heres my matchup, i’m 3-4 in a 12 teamer

    ME:
    Osweiler*
    Hopkins Cobb
    Ware Ingram
    Montgomery
    Graham
    Vinatieri
    Tenn

    HIM:
    Smith
    ARob Matthews
    Lamar Jacquizz
    Lockett
    Reed
    Crosby
    Minny

Would you roll Osweiler or overpay and basically send JStew for Winston or Carr?
(I assume you wait and see what ARob does tonight but if he goes big, if he does a little – howd you play it)

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

sorry figured if just ask you the big question instead of trying to get at it

          @Zandy: Sounds good!

      • Zandy says:

  36. Jerry says:
    (link)

Hey, Jay. Trade Forte for: Alshon, Marvin Jones, Emmanuel Sanders or Marvin Jones? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Jerry: I’m holding here unless Forte is the oddman out on your depth chart. If it’s PPR, I think Sanders is an okay return. If standard, I’d want Jeffery.

  37. Zandy says:
    (link)

send cobb for crabtree and winston?

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

it means id have to start crabtree vsDEN next week or Stills vs Jets

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

        @Zandy: That’s okay. I mean, it’s a tough one, but acceptable probably.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I’m okay with it, but again, not crazy about it. I think it solves some minor issues though without giving up core pieces, so there’s that.

  38. Josh says:
    (link)

14 team .5 ppr league – who do you like better this week at flex, Snead or Lat Murray? Thanks

  39. Zandy says:
    (link)

or rather send Alshon for Kelvin and Dalton?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I think I like that deal the best. I’d actually do that.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: I’ll try it and see

  40. Crapshoot Kershaw says:
    (link)

14 team league where i finally got some luck (you’ll notice the bad luck lately)
    QB luck
    RB (2) booker/mccoy/ware/charles/CAP/ivory
    WR (3) diggs/a.brown/parker/t.williams (SD)/woods
TE henry/eifert (1 flex could be TE)
    1. drop CAP for any of d.will (PIT)/morris/cruz/coates/c.patterson/dorsett?
    2. if not in 1, what about for a backup QB in one of cutler/landry/mccown/bradford?

    • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: oh man having cj anderson in only 1 league and booker in at least 4 (including obviously the anderson one) is looking great now.

      • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
        (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: PPR and this team is 7-0 and should only care about weeks 13-16.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: I hear ya. I’d drop CAP for eh, maybe Patterson just to see if Bradford keeps targeting him.

  41. Chicken Dinner says:
    (link)

Is Watkins worth a stash at this point?

    • Zandy says:
      (link)

@Chicken Dinner: yes i am stashing. great schedule if he can make it back –

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chicken Dinner: Yeah, I think he’s worth a stash, for sure.

  42. Crapshoot Kershaw says:
    (link)

12 teamer where cj anderson is now worthless. start 2 WR, 2 RB 1 flex PPR.
    QB luck
RB gurley/booker/lat murray (love how everybody loves him now, hated him mere weeks ago)/hill/d.lewis/anderson
    WR matthews/green/landry/meredith/s.smith
TE doyle/eifert (flex can’t be TE)
    drop anderson for either
    1. woods as WR 6
    2. luck back up with week 10 matchups (luck on bye)
    flacco vs CLE
    cutler @ TB
l.jones vs DAL (if he’s still playing here)
    wentz vs ATL
romo @ PIT (if he’s playing by this point)
    mccown @ BAL
    bradford vs WAS
this team 3-4 so needs to win as often as possible.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: Luck backup is fine right now… diggin the Cutler matchup, but so does Wentz a little. Maybe Flacco too. Lot of interesting options. I might just pick up Woods for now and then reassess after the week.

      • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
        (link)

@Jay: oops, how to rank s.shepard/woods/lee ROS here? shepard just dropped.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: I have it like that. I’d pickup Shepard, seems like a fluke he got dropped.

  43. Slippy says:
    (link)

RB pickle here… going to drop McKinnon for someone. You have any faith in yeldon tonight? Or wait for injury updates and pick up Alfred blue or Rob Kelley on Sunday.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Slippy: Do you have to drop him? I like Mck more than those three.

      • Slippy says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Yeah this league only has a 4 spot bench. You think he plays Monday?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Slippy: I think so.

              • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
                (link)

@Jay: i’d go blue (if miller news works out) or kelley over yeldon anyway.

  44. William Hung says:
    (link)

Yahoo lets you swap out the player who plays Thursday night if he’s on your bench, so I’m opting to do that tonight with Marqise Lee and see if he performs well – if he does, then I can feel better about rolling him out next week, and if he doesn’t then I can drop him for a different player for my FLEX.

Who do you feel better about in the FLEX? Knile Davis, Tyler Lockett, Dwayne Washington, or Jeremy Langford, or should I just roll with Lee?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: Just make sure to put him in your WR slot, to keep that flex open. And I have Lee slighty behind Davis, just FYI. I know [email protected] talked highly about him, so maybe he’s onto something.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: My 3 WRs are AJ Green, Edelman and Ty Mont so yeah my FLEX is open. It’ll be interesting turn of events if Lee doesn’t end up working out since I dropped Davis earlier this week for him… I’d just end up undoing this move Sun morning

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: They’re interchangeable, but I always cede the ceiling to a receiver in most cases. If they get enough targets and endzone looks, they can put up some redonk numbers.

          • William Hung says:
            (link)

@Jay: true – alright i’ll roll Lee and pray

              • William Hung says:

  47. Old Dirty says:

Would you pick up will fuller and drop anyone ? He will clear waivers tomorrow.

    Qb Ryan
    Rb ware, freeman
    Wr ab, Evans
Bench – Wilson , Jennings , Crowell, Adams , ty mont, Meredith

    Thanks again

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@Old Dirty: adams. maybe meredith if you suddenly believe all this adams hype. if fuller even had a top 20th overall QB this wouldn’t even be close.

      • goodfold2 says:
        (link)

@goodfold2: which brings up exactly how utterly horrible brock lobster actually is. hopkins was AWESOME with pretty turrible QB’s for a few years, not now.

@goodfold2: I agree, Brock has been disastrous.

@Old Dirty: Yeah, I like him slightly more than Meredith there.

  48. CB says:

Deal Ajayi and Jeffrey for Jordy and H. Henry? Or should I try and get more with Jordy.

my RBs are Ware, Freeman, Zeke, West, Ajayi
my Wrs are Julio, Jeffery, Desean, Lockett, Floyd
    TE is Reed

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@CB: No, I wouldn’t do that. I think you can do better.

  49. Deck says:
    (link)

    Two questions:

If you can handle it on your bench and are locked into the playoffs, what do you think about picking up AP?

In playoff position with Bell/McCoy/Quizz/Martin/DeAngelo/Knile/Montgomery(RB), Evans/Diggs/D Adams/Shepherd/Moncrief/Montgomery(WR). We are limited to six RB so Montgomery is a free extra RB.

Would you drop DeAngelo or Knile for Dion Lewis and AP or both in this situation?

    • Deck says:
      (link)

@Deck: By the way question one is different then question two. In another league I’m set and had a wide open spot (drop Don Jackson)…

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Deck: Yeah, he’s an okay drop, totally.

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Deck: I’d hold on Williams just in case, but do the Knile for Dion Lewis switch.

  50. Crapshoot Kershaw says:

good god this is a bad week for D streaming for those of us who either don’t use our waivers for this or do all the time and are constantly at back of waivers. NYJ and TEN i’m sure have nice low ownership % but in competitive leagues those aren’t obtainable with 9th and worse waivers.

guys i’ve used quite often like GB/BUF are worse than the DET/JAX teams. so i got DET/JAX in a LOT of spots.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: Yeah, I think it’s Titans out there and nothing much else.

      • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
        (link)

@Jay: NYJ and TEN were but not with my waiver in leagues i’m streaming D’s. this was due mostly to the byes i’m sure.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: Oh yeah, I was agreeing. Depending on Titans isn’t exactly a positive thought.

getting very nervous having to use JAX in a 20 teamer and somewhere else. mariota (a guy who i’m pretty sure averages like 230 or so yds a game) getting 100 in a QT isn’t good.

    • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
      (link)

@Crapshoot Kershaw: oh there’s bortles thinking this is funny somehow eh. that dude’s yards and (mostly 2nd half) TD’s last year saved me in a few leagues where i lost luck. a-rob/hurns owners not happy.

      • Crapshoot Kershaw says:
        (link)

@Jay: well, some positives in that league. i’ve also got lee (might get a ton of return yards and game is already in garbage time where he gets all his usage), t.smith (LB) he might get up to like 20 tackles, j.casey (DT) he might get some sacks now that everybody knows bortles will throw rest of the entire game.

funniest part is i could’ve just stuck with BUF vs NE or CLE, or even yr buddies.

        • Jay

          Jay says:

@William Hung: sweet jebus, he almost got a 2nd chance to throw it on same snap.

@William Hung: He looks like Tebow at this point.

@Jay: stopped watching once it hit halftime. I regret taking a chance on Lee… it also got me to question why I have WRs with terrible QBs like Landry, Parker, and Britt – though Britt is outperforming Parker… I really need to do a better job next year targeting guys with good QBs instead of just looking at players in a vacuum.

        @Jay: wow was this apt,
“Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Bortles was utterly horrendous, and frankly, lucky not to get benched. His stats do not tell the story of a quarterback who was tossing painful wobblers all evening. His motion has become a cross between side-armed Matthew Stafford and Tim Tebow. At times it looked like he was trying to toss a fully-baked turkey. All of Bortles’ “production” came in garbage time. He was 8-of-16 for 64 yards as the Jags trailed 27-0 at halftime. Bortles was bad enough to get his coach fired, something that seems like a distinct Friday possibility”

you don’t also work for rotoworld do you now?

@Jay: the game tonight? Or fantasy football? :(
I’m just so thankful I’m not going against Bortles

        @Jay: BLAH! That’s what I say… should’ve benched Lee

@Jay: If my luck shoots up to neutral this week, the guy I play should only score like 40 points

  58. What up Jay, love these rankings. So far 7-0 in a 12 team ppr. Looking to pad the roster for down the line.
    QB- Rivers, Fitz
RB- Ware, Charles ,C-Mike, Mathews, Jennings
WR- Julio, Evans, Tate, Montcrief, Wallace
    Olsen
I just dropped Doyle for fitz and grabbed Montcrief for Powell. I’m thinking either Jennings or Mathews are expendable to grab some insurance or lottery ticket. Rawls, Starks, or Dion Lewis are on my wire for a grab and stash. Any thoughts? Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Ty inez: Thanks Ty! I think Mathews for Dion is okay in this situation, but I’m fine holding too. No clue why Fitz was on the wire, what a great pickup.

@A bag of sand: All bunched super close, I’m going with Smith for the floor, Palmer with the ceiling.

@Zandy: I think it’s Knile, but really close right now. I’ll probably watch some film on him before I update my rankings tomorrow.

    QB: Brees

    WR: Nelson
    TE: Henry
    Flex: Booker
    D/ST: Bengals

      @Josh: I have Snead there.

You rank Meredith fairly high for PPR, what is your reasoning there? Thanks.

      @Shark:
(I’m trying to decide between Tyrell Williams or Meredith in PPR…ugh.)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Shark: I’m liking that entire offense a bit more with Cutlers imminant return. He gets a lot of flak, but he does offer an uptick there. I do like him over Williams slightly, almost a coin flip even… so it shouldn’t be considered a huge deal.

  66. Derek says:

Thanks for the rankings! I’d love a little extra rest of season possible trade advice if you don’t mind.

16 Team Standard League; QBs score 6 pts per TD, so they mean more than some leagues-
    Starters: 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1RB/WR/TE, 1TE, 1K, and 1DST

QBs: Derek Carr, (Bench: Brock Osweiller)
RBs: Devontae Booker, Jonathan Stewart, Jeremy Hill (Bench: Ka’Deem Carey, CJ Anderson, had Arian Foster but dropped for Ka’Deem this week)
WRs: Jeremy Maclin, Quincy Enunwa (Bench: O’dell Beckham, Steve Smith, Cory Coleman)
TEs: Martellus Bennett (Bench: Julius Thomas)
    K: Matt Bryant
DST: Dallas (had Rams but need to drop due to bye; will pick them up again if available next week)

I feel like for a 16 team league, I don’t have a bad team; maybe not a league winner, but maybe the playoffs. Though, I sit now with a 3-4 record thus far (just about to play the top team in the league this week), and have had a disappointing luck with WRs this season (and overall, have not had much consistency in my scorers). Derek Carr is good, I like him at QB for me. I feel like my RBs are pretty decent for the deeper league. WRs have been soooooo disappointing for me. Obviously, there are probably better things for O’dell if I keep patient on him, but I don’t know what to do with the others. Waiver wire is usually picked over pretty quick, so I’m wondering if you may have any trade advice. I’ve never actually done one this year yet. I could use some examples or ideas.

    Thanks so much!

    RB: Bernard, _______
    TE: Gronkowski
    W/R/T: Sanders
    D/ST: Kansas City
Bench: Rivers, Wallace, L. Bell, McCoy, McKinnon, Fleener, Philadelphia

I need a RB but not sure who to drop. Sproles would be the add. Drop KC, PHI or McKinnon?

KC: @IND, JAX, @CAR, TB, @DEN, @ATL, (OAK, TEN, DEN)
    PHI: @DAL, @NYG, ATL, @SEA, GB, @CIN, (WAS, @BAL, NYG-TNF)
